Ren's pov
"Perfect. Then get ready, the initiation will commence tonight!" Nigel Hawkins mockingly smirked at me as he announced that.
The whole gang cheered and after their jolly moment, everyone was led into the infamous underground bloody ring. While watching all of my men entering the bloody ring, I caught glimpse of Lyde simply staring at me. For a weak looking kid, he's really capable of fighting. Even though his first gang war was against a bunch of wimps, I hope he survive through this initiation.
Every gang that was invited here isn't just some ordinary thugs and bastards… they're all one of a kind. People who we must look out for. Though the same can be said against us, we're all crazy ruthless hooligans after all.
"Tell me. Who are we going against tonight?" I asked Nigel.
He lifts his mask off of his face and looked at me with such fierce eyes. "Just some newbies like your gang, they're promising as well."
"I see."
"But worry not. I'm placing my bet on your gang." Nigel hands over his mask to the guy with a diamond symbol on his mask, and then grabs my shoulder tightly. "I'll always place a bet on your group, all the way until your final round here." It creeped me how he smiled maliciously.
"I get it. I already promised I won't lose to other groups. You clearly know my goal here." I will never stop fighting and winning until I beat those jerks. Wild Beasts will soon take their place and become number one.
After that short conversation, I got on my way to follow my gang into the bloody ring. The area was extremely wide, a really perfect place for fights between huge groups of thugs. There were also an audience watching over the two gangs, and they all took sides on which to cheer on.
"WILD BEASTS! WILD BEASTS! WILD BEAST!…"
"CERBERUS! CERBERUS! CERBERUS!…"
So our opponent will be the Cerberus, huh?
Jin stood by my side and smirked. "I've been hearing about them. Never thought we get to clash with those bastards."
"Watch out for the lame guy that calls himself Hades. I hear he targets anyone within his reach." I warned.
"He's definitely for you to handle. Gang leaders are meant to face each other."
"I know. The person who has the most bruises treats the other free lunch tomorrow."
"Really?! You even want to make a bet like that in this situation!?" I laughed at Jin's reaction.
"Why not? It makes things way more fun and interesting—"
Finally, the time has come. "—WELCOME TO THE NIGHT OF THE BLOODY RING! TONIGHT WILL SERVE AS AN INITIATION TO THE WINNER OF THIS GANG WAR! ON THE LEFT, WE HAVE THE VICIOUS AND FEARSOME, CERBERUS!!!" The emcee announced.
And it seems that half of the audience cheered for Cerberus.
Lexi got upset by that and yelled. "I'll make those idiots regret taking their side!!"
"AND ON THE RIGHT! WE HAVE THE FURIOUS AND SAVAGE, WILD BEASTS!!!"
As the commander of Wild Beasts, I made my way at the front to face the leader of Cerberus. And there, stands a man that I'll crush down tonight.
In the midst of it all, I noticed Hades glaring at me and mouthed something that made me laugh. "You're. Dead. Meat."
We'll see about that.
"—CERBERUS VS. WILD BEASTS!! WHO WILL CONQUER WHO!? LET THE CLASH BEGIN!!!"
They rang a loud horn as a signal to start the gang war.
"KILL THEM ALL!!" I yelled.
And there, our group has collided.
"I've heard a lot about you, Ren. Such ashame that I'll have to end you and your whole gang right here, right now!" Hades said as he approached me. For a loser, he's full of arrogance.
"I hope you're not all talk!" I took the first move and aimed to hit him with a one knock killer.
Hades was fast enough to dodge it and took the opportunity to get a hold of my wrist and striked my face with his knee. Well that was impressive. "Hah! Are you kidding me?! Is this really the leader of the Wild Beasts!? Pathetic!"
"Quit the insults, asshole. We're just getting started!" I pulled back but took another hit on the left arm from him. He didn't give me any chance to be on defensive and keeps on taking every opportunity to attack me repeatedly. "Shit!"
"Give it up, Ren! Save yourself from humiliation while it's still early."
"Stop assuming that it's your win!" When I got the chance to grab his fist, I redirected his landing on the ground and stepped on his back. "Would you look at this! Who looks humiliating now?!" I laughed loudly. It really feels nice to get back at these kind of jerks.
"You fucker!—ACK!" I kicked his side and increased the weight of my foot that's stepping on him. "Hey loser, can't get up? I can't believe you're going to lose like this!—OOF." I didn't expect it, but I fell down when he grabbed and pull my other foot.
"YOU COCKY SON OF A BITCH!" The asshole grabs a random guy and threw it at me. Luckily, I avoided the guy by punching him away from me.
"YOU LAME MOTHERFUCKER!" That fucktard... pisses me off.
