Chapter 20 - Undercover

(Reader's pov)

A couple of days later it was 1st December and I received a month holiday. I knew that it was the perfect chance to spend much time with Nozel and bring him back to normal, but it was a problem: his father and Beatrice. I had to do that without them noticing me.

After a couple of minutes of thinking, a briliant ideea came in my mind: to go there disguised as a maid, so they won't recognize me. I bought hair paint and commoner clothes and went to the bathroom to change my look. First, I cut my hair and applied the paint .After that , I changed in my new clothes and tried to speak with a different accent so they won't recognize my voice. At the end of the day, I was a completely other person, I wasn't (Y/N) Kira anymore, I was Silvia Candel* (you can change the name if you don't like it).

I went to the castel to apply for the job. From what I knew, it was needed a babysitter for the youngest Silva and that was my great opportunity to learn more about them.

"So... You are Silvia Candel* and you came here to apply for the babysitter job, isn't it?" a woman asked while looking up and down at me.

"Yes ,ma'am!"

"Are you sure about that? Many other girls applied for this job and in the same day they quit." I was a bit dazzled at what she said. To apply for a job and quit in the same day!? How hard it is to take care of three little children? I mean, Acier Silva was a very kind person and never looked stressed or frustrated because she had to take care of three children, on the contrary, she was really happy.

"Yes, ma'am!"

"Okay, then. Here's their program. Make sure that they will respect it." she said and gave me a large scroll. My eyes were wide open. How could a child respect a program like that every day? No wonder why the other girls quit." Their rooms are at the second floor on the East wing, good luck!" she said and left.

I went to the second floor and realized that I didn't which hallway. That woman said the East wing, but I didn't know what was East. I red many books about everything, except the ones about navigation. I could barely read a map, but to know where was East..... I was doomed, until I saw a maid and asked her where was the East wing. She pointed at a big hallway and wish me luck.

I went in the hallway and stopped in front of a door where I could hear their voices. I took a deep breath and opened the door. They stopped talking and looked at me.

"Hi, I'm your new babysitter. My name is Silvia*. What's your name?" I said very nervous .It was the first time when I talked with someone younger than me. Not to mention that they were so cute.

"You should know our name, stupid commoner!" Nebra said and they weren't cute anymore. They looked at me like they were going to kill me(except Noelle because she was too young to do that), just like their father. At least, I was then sure that they are his kids.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I really don't know your name."

"Uhhg....Fine. My name is Nebra, he is Solid and this is the House of Silva's shame: Noelle." she said and the three year old girl started crying. Solid turned angry and he was about to slap her little sister, but I grabbed his hand.

"HOW DARE YOU TO TOUCH ME, FILTHY COMMONER?!" he yelled at me and I freed his hand.

"You can't do that, she's your little sister. You must protect her, not harm her."

"You're not telling me what to do!" he said and tried to slap her sister again who was still crying , but I stopped him.

"She deserves that. Because of her, WE DON'T HAVE A MOTHER ANYMORE!" Nebra said and both of them started to cry. I was so sorry for them ,that I hugged them.

"I know how hard it is without a mother. I understand you, but it's not Noelle's fault. She is just a child who suffers even more than you because she doesn't know how it is to have a mother. I hope that you will understand that one day." I said and let them. At that moment I realized how much it affected them, even it was three years ago. I approached to Noelle and hugged her too. She hugged me back tightly.

I turned around and looked at them. They were looking at the ground , avoiding eye contact with me. They were scared.

"Do yo really know how it is without a mother?" Nebra said and lifted her her look to me while I was still hugging Noelle.

"Unfortunately, I know. My mother died when she gave birth to me and nobody loved me. I was alone and sad, but you don't have to suffer like I did. You have each other and me as well. "

"Really?" Solid said and approached to me.

"Yes. I don't want to be a babysitter for you. I want to be your friend." I said and wiped his tears. He then hugged me. I looked at Nebra. She was standing in front of me, without moving.

"Would you like to join, Nebra?" I said and opened my right arm let her in. She wiped her tears and hugged me. All four of us stayed hugged for a minute , until I heard their stomach rumbling. I let them and stood up. "Okay, now let's go to eat! If you are good, I'll make you cookies!"

"Yay!"

We went to the dinning room. They ate in silence while I was in the kitchen making cookies, for them. After, they ate their meal, they tasted my cookies and smiled.

"They are so good!" Solid said and started eating the second cookie.

I was so happy to see know that they liked my cookies that I didn't noticed that someone was behind me.

"Big brother Nozel!" Nebra said and handed him a cookie. "You must taste it. It's very good!"

I turned around and meet his eyes. I was shocked for a second. He looked at me and his siblings with cold eyes. It made me shiver a bit. He ignored his sister and left.

"He is our big brother, Nozel. Don't worry about him, he always is so serious, like our father, but we know that he loves us." Nebra said with a smile on her face.

"That's so cute!" I said and blushing. Nebra noticed that, but didn't say anything.

The rest of the day we spent playing games and reading stories. It was time to sleep. First, I put Noelle to bed and Solid. Nebra was the last one.

"Silvia*, do you like big brother Nozel?" she said with a smirk on her face.

"W-what.. no! Where did that come from?" I said with a red face.

"I saw you blushing when he left and you are doing it now." I didn't wanted to admit it, but she was right. I started to have feelings for him. "Too bad that he has to marry with Beatrice."

"Who is Beatrice?" I ask her because I wanted to know how Beatrice treat them.

"She's a horrible and selfish person. She forces my brother to buy her expensive things and mocks him. She is so mean with us. One day, she said that I'm ugly." she said and started crying.

"She's wrong. You're not ugly. You're a beautiful girl and, when you will grow up, you will become more beautiful." I said and wiped her tears.

"I want you to be the one who will marry with him. You're far more better than her."

"Ohhh.... Thank you so much, Nebra, but I am a commoner and I don't think that your brother likes me."

"Do you think that my brother likes Beatrice? Then you're wrong! My brother hates her, but he can't do anything about it because of my father." she said with sadness in her eyes.

"I'm sorry for you that you are forced to stay with her, but everything will be fine.Just don't lose your hope, okay?" I said patting her head.

"Okay!"

"Good..Yawn... It's time to sleep. Goodnight!"

"Goodnight!" she said and closed her eyes. I slowly left her room, closed the door and then, I saw Nozel standing next to the door. I flinched when I saw his eyes. They were cold and scary, just like his father's.

"Oh, hi! I didn't see you there. I'm Silvia* and..." I couldn't finish because he ignored me and left. "Okay then. Goodnight!" I said, but he didn't response.

I went in my new room, took a shower and went to bed. My first day there went very good, especially that the three siblings liked and respected me, which did the work more easier, but Nozel was acting strange. I hoped that he didn't recognize me so I could help him to bring him back at the way he was two years ago.

(Nozel's pov)

That day I had a day off and I spent it watching over my siblings. Seeing them happy was the only thing that could make me happy, but that girl, Silvia*, was so strange. The way she was treating my siblings was so familiar. It reminded me of (Y/N) and the good moments I spent with her, but that times passed and they would never go back.
