Chapter 36 - The Switch, Part 2

We prepared ourselves for this, however, I feel uncomfortable seeing a reflection exactly like mine but without a mirror… no, the person I'm seeing infront of me is an entirely different being. We have the same face but how the hell can he be much more prettier than me!?

"Ugh. Stop staring at me, I feel so vulnerable in this outfit." Lyde pulled down the skirt to hide his legs that was skinnier than mine. Earlier it was full of leg hair, but we had to shave it and got some good results… disturbingly good results.

"Tch, whatever. You memorized how I apply my own make up by now?" I asked. He better remember all those hours I spent on teaching him.

"Y-Yeah, I do. What about you, huh? Do you still remember how I'm supposed to act at school?!"

"Of course. I just act like you always do."

"And how do I always act then?"

"Dumb and stupid."

"NO! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE COOL AND AWESOME! Damn, I feel you can never pull it off." My eyes rolled at the fool. From the stories I heard from Ace, Lyde was pretty idiotic and clumsy. Even though I'm just pretending to be him, I won't make a fool of myself and just act like myself.

"We're running late, we should go now." I told him as I looked at my watch.

"Hey! We can't go to school if you're going to make me look foolish—"

"Quit complaining! We shouldn't be late for class!"

Both of us got into feet, and before we could step outside the house, gramps bid us goodbye. I was a bit worried he might notice we switched identities, but I'm glad he was confused as always. Lyde and I parted ways since we both go to different schools, and I feel a bit nervous about it.

No one will notice, right?

When I made it to Lyde's school, there were already a lot of students coming inside the campus. And just when I'm about to step in, someone tapped on my shoulder. "Lyde, my man! Let's see if we're in the same class again."

"Oh. it's just you, Ace." Will he notice? I'm feeling way more nervous right now.

"About Ian, he told me he'll be a bit late coming to our school. I guess he still has a lot of documents to tend to."

"I see…" I guess he's pretty dense to notice. He did say it was hard to tell which is which between me and Lyde. Though it's a good thing. This way my cover won't get noticed.

While we were making our way to the wall of sections, I can see some of the students trying to avoid me. They all look afraid like they're seeing a monster passing by. D-Don't tell me… do they know about me being a part of a gang?!

"Ace!" I yelled in whisper. "What's up with those people? Why are they looking at me like that?"

"Eh? I thought you were expecting this. Ever since you got your sister to take care of Keto, the rumors spread very quick. I also heard you got welcomed by Wild Beasts, but that's probably your sister, am I right?"

"Y-Yeah… you're very right about that." With that being mentioned, I'm probably not going to live a peaceful life in this school. I gotta find a way to get out of the gang soon. "Cool! I found our names, Lyde! Ian's name is there too!"

"That's great!—"

"But it's a bummer that our class doesn't have any girls again. It's sickening how our class is full of dumb and sweaty dudes."

"What... WHAT!?"

"Oh, are you 'that' upset with having no girls again?"

"E-Err..." no, that's not it. Lyde never told me about it. His class doesn't have girls!? A class full of boys is no different in being at an all boy's school, that'll be a really uncomfortable class for me.

"Ohh. Nay's also with us this semester. Though I hope he doesn't ignore us anymore. I kinda miss hanging out with him."

"Nay?" Who's Nay?

"Yeah. Let's talk to him later. We should go to our classroom now, let's go!"

While walking at the hallways, it felt really uncomfortable with all the eyes staring at me. I can see that Ace wasn't okay with this either but he chose to ignore it for my sake. And when we were already infront of our classroom, we both felt exhausted from enduring the unwanted attention. "Dude, just walking by your side feels like a crime. Has delinquents always been treated that way?"

"I really thought one of them were going to beat me up! I don't like this!" I cried out. But knowing my situation, bullies and other delinquents in this school will definitely come and mess with me. And other students will look at me like I'm some garbage becaude I'm marked as a delinquent now. Damn it, Lyde is supposed to suffer from this right now, not me!

But things got even worse for me when I stepped inside the classroom...
