Gon Hypocrisy

Marked by the Ruthless Princess

In her previous life, Lina Riley harbored an unrequited love for the Fifth Princess, Victoria Ashwood. Lina sacrificed everything for her—securing her place on the throne, protecting her borders, and losing her arm and sight in the process. Yet, her loyalty was repaid with a goblet of poisoned wine and the execution of her entire family. Victoria despised her, accusing Lina of cruelty and of orchestrating her elder sister’s death, deeming her unworthy of love. When the poison took effect, Lina closed her eyes in despair, only to awaken back in the moment they first met. On that fateful day, Lina had stumbled upon Victoria being beaten by palace maids, an encounter that set everything in motion. This time, Lina turned away, choosing a different path, but a faint fragrance of plum blossoms lured her in. One reckless night led to a moment of despair when she awoke to find the coldly beautiful face of her bedmate—Lucille Everard, the Princess Regent. Lucille, while outwardly uninterested in court affairs, was notorious for her swift and decisive actions that had seen emperors replaced with alarming frequency. Compared to Lucille’s power, Lina’s past dealings with Victoria seemed like mere child's play. As Lucille stirred awake, Lina's nerves were frayed. “Given the circumstances, Your Highness, what do you think of me now?” she asked, resigned to her fate. To her surprise, Lucille chuckled softly. “I think you’re wonderful.” Stunned, Lina could only manage a confused “Huh?” From that moment, everything veered off course. Lucille's palace soon bloomed with roses—Lina’s favorite. Amidst the swaying blossoms, the resolute Princess Regent would gently take Lina’s hand, her once-frigid gaze warm and tender. “My dear Lina, you are the finest woman in the world.” In her new life, Lina often dreamed. She dreamt of someone leaving a bouquet of roses at her grave, their robes trailing the light fragrance of plum blossoms. They sipped wine with a wry smile, murmuring, “Silly girl, I avenged you.” Victoria Ashwood was reborn too. She hadn’t expected that killing Lina would provoke her aunt’s ruthless revenge. Determined to avoid a similar fate, she resolved to feign affection for Lina, even if it took a lifetime. At a palace banquet, Victoria was taken aback by Lina’s beauty. Draped in fine silks, Lina was a dazzling sight, so different from the weathered woman Victoria remembered. Drawn to her, Victoria was about to approach when she noticed Lucille at Lina’s side, gently wiping her lips with a soft smile. “Take it slow,” Lucille murmured. Lina paused, then chuckled as she adjusted a strand of Lucille’s hair. Victoria’s heart twisted in fury. When her desperate attempts to win Lina back failed, she demanded, “Why won’t you love me?” Lina sneered. “Show some respect, Fifth Princess. You should address me as Aunt. Besides, your hypocrisy and cold-heartedness make you unworthy of love.” Years ago, a young Lucille Everard encountered a lost girl in the palace gardens. The girl declared that Lucille was beautiful and promised to marry her one day. Thirteen years later, a fateful misunderstanding during a bout of poisoning entwined their paths. What began as teasing quickly turned Lucille from a hunter into prey, helplessly ensnared by the woman she never forgot. Tags: 1. Chains of Despair

