"What are you reading? " Marly asked as she brought our food to the table in the cafe. Her question made me really think about what I just read.
"I'm not quite sure. I just started it and the first thing it said is that love at first sight is not really possible and people who date other people for looks are pathetic." I said as I kept my eyes at the book and bit in crossont that Marly brought over
"Oh so you're a romance type of girl just like me! Tell me about it! First boyfriend, kiss, night? "she asked as she smirked weirdly at the last word. She clearly was a basic blonde. But I can't really choose who I spend my time with here.
"Uhh… well yeah, romance BOOKS and MOVIES Realy inspire me and give me that fuzzy feeling that I would want to experience with someone else. I think it's called love. But I have never have any experience with anybody in this matter. No kissing or boyfriends and defently not nights, hell I haven't even held hands with a boy." I said as I relised how bad that actually is for a nineteen year old.
"so you're telling me that in nineteen years of your life you haven't been attracted to anybody?"she looked at me dissapointed.
"Of course I have been attracted to people! I just couldn't let myself do anything about for it to just end in few months. My whole life I've been waiting for this amaizing feeling when you know theyre the one but it hasn't came and never will since I'm stuck here." I said as I started just swifting the omlete with a fork. I lost my appetite from just thinking about never being able to have a family anymore. I saw Marlys face fill with guilt again.
"I'm sorry…but you know who would make a good couple? You and-" she said but didn't get to finish her sentence because everybody started to get up and looking at the enterence and clapped.
We quickly got up and started clapping until I realised who we were clapping for. The boss. We all stopped clapping as he started talking.
"Goodmorning workers! It's a new day for work isn't it! Today in our ceremony we will be deciding the faith of Sara Nelson, Carter Butcher, Lily Rose…" He said a bunch of names of people as some guards dragged them into the cafe. He said around thirty names as thirty cages got dragged in the cafe but he just kept naming people. Wait, this is the ceremony where gets decided where the people will go, heaven or hell This must be happening every day since there were 100 stories filled with people in cages. All I was stressing about is that he doesn't name Demi yet, I didn't talk to our boss about letting her stay. As the boss kept going the last name stood out to me the most.
"…and jacky Pierce. Now lest start from the start and I'll decide these spirits faiths." He said as he got back to the first person he named. Jacky Pierce. She had the same surename as Jackson. And she had a similar name but a female version. It could be a consequence.
The boss came to the first person he named.
"Sara Nelson!" He said as the girl in the cage put her hand through the bars of the cage and the boss took it. The boss closed his eyes and it looked like he was doing some witchcraft stuff.
"Hell! " He said as he let go of the girls hand. Everybody started clapping. The guards took the girl out of the cage.
"No! No no no no! Please dont take me there! " The girl screamed as she got dragged out of the cage. She was crying and screaming. This sight was scary.
The boss put his hand to her haid and said something to himself. Then she just dissappeared. Just like that she was gone. She went to hell I guess.
"Next up is Carter Butcher! And he is going to..." The boss went to the other cage and did the same thing again, took his hand got him out of the cage and sent him to wherever he belonged. The ceremony was almost done. Jacky Pierce. Still couldn't shake the feeling that Jackson has something to do with her.
Speaking about Jackson. I saw him in the corner of my eye sitting by a table with other hunters. He looked nervous when Jackys name got called.
"Jacky Pierce! You are the last one today and you well be going to….hell!" He said as the guard pulled out the girl and made her dissappear. The people applauded. I looked at Jackson just to see him getting up and bursting out of the cafe. He had tears and anger in his eyes. I've never seen him cry. This girl clearly meant something to him.
"No…" Marly sighed as I saw sad surprise on her face. Did she know Jacky?
"Did you know her? " I asked as I thought maybe talking to her would make it better.
"I need to go find Jackson! " She said as she stormed up and ran out of the cafe. I followed her. I wanted to know who the girl was. I get that Marly was sad. Jacky didn't get to move on and get a new life in a new body. She went to hell.
"Why, who is she? " I asked as I ran next to Marly to wherever she was going. I saw tears forming in her eyes. I knew something was wrong.
"I'm sorry Bella but that is none of your business. " She said as she was checking every room on this floor.
"Please tell me I want to understand!" I said I desperately was asking for her to tell me why did she and Jackson act that way when they saw Jacky going to hell.
"Fine, you want to know who that is?" Marly asked one last time making sure I want to be a part of this mess.
"Jacky is Jacksons twin sister! "
