Now it all made sense. She was looking for some thing desperately and it was probobly the capsule. The fact that her name is actually Marlyosa not Mary also makes sense since Mary seems like a boring name for a girl like her. But how could I see her in school? I mean she was new there but I could still see her like a week before I became…this…a ghost.
"I'm so so sorry Bella! Now because of me you're gonna have to spend your enternety here! You won't be able to get a new life! Can I call you Bella? I mean if it makes you uncomfortable I can call you Issabella! Or maybe you'll like a nick name like Raven? Because of your hair color obviously! Oh and you can call me Marly" Marly said as soon as she saw me. She seems like a talkative one.
"No it's okay call me whatever you prefer. And what do you mean enternety? I won't spend the rest of of the existence here will I? " I asked starting to panic hoping that what Maly said was just sarcasm.
Jackson looked at Marly like he was starting to get uncomfortable with my question.
"You didn't tell her? You being her team guide includes you telling her everything she needs to know! "Marly asked Jackson in disbelief and annoyance. Even tho Marly seemed like a wery sweet person she still could show any emotions.
"Didn't tell me what?" I still tried to deny that I allteady knew the answer to this question.
"I did tell her everything…except for that! It's not my fault that every ghost I tell that to ends up going full blown crazy psycho on me and tries to rip my eyeballs out telling me to give them back their life!" Jackson ignored my question and kept fighting with Marly.
"Hello I'm still here waiting for my answer! " I said all ready annoyed by both of them. Marly gave Jackson a dirty look and the turned to me.
"Bella, you are gonna be working for the Middle for the rest of the enternety! " she said taking a breath out. No. This can't be. I'm not staying here for…forever.
"There is no way! There is no way that I can't get a new life anymore just because Marly didn't collect me quick enough! " I said as I felt tears running down my cheeks.
"I already said I'm sorry Bella! I lost my capsule and I couldn't find it, I was looking for it like my life depended on it! There was nothing more I could do. " she answered with guilt and regret in her voice.
"Don't blame Marly on this! We all make mistakes" Jackson said as he grabbed my shoulders making me look into his eyes.
"Don't blame her on this? She's the reason why I'll never get to fall in love! She's the reason why I'll never get to have my own family or a job! I'll never graduate from college because of HER! " I yelled back at him while having a total mental breakdown. Atleast we know ghost can have those.
"I'll leave you two alone. "Marly said as she was going back to what she was doing. She was putting a person in a cage. Probobly someone who she just SUCCESSFULLY collected. As Jackson was pulling me by my wrist to go with him I took a last look at the person Marly was cageing and this person looked awfully familiar.
Jackson pulled me out of the hallway a d pulled me into his chest as tears were still falling from my eyes. I tried to get out feeling embarrassed about the situation but he held me tighter in his muscle arms. I tried to hold it in but then it just bursted out. I started crying hysterically.
"Hey, it's going to be okay! You'll get through this! " he said trying to calm me down. Exactly, I'll get through this. I'm all alone. There is no one who will offer me a room if I turn out to be guard like Marly offered Jackson. There will be no one to cover up for me like Jackson covered up for Marly. I'll have to go through an enternety of torture alone.
"Yeah, of course. " I said as I pulled away wiping my tears away. I was lying. I wasn't going to get through this but Jackson is just my team guide. As soon as he's done showing me around hell just forget I exist and the ill be totay alone.
"So what's up with that company name? " I tried to change the subject so I wouldn't start crying again.
"the middle? Well it's be couse we're in the middle of hell and heaven! "he answered kind of amused by my question.
"I'll go tell the boss that you're here and he can pick your profession. Stay here! " He said as he left me around the corner of the hallway of cages.
I stayed still for ten seconds and the I remembered the person that Marly was caging. It was a bad idea. A very very bad idea but I wanted to go check out who it was. I couldn't really catch their face but the hair, the height reminded me of someone but I couldn't really remember who it was.
If I'm actually about to do this and ignore my team guides rule to stay here, I'll have to be very quiet and very quick.
As I was tip toeing back in the hallway I saw all the people looking at me from the cages. They all looked miserable like theyve been sitting there for days with no sleep or food. I mean there is only one boss so I guess it takes a while to decide where every dead person will go. All the cages had locks so I couldn't release any of them. If there wouldnt be any locks I would release all of them even if I would have to sleep on the ground for the rest of the existence, witch there's a 1/3 chance I'll have to do that even without releasing the caged people.
I quietly walked by all the cages and turned to where the familiar one was in. I walked up to the cage and what I saw made me all most pass out.
It was Demi. My best friend was in that cage wich means she's dead.