Annabeth, 23, known far and wide as The Mistress of Despair, has a well-earned reputation for ruthlessness, ambition, and a flair for theatrics. But even she isn't prepared when a strange, infuriatingly powerful boy suddenly appears in her home and—without so much as a dramatic monologue—utterly crushes her. Death is supposed to be the end, but not for Annabeth. Instead, she’s yanked back to her first breath, forced to relive her cursed life from the very beginning. Her mother? Mysteriously dead during childbirth. Her father? Poisoned by a scheming wife before Annabeth even loses her baby teeth. The only constants in her life are her overpowered, possibly psychopathic uncle and the haunting certainty of her own downfall. Rather than reflect, repent, or pursue a quiet life, Annabeth decides on a simpler solution: become even more terrifying. After all, absolute power should be enough to defeat anyone, even the mysterious man who keeps showing up to kill her. Right? Right? Every plan, every spell, every life leads to the same humiliating conclusion: defeat, rebirth, repeat. It’s enough to give even The Mistress of Despair an existential crisis. When a runaway slave crosses her path, offering her a glimpse of happiness and hope, Annabeth begins to wonder if redemption—or even escape—is possible. But her past isn't done with her, and every rebirth tightens the chains that bind her to an unending cycle of torment. Can Annabeth break free, or is she doomed to be the architect of her own misery forever? ************************************************************************************* "If you’re going to make an entrance, make it unforgettable." "And if you can’t manage unforgettable, at least go for dramatic." ************************************************************************************* Given her past, Annabeth calling someone else a witch—or worse, a b*tch—was laughably hypocritical. But honestly, what's a little hypocrisy from someone who once killed children just to avoid the inconvenience of them growing up and seeking revenge for their dead parents? ************************************************************************************* "I’m a skinny guy—I can’t handle the big chunks you’re talking about. Why don’t you take them since, you know, you’re already halfway to turning into a boulder?" the skinny man smirked. "Watch it, Ollie! I was just trying to be generous since you look like a strong breeze might finish you off!" Lord Brodie shot back, his face reddening under his double chin. ************************************************************************************* "Look, I’m not saying it’s okay to fall apart. But it happens. It happens to everyone. What matters in the end is what you do with the pieces. No matter how many times you shatter, I’ll pick up every single shard." "Even if it tears me apart to see you hurting, I’ll still put you back together. And even if I have to hold you together with my own two hands, I’ll make sure you stand whole again." ************************************************************************************* Don't forget to add the book to your collections so that you may see updated chapters when I upload them. P.S.: Feedback, comments, reviews and gifts are welcome. P.P.S: Power stones are welcome too. P.P.P.S? (Really?): Especially power stones. :P P.P.P.P.S (I swear it's the last one): If you're a beginner writer too, comment the title of your book so that I can provide a review and some feedback. Maybe even a shiny new Power Stone...

Akashic Chronicles: Paradise Lost

"Attachments are unneeded" It was both the first and last thing my old man told me. To be an effective killer you must not feel for the enemy. To be an effective mercenary you must not feel remorse. A contract is a contract. The Client is god for us. To us the value of money is more important than ideals. Hope won't feed you. Sometimes those very same ideals could poison your entire being. Possess you into something more than what you aimed to be. Embrace nothingness, Coin is God. That was the mantra of every mercenary. That was what I believed for so long, until I met her. She pulled me out of that murky swamp. Shining an inexhaustible light, creating a solid path we could tread on to. She was the reason I could keep on moving forwards. The only reason I gave a damn about anything. However, soon enough, like all roads, it soon crumbled into rubble, nothing but relics of bygone memories remained. Plunging me back down deeper into that black and murky waters once more. I reveled in it. I let it consume me, become the very thing we swore to destroy. The very same thing my old man told me about. A monster borne from the hypocrisy of those ideals, yet desperately clinging onto it like a mad man. This is the tale of a fool who once known love, oh so beautiful yet poisonous it consumed him. A tale of a fool who yearns for redemption yet revels in his own self hatred. A monstrosity borne not from necessity, but from anguish.

Villain's World

Welcome to Villain's World, where mercy is a forgotten language, and violence the currency of existence. Social status here is determined by one's Tier of Villainy. Though cutthroat and ruthless, Antagonia ran just fine… Until one day, portals to the Human World emerged. Hidden beneath a veil of justice and liberation, the Humans invaded their lands. Through hypocrisy and shady ploys, many Villains fell victim to these cunning Humans. The Demon Family, a once great Villain Clan, was amongst the victims. Daseos Demon, the fifth son and a child at the time, was left to fend for himself as his entire family fell to the hands of the humans. He was orphaned to the L.U.S.T Inn, a high-end brothel where the owner, Madame Allura and her courtesans became his family. This is the story of Daseos's relentless quest for revenge as he ascends the villain hierarchy. His aims are twofold: to exact vengeance for his fallen family and to safeguard Antagonia from the malevolent humans who feign justice while pillaging their lands. Join Daseos Demon as he confronts not just external adversaries, traitors but also the darker aspects of his own nature as he navigates the murky waters of a society where morals were but a joke. And of course, with the astounding death rates of this harsh environment, it only made sense that its people evolved to have turbo-charged primal urges, to survive, to destroy, to… lust. "A Villain’s World" offers a compelling narrative, filled with intricate characters, moral ambiguity, and a critique of the notions of good and evil. It is a story that uncovers the complex fabric of villainy, raising uncomfortable questions about justice, retribution, and the very nature of power.
