Lynn's pov
Even though the phone I got from Lyde and Ace was brand new, I'm not greatly engaged to it anymore. It's just that I'm expecting a call from Keto since he said we'll be tailing a few people from the Bloody Reapers that was intruding the Beasts territory.
Though it really makes me wonder how they even claim they own a certain area as their territory. This gang stuff is really stupid, those thugs are literally wasting their lives like this. And to think that I have to join a gang war just because some of the delinquents from Exitium messed with a few of our members, can't they just settle it peacefully?
"…sis?" Lyde called as he peaked inside my room.
"Mannerless dumbass, you should knock first before barging in my room."
"Eek!" He closes the door and knocks just like I said. I couldn't believe how stupid he's acting right now. My palm met my face before I decided to let him in. "Tch, come in."
"Umm, I wanted to tell you something."
"I have something I'd like to say as well, but you go ahead first."
"Okay. About the time you defeated Jeiro, I contacted my friend Ian."
I hung my head in wonder. "Ian? Who's that?"
"My friend who's been bullied by Jeiro!" He smiled, making me expect some good news. "When I told Ian about what Jeiro, he seemed really amazed. He said he wants to thank you personally for beating up Jeiro for his sake."
"Eh?! Why didn't you tell him that 'you' were the one who beaten up Jeiro."
"Ahh, I think I can't really take that credit. You were the one who did all the hardwork so I though I should tell him the truth, but I also told him to keep it a secret because I know you wouldn't like people spreading about how strong you are." Yeah. I hate people knowing I have this kind of strength for a girl, it's not just feminine.
"M'kay, that's cool."
"He's also considering if he'll transfer for this coming semester, though I kinda wish he won't transfer anymore. It would be nice if we all graduate together in highschool." Although my brother is a pretty weak coward, I feel proud of him being kind and caring for his friends. "So what did you wanted to tell me, Lynn?"
I sighed when I have to bring it up. Just the tiniest thought of delinquency frustates me. "It's the Wild Beasts. I just joined their gang recently, and it was unfortunate how they're going to war with another gang called Exitiums next week."
"…Exitiums!?" Lyde is really shocked to hear about it. Wait, does he know something?
"What? Is there something wrong?"
"That group is bad news sis." He said with a grave look on his face. "Especially their leader, Elijah. Many calls him 'The Doom Bringer' because he brought down a lot of enemies alone with one hit. He's strength is in spar with Ren, the Beasts leader. You gotta avoid him at all cost, Lynn! You'll die if you face him."
"G-Got it, I won't let him kill nor beat me." I assured my brother with a thumbs up. Crap, this makes me more nervous about the gang war now. Maybe I should just run away when the fight starts and hide until they're all done and beaten.
While my thoughts were on the middle of scheming for the gang war, I finally received the message from Keto that really surprised the hell out of me. "Who's that?" Lyde curiously asks.
"It's Keto." As much as I want to ignore this, Keto will surely come and find me. Worst thing that might even happen is that they might mistake my brother as me and bring him to the hospital again. "I guess I'll have to go now."
After Lyde got to bid good bye, I quickly left the house so I wouldn't be late. Making Keto late might get me punched on the face or head again.
"I'm here!" I yelled as I arrived at our meeting place, I was quite breathless from running all the way here. I should've brought my bicycle though I don't want to let some thugs put a scratch on it. "Hey Lyde." Ash first greeted. Keto on the other hand is in deep thoughts so he probably didn't notice me.
"H-Hey. Um, so what are we supposed to do now?"
Ash gestured I stand by his side and spoke with me quietly. "I think you know we're supposed to investigate with the reapers lingering around our place."
"Uh-huh. Did you guys find anything?"
"We did." He answered smirking. "Turns out there's a member of our gang violating our rules."
"And what did he…"
The grin on his face slowly fades away. "The fucker's associating with some of those bastards from Reapers. We're still not sure what he's exactly doing but—"
"This is my first order, Lyde. Find out what that mother fucker's up to and report to us immediately." Keto cuts off Ash just to say that to me seriously. It made me gulp seeing him being terrifying as always. "You think you can do it?"
I still perfectly remembers that he doesn't accept 'no' for an answer, so obviously… "Yes! I'll do it." Can't he be any less scarier when ordering me around?
"Good. Don't fail on me, or else." He threateningly cracks his knuckles.
Damn it! Here we go again…
