"So you see Bella, it wasn't my fault..." He shrugs "...if you hadn't kissed me that night, we wouldn't be here having this conversation. The plan was to marry you and after a year, we would get a divorce. I will make up some story of why it couldn't work..." He waved his hand dismissing the details.
"...That way, I would have my inheritance and get the girl." He smiles at Serafina and she blushes.
"But you see, things don't always work out as planned. For some reason my father changed his mind the day he met you and told me I will have to be married to you for five years. He said he didn't trust how quickly I was getting married to you but I can't handle being without Serafina for five years so I knew immediately that I couldn't keep up with this." He points to me and him.

"But why me?" I finally speak, on the verge of tears.
"I don't know Bella; at first I felt bad for doing this to you but when you came to my office the other day talking about how you were pregnant with my child and other nonsense, I knew you were just a gold-digging bitch."
I gasp in total shock. Does this fool really think I'm trying to pin someone else's baby on him? Okay now I'm angry.
"This..." I poke my tummy while moving closer to him. "...is your child. Have you forgotten what happened between us." I asked pissed off by his assumption.
"I used protection so, not possible." he smacks his lips then shrugs.
Serafina hasn't said a word since so I decide to challenge her. "Are you seriously listening to all this without any comment?"
"Look I'm not a bad person neither is my love but bad things happen to good people." she shrugs then wraps her hands around his waist and he kisses her forehead.
{Bastard.}
"Is that really all you have to say?" I raise my voice a little. "I lost my Innocence to this guy you call your love, he's refusing to accept his child and that is all you have to say?" I'm pissed at how she sees no problem with this bullcrap.
"What do you mean innocence?"
"I was a freaking virgin and Alex took my virginity." Alex looks like he doesn't believe me but Serafina looks shocked. She releases his waist then turns to Alexander and tugs on his suit. "Is it true?' she asks rather sadly.
"Of course it isn't, she is a con-artist. Can't you smell her lies from a mile away baby?"
"I was you asshole, didn't you see the blood on your sheets!!" I take deep enraging breaths. I'm not even a tad bit embarrassed that I said that out loud.
"I don't clean my room sooo..." he shrugs. "Even if you were, it doesn't mean the child is mine." Alexander says not breaking eye contact with me. Serafina looks confused but I think she believes Alex over me because she stands firmly by his side and folds her arms.
"Serafina love, would you be your amazing self and please leave us alone, I need to get something through this woman's head."
"Okay." She stands on her tiptoes and kisses Alexander deeply. "Don't waste too much time." She smiles at me then bumps her shoulder into me on her way out.
{I don't know if she's really dumb or Alex is really good at brainwashing people.}

Here I am, standing in the middle of Alexander's office, tears streaming down my face, my heart beating out of my chest and feeling like my life is over.
"Look Bella...you're a good girl, I believe it, maybe greedy but still good, it's just that...when you kissed me in that parking lot it felt like a sign from God."
The audacity to bring God into this.
"Well God doesn't help the merciless." I scream. He chuckles.
"I think it's time for you to leave."
"I'm not leaving without a fight!!"
"There is nothing for you to fight for!! I'm not yours, never have been and never will be." His voice reduces with every word spoken.
"I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about my child, to fight for our child. You can't deny this baby!!! I don't care if you support us but you can't deny that this child is yours."
"I think I can and I just did." He presses the intercom." Eva please call security to escort miss Owunmere out of my office."
"I'm leaving already but mark my words Alex, you will regret this." Are the last words I speak before I rush out of Alexander's office. I see Eva twirling a lock of her brown hair with a wicked smirk on her face. She mouths 'ouch' then covers her mouth with her hand and giggles. I walk up to her and slam my palm on her table.
"Did you know about this?" I asked angrily.
"Of course I did. Serafina is my best friend for goodness sake!! seeing her in distress left me in distress too. I had to get to the bottom of it so I confronted Alexander and he opened up to me." Eva shrugs then she begins to vibrate with laughter. "I can't believe you thought...." She gives me a once-over. "...Alex could actually like you to the extent of wanting to marry you."
I decide to ignore the laughing hyena and leave with what little dignity I had left. I call an uber once I'm out of Alexander's office building and have gotten my luggage from the receptionist.

I see a tall lanky man in an oversized suit walking towards me. At first the only thing I could think of was he was coming to tell me to stop littering the entrance with myself.
Because that is how I feel, like trash. Everyone probably already knows what happened in there with the way people going in and out of the building are staring at me... Or maybe it's just me over thinking things again.
"Madam Mrs Hart would like to have a word with you." A gruff voice draws me out of my thoughts.
"Mrs who?" I asked confused.
"Mrs Hart."
{Why does she want to see me??}
"Where is she?"
"Follow me ma'am."
"I can't leave my bags." I gesture to the luggage.
"I'll take them."
I see that this might take some time so I cancel my Uber. He guides the way towards a white bmw.
I'm not really good with cars so I don't know what type it is all I know is that it's a bmw.
The man opens the door for me and I slip into the car to see Alex's mum. She takes off her shades and greets me with her pearly white smile.

"Hello Bella it's nice to see you again."
I scrunch up my nose looking a bit confused. I don't understand this woman, sometimes she's nice, other times she is just plain of rude.
"Look I'm sorry for the way I reacted when we saw that time at my house." Mary says looking down at her palm. I nod my head, waiting for her to continue.
"It's just...Alexander had been in love with Serafina since the day he met her in kindergarten but her father is my husband's business rival and that didn't sit well with my husband so when I saw Alexander bring you over, I was angry that he replaced someone who he claimed to love so easily but it made no sense how you were getting married so soon. I confronted Xander and he explained everything about the contract. I want to thank you for helping but Benjamin probably knows about Serafina's visit today since I was the one that advise him to call her over."
{What contract?}
"Alexander and Serafina will be eloping tomorrow and I just want what is best for my son. I know you won't get your full payment now that the deal is off...so I would like you to have this." She holds a brown envelope towards me but I push her hand back.
"What contract? What payment?"
