I wake up, trying to keep calm. Im at home, the ride probably ended. Outside I see the sky is a dark, rusty red. I arise from my bed and I run to my phone. I call Chloe, but she doesn't know what's going on either. I keep my cool and I peek into the Queens room. Her and my father aren't present there, so I go outside, seeing the guards running around like little babies. What is going on?!?
I manage to stop one of the guards and I ask, "Sir what's going on?"
The guard only looks at me with shock and he runs away quickly.
I look around, unable to process what was happening. I look up again, and I see the moon is a horrible shade of red. This was obviously a blood moon. We didn't get them as often as everyone else in the world, but why did that make everyone so jittery?
I walk past the gate, seeing the Queen on the side of the road with my father. I walk up to them and I say, "I demand to know what's going on!"
My dad sighs, saying, "We only get blood moons every decade. What's making everyone weird is that-"
My dad doesn't finish his sentence, with the Queen cutting him off with a glare.
"What is it, spit it out."
They exchange nervous looks. They are obviously hiding something, but what is it? The only secret I know they hide is the whole 'world domination' and 'we stole you as a child' and 'we rule over these horrible monsters that we send to destroy the underwater kingdom that your REAL mother secretly rules.'
"Well honey.." the Queen stutters out, "tonight is a full blood moon."
"What's wrong with that.."
"It's time we told you something.."
But before the Queen could say anything, a hundred foot monster emerges from the ocean, followed by more monsters. They all emerged with horrible ghastly looks on their face, looking like they want revenge.
I'm in my own world trying to wrap my head around this, when I realize they are coming our way! My mom and dad are yelling so many words at me, they sound mixed up.
"GO INSIDE"
"HIDE-WE-GO-HER-"
One sentence that my father says stops me from my daze, and it does the same to the Queen.
"Go to your mother."
