Allen shook his head, "I can't tell you that. All I can say is that be wary of them."
Stella rolled her eyes, "I figured that out after being their source of food for two months."
Allen was dumbstruck, "You....you!!!!! The Zukao brothers fed on you for two months!?!?!"
Stella: "More louder. I think there's someone three blocks away who didn't hear you."
Allen dropped his voice, "They fed on you for two months!?!?! How are you still alive?!?!"
Stella shrugged, "I don't know. You guys don't really drink much blood. And I pretended to faint whenever they drank anything more than necessary."
Allen: "And it worked?"
Stella: "Pretty much. And it helped. When they thought I was unconscious, I gathered from their conversations that my blood was so sweet that now the smell of other's blood felt kind of bitter to them."
Allen shuddered and Stella continued, "So I knew that my only chance was to run away. If my blood was so special, there was no way they would just let me go once they were satisfied."
Allen looked at her in horror and Stella asked, "Sharp didn't tell you all this?"
Allen: "Den knows!?!?"
Stella: "Of course. I told him my whole story."
Allen: "You did? Well, I've gotta say shortcake, I don't get you."
Stella chuckled, "Many people say that. But what in particular?"
Allen: "How can you talk so nonchalantly about those five monsters feeding on you for two months!?!?"
Stella's eyes dimmed as she looked into the distance, "I can talk nonchalantly because I don't let my emotions surface. I'm afraid of the things that happen when I lose control of my emotions."
Allen asked, his voice barely above a whisper, "What happens when you lose control of your emotions?"
But Stella did not reply. She continued to look past him and her eyes looked like she was seeing something very horror and painful. Allen turned around and saw that there was only a brown wall at the spot Stella was staring.
As he turned around musing what was happening, he was horrified to see Stella. Her hands were gripping on the glass and she was squirming in her seat, like something was hurting her very bad.
She closed her eyes and clenched her teeth.
Allen was worried what was happening, he reached out and put a hand on Stella's shoulder, that seemed to be the breaking point. Stella grabbed his wrist and squeezed it with so much force that even he had to muffle his scream. The glass that was being gripped by her other hand shattered with a loud noise.
As suddenly as it had started, Stella calmed down. She blinked and looked around at all the people staring at them. She then shook her head and let go of Allen's wrist, which he began to rub with his other hand.
Stella's whole face was glistening with sweat as she looked at Allen with worry and said, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I don't know why I did that!! Oh my god!!! What did I do?!"
Allen pulled out a few notes from his pocket and put them on the table and grabbed Stella's unhurt hand and dragged her all the way out of the parlour.
He only stopped when they were a long way from the parlour on a pedestrian street.
