The woman leads me to the throne room. I look around, it's so beautiful.. it contains majestic mermaid statues with orbs in each statue's hand. I reach my hand out to touch it but the woman snaps back a look at me. These must be really special.
I look in front and there is a huge door. It looks carved from old wood, with a mermaid in the middle of it. The weird thing is that the mermaid looks in trouble, like it's dying. The doors slowly open, revealing a woman with long brown hair, and sea blue eyes.
Her hair is in a long French braid that goes down to her lower back, with gem headpieces that sparkle as bright as the sun. She has glitter makeup around the top of her face, with a light red lipstick. Her lips are thin, but with the lipstick they look bolder, like they have their own confidence.
With her back is slightly to me, she stares out the window. "Come in Sahara. Come in Ava," she says with a confident yet gentle tone. She knows my name!! I followed the woman named Sahara into the room. I see a table with two lounging sofas surrounding it. The lady walks over to the table and sits on it.
"Come hither my flower."
Her flower?? IM her flower?? I go and sit on the sofa. It feels like silk, the expensive kind. The woman waves her hand, forming a mini tornado. It then disappears and shows 2 smoothies.
"There is a Piña Colada smoothie. Your favorite," she says with a knowing tone. I pick it up, is this for real?? I know it's my dream but WOW the dream gods went crazy this time. They made this dream look so real.. so vivid... I look up from the smoothie I've been unknowingly slurping this whole time. The woman smiles and picks up her own Piña Colada smoothie. She stares with a genuine look, like she knows me personally.
"I am here to commune with you Ava."
"Commune with me? This is my dream, who are you?"
"I am your mother my love."
"Your the one who made the journal?"
"Yes, and remember everything I told you in the Chapter 1."
"Of course. Soo what do I call you?"
"It might be a little weird to call me Mum or Mother yet, so call me Ariel."
Ariel? Did she say Ariel? Like, the children's movie?
"Did you say Ariel? Like, the famous Ariel?"
"Yes my flower, I am Ariel."
I want to say, 'You're completely different than the one in the movie,' but I decide thats a little mean.
I want to hug her. I want to tell her everything that has been going on, I want to tell her about my new friend, I want her to know the painful events my parents put me through. Speaking of, the guy at that party.. I kinda left him hanging. I should ask my mom for his number or something. Maybe I could lighten up a little bit more.. He never really told me his name.
Anyway, Ariel takes me to her balcony. Well, is it a balcony if everything is under water? Don't think so but it's very pretty. The whole balcony is covered with a see-through stained glass window. It is the same woman from the door but in stained glass form. Ariel sees me looking at the woman and she sighs.
"That woman belongs to a very ancient mermaid story."
"Can I hear it?"
"Are you sure you are ready to unveil the truth?"
I recognize that from the journal. Is this the truth she said I "wasn't ready for?"
"Am I? Well.."
