"It's Lyde! He's here!"
"Maybe the rumors were fake."
"Somebody should beat him!"
"I don't think he's even that strong."
Most of my classmates were already setting their sharp glaring eyes at me. Something like this should happen, I'm labeled as a delinquent now. And some of these guys will surely try to test out my strength since they're not fully convinced.
"W-We should get to our seats now." Ace whispered. But before we can even take another step, one of them stood infront of me. The guy chuckled while cracking his fingers like he's trying to intimidate me.
"Lyde, I hear you're part of a gang now…" he said.
I glanced at Ace behind me and he looks really worried. He mouthed words like we should run away, but I don't plan on running. I don't want to miss my first class. I'm actually a punctual student and skipping isn't my thing.
"Yeah. I am. Can I go to my seat now?" I politely asked.
It's really unfortunate how my reputation is ruined and people see me as garbage now because I'm a so-called delinquent. And it'll be a pain if this ever happens again.
"Got so arrogant now that you're in a gang, huh? What did a wimp like you do to get in a gang? I bet you licked their feet and wag your tail like a dog at those gangsters." A lot have laughed at what this jerk said. And I can see that there were so many people who looks down on me… especially Lyde.
Though I can't blame them. He's actually pathetic in every single way. He drags himself into trouble. He relies on his younger sister to take care of his mess. He's stupid and selfish to make me suffer the things he's supposed to suffer from. And I… I'm stupid as well. I can't ignore my crying brother when he's just so helpless and pathetic.
"…I got no time for a nobody like you." That was the only thing I can say back at him. The whole class went silent until Ace and I got into our seats. They resumed to talk badly about me and I can guess that they're already plotting to do something horrible to me once class is over.
"Dude, that was cool of you! Where did you get all that confidence? But don't get too carried away, you're not like your awesome sister." Right, Ace doesn't know that it's me.
As soon as the class started, everything was a riot in this class. It was full of wild boys after all but can't they show a little decency and respect to the teacher? Though it's already common knowledge that this section is full of dumb idiots, so it's no wonder that things are like this. It's ashame that my brother is one of these people.
"Hey Lyde. I've been thinking, shouldn't we approach Nay by now? Let's tell him about Ian and Jeiro." Said Ace. It's already break time and we're heading for the cafeteria. I hope they have some sweets there, I could eat one right now since I'm drained from enduring all the unwanted attention earlier.
"Nay?..." I can't remember this Nay guy. I'm sure he was mentioned to me before, but I just can't recall who the heck he is. Though it's obvious that he's a friend of Lyde and Ace, I just don't know how to deal with him. "...w-we should just let him be."
"Eh. Are you serious? Didn't you tell me that you wanted to bring the four of us all together again?" That's something Lyde would definitely say. I shouldn't have said to let him be.
"N-No. I mean we should let him be... until Ian comes back."
"..." Is he suspicious of me? Did he notice!?
"Erm..." come on Ace, say something!
"...that's actually a brilliant idea! You've become a little smarter Lyde!" I know I should act offended by now, but he meant it for Lyde, not me. And it's quite sad to learn that even Ace thinks that Lyde is dumb as heck. How pitiful.
"Yeah... well, whatever." I'm just glad that Ace is dumb enough not to notice that I'm a fake Lyde. I kind of wonder if I'm doing it right... no, I'm probably better than what Lyde is. Though it's bugging me when I wonder about how Lyde is doing while pretending to be me.
...he better not fuck up.
"Ooh. I can see that you're on your way to the cafeteria." Wait... that voice! Shit!
"L-Lyde! I-It's, I-It's him!!" Ace tugged on my sleeves while hiding behind my back. The man we both fear slowly approached us with such evil grin, and behind him are probably a bunch of lackeys like me. "He's coming our way, Lyde! The lone wolf of the Wild Beasts!..."
I sighed upon this very moment. I saw this coming, and I'm prepared to handle this. As he stood infront of me while wearing a fierce look, I just smiled politely to greet him like I always do. "Hey there, boss Keto."
