Jonah (POV)
Yesterday we three best friend won singing competition. But Rain and Ariana were not happy at all. I don't know why? Because Rain got the first prize and Ariana was not a good singer but still she worked hard and because of her hard work she sang well and got the second price making me proud of her. Still, they were not happy. Ariana also mentioned a girl name, Melissa. I don't know who is she but I think something happened in the past between them. I wanted to ask them but they both already left. Today is a painting competition. I am very excited about it but I don't know about Ariana and Rain. Yesterday when I went to her house for dinner. She was not talking and silently eating her food thinking about something. I wanted to ask her but when I started to speak one word she used to interrupt me by saying "eat this it's delicious" or "have you practiced for tomorrow competition?" I thought she knows what I was going to ask her and she doesn't want to answer so I kept quiet after that. I took my bag and went outside of the house. I saw Ariana standing alone outside of her house. I went to her.
"Hey! For whom you are waiting? I asked.
"For you" she replied.
"Do you want to ride?" she nodded to my question.
I sat in the driver seat while she sat in the passenger seat beside me. She was still silent thinking about something. This time I don't want to ask her because I think I should ask Rain about it. Rain was mad at Melissa's name than Ariana but I think I should ask him. We reached the school in fifteen minutes. She got out of the car while went to the parking lot to park the car. After parking, I went to the hall for my locker. I took some books from it and kept in my bag. I decided to go to the painting class because painting competition is going to be held there. I started to walk when Salina came in front of me and started to speak.
"I don't know what Ariana did to you that you are ignoring me?"
"She didn't do anything but you did to her" I stated with a stern voice.
"What did I do to her?" she asked innocently.
"You remember two months ago I called you in my house and the juice that you spilled on her was not an accident I saw you doing it purposely," I said to her and a shock expression appeared on her face.
"I didn't do it purposely" she argues and I again started to ignore her.
"Don't ignore me, Jonah, I am not lying"
"Until you don't apologize to her I won't talk to you," I said and started to walk.
"I won't apologize to her and you will regret to be with her" she yelled. But I didn't listen to her.
I reached to the painting room and saw Ariana and Rain already took their seat and they were silent. I always see them smiling but this time they were silent not speaking a word.
"Ok Candidates now the competition starts"
We started painting. I remembered Ariana wearing a black dress at Lisa's birthday party and she was looking so pretty I want to draw pictures of her. But there will a lot of questions that why I painted her. So I decided to show her back. I painted her as blonde hair which is short. I also remembered the day when she got wet herself in rain. So I added rain in my painting but here instead of getting wet, she is holding an umbrella I kept crimson leaves and tree around her. I finished my painting after one hour. I saw Ariana painting and it was most beautiful than any other painting. She painted a girl who is wearing a red long gown and brown hair with a messy bun. The girl is standing in the balcony. She shaded the Eiffel tower in front of the girl. But we had a similarity in both of our paintings that we both painted a girl that shows her back. We all submitted our paintings.
Definitely, Ariana got the first, Tina got the second and I got the third price. One by one everyone was moving out. After finishing our painting I decided to ask Rain about Melissa but I couldn't reach him because he already left. These guys are making me curious. I was walking in the corridor. Then suddenly remembered that two months before I announced in class that if they attend class and do their work then we will have a camp. I decided to go to Ms. Patterson's office to discuss. After reaching I knocked on the door "Can I come in Ms. Patterson" I asked and her voice heard me saying "come in" I entered her office.
"Good Morning Ms. Patterson" I greeted and she told me to sit down. I sat on a chair opposite to her.
"I thought that these last two months our class did well in their studies and I think if we...can go for a camp?" I asked Ms. Patterson in nervousness.
"Yes I can give you permission, but let the principal know about that," she said then again she continued.
"If you want I can ask on behalf of you," she said and a big smile made through my lips. Our principal is very strict. Every student at this school is scared of her because of strictness. I am not scared but it's about camp so I feel nervous to ask. Our principal is very strict about our studies.
"Where do you guys want to go?" I was broken from my thoughts after hearing Ms. Patterson.
"Actually I don't know? I didn't ask my classmates" I sincerely replied.
"Okay then first you all decide then report me and then you can go next week I will ask permission from the principal," she said and I replied with yes.
I left the office after discussing it with Ms. Patterson. Today we don't have much crowd in the school and I don't know why? I decided to call Ariana since I didn't see her after the painting competition. She picked my call after the second ring.
"What do you want?" she asked and I could hear loud noises from behind.
"Where are you?" I asked ignoring her question.
"Basketball competition" she replied. I totally forgot about the Ace competition and the loud noises were cheering noises. I made my way towards the sports block. I reached there in five minutes and saw that the game was already started. The seats were full and now I think all the school students are here. I couldn't see Ariana in this crowd.
Ariana (P.O.V)
After the competition, I directly came here. I saw Jonah painting he made a girl I am curious who would she be? I don't know why but I got mad after seeing that painting. These two days are not going well. I feel tired I want to take a rest. Anyway, I think I should concentrate here on seeing basketball. I didn't know that Ace was the captain and he doesn't even bother to tell me. I saw Jonah who was searching for someone. Before a few minutes, he called me. Is he searching for me? If it is then why? I asked myself and shouted towards him calling his name.
"Jonah" I called out loud and he did listen because he saw towards me and started to come near me. When he reached he sat beside me.
"I thought you don't have an interest in sports?" He murmured something under his breath that I couldn't hear.
"Where is Rain?" he asked.
"He already left," I said and he nodded.
"Do you know that we are going camping next week?" he said and I shouted in excitement.
"Where?" I asked.
"I need to discuss with the class," he said and I nodded.
"Do you want to eat ice-cream? I mean we have a weekend so we can hang out" he said. After a few minutes, Lisa came. She told me that she had some work in the library so she will come late here. I think her work is finished.
"Hey! Guys sorry I think I am too late"
"Nope, you are not" Jonah and I said in unison.
"Ariana, I thought you were too tired this morning but now I think you got energetic," Lisa said and she was right I need some rest.
"I think we should cancel the ice-cream because I think you should get some rest and I think we all are tired,," Jonah said and I smiled at him.
"Yeah, but we will still have ice-cream on Sunday," I said to and he nodded.
"Guys, What are you both talking about?" Lisa asked.
"Actually before just you came here we decided to hang out today but I think we should better take some rest" I explained her and she nodded. After that, we decided to concentrate on basketball but I think the game was over. Everyone was shouting and cheering. I got up to see because everyone in front of us was stood and shouting. I saw Ace who was very happy and excited. I think his team won. I am so happy for him. In a few minutes, Ace came towards us.
"Congratulations Ace" we three congratulated him in unison. After a few minutes Jonah, Lisa and I left from there and since Ace was the captain of the team, the coach called him to talk. He said that it will take time so we decided to leave. I reached home after twenty minutes and I think Dad went to the grocery shop. He works very hard for me. I am glad that he is my dad.
