A/N: And here we have Nova's backstory. Another depressing mess to help bond the teammates some more. Seeing as we already know Topaz's background and Ariel has a pretty basic backstory aside from her father being injured, I'm not planning on doing a side chapter for their backstories. I was planning on uploading it tomorrow but with how short it is, I'm just deciding to upload it now. I hope you all enjoy.

After Scarlett tells the team her past Nova decides that it is his turn to let his team know about his past. Drawing the attention of his team, Nova takes a deep breath of his own before starting his own story.
Nova: *sigh* "Alright guys, seeing as Scarlett just poured her heart out to us, I guess it's my turn to share as well."
Scarlett: "Nova, you don't need to if you don't want to you know."
Nova: "No, I need to. It's something I've wanted to get off my chest for so long, but have never felt close enough to people to do so. When I first joined the team, I feared everything would happen again so I didn't open up, and then the fall happened. But I'm getting off track here, so let me just start from the beginning. I was born the oldest of six in a small village in Anima. Dad was a farmer and mom was an assistant to the town's blacksmith. Things were nice, but like everything else that seems to happen it had to end at some point."
Ariel: "Oh no."
Nova: "One day in the early fall, dad was out in the fields and mom was at work helping the blacksmith. I was at home watching over my siblings when the alarms went off. Before I could react, bandits were wreaking havoc on the town, killing the men and violating the women. I watched my father kill my own mother before being killed himself. My siblings tried running but were cut down where they stood. For whatever reason I was the only one left alive. After everything I saw, they merely tied me up and took me to their camp. Four years I was kept there, forced to train to be a little spar target for them. But one day, they messed up. Oh they messed up. They threw me into the cage they were keeping me after a particularly long day of sparring, but they forgot to lock the cage that night. So I did the thing I could finally do after all that time. I cut their throats as they slept, and ran into the forest, hoping to run into a grimm strong enough to kill me. But much to my luck, I found a huntsman sent to deal with the bandits himself. He found me and took me into Vale where he trained me to be stronger. He kind of pushed me to become a huntsman so I could prevent situations like mine from happening to others."
Scarlett: "Gods, I had no idea Nova."
Topaz: "The same thing we told Scarlett, Nova. We are here for you always."
Nova: "Thanks guys. It means a lot. And thank you for not letting me give up after the fall Scarlett. I thought losing my legs would be the end of my career, the end of my goals. That the whole reason for me continuing to live was that goal of protecting those that couldn't protect themselves."
