Chapter 28 - I Wish (3rd Person POV Chapter)

"A-Ava?" Blake whispers. Blake is scared, he doesn't want Ava experiencing nightmares. They can feel so real..

Ava shuffles again, another tear drop dancing on her cheek. Blake almost drops her, but makes her secure again. He stares at her tiny face. She is suddenly not heavy anymore. "Ava don't play like this! You're making me worried.." Ava half opens her eye. She had been awake after the second tear, because of a nightmare. She noticed he was holding her and decided to pretend to be sleep.

"Ava..." Ava closes her eye and moves some more. 'Maybe I'll get his secret.' Ava thinks. Blake walks to the door, pushing it open with his leg. Ariel had already gone to sleep, so it was only them two awake in the house. He walks to her assigned room and lays her down on the bed. Ava shuffles a little then looks like she is peacefully sleeping. He stares again, daydreaming. "Oh Ava.. I wish we did this when we were kids. I wish I had gotten to know you, maybe even visited you, but the dangers were high. I wish I was always with you, protecting you. I love you Ava, you deserve the world little sister." Blake kisses her forehead, then walks out the room, sighing.

Ava's head perks up in amazement. She thinks on what he said, then remembers one word that stood out. 'SISTER?'

Ava's Dream-

Ava was in the middle of the ocean, in her mermaid form. Ursula stood 50 feet in front of her. Ava looks around, frightened. Ursula grabs Ava's ankle, and tossed it. Ava is sent flying, when she noticed a dumbbell attached to her foot. Ava starts drowning, falling deeper into the water. She reached the twilight zone, and Ava started crying. She couldn't breathe, it was like she had no powers. She was defenseless. She felt vulnerable. Then, she sees a light. She couldn't go to it, she only could look. Then the dream ends.
