"I thought I'll never see you again." I could say I thought the same but who knows what this delinquent with glasses might do. "So what are you up to in this district?"
"O-Oh, I was going to take a look around and search for some cheap boutiques." I didn't like how his face suddenly changed expressions, as if he thought of a great idea.
"I can show you around! I know this place well."
"Thanks but—" Cain grabs my hand and gestured I follow him. I sighed at the back of my mind, I guess I can't have this day all to myself. "Come on, Lynn! I'll be your tour guide."
"Geez, fine."
Now that I'm stuck with Cain, I'll see what I can do to make the most out of it. But first… "Uhm, Cain."
"Yeah?" He looks back at me like he it doesn't bother him.
"Could you let go?"
"Huh?"
I raised my hand that he's holding. "You don't have to worry about me running away, so could you please let go of my hand?"
"Ah! My bad, my bad." He let goes of my hand the instant he realized it. Cain laughs nervously and shakes his head. "Sorry, I just get carried away too easily."
"It's fine. I can get carried away like this too. Let's keep the tour going while we chat."
"Oh sure."
"So what about you? What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Well, I have a part-time job here. I was actually on my way home right now, but meeting you here changes everything." So he has a job here? But that's weird, a job that dismiss its employees during morning. W-Wait!! Could it be!?
"Oi, oi, oi. What kind of place are you working at? It's still early in the morning and you get to leave already?" How suspicious! Very suspicious!
"Ehh, you think I work at a night clubs or something?"
"Yeah. What else can explain why you're leaving work so early."
He chuckles and pats my head. "Alright, I do work at a place similar to that." I knew it!
"T-Then…" Cain must be a host and had a lot of experience with women, but isn't he underage?! Anyway, that's terrible! This guy is definitely someone I shouldn't hang out with!!
"But if you're thinking that I'm some kind of host and had a lot of experience with women, then you're very wrong with that." WHAT!? Did he read my mind!?
"N-No! I wasn't thinking of you like that."
"Hehe, if you're pinocchio your nose would be growing long right now."
"Then what's your actual job like? I'm just curious." I said with all honesty.
"Mmm, you sure you're just curious about me? Or are you trying to know me better because you like me?" What the hell.
"Don't be so full of yourself. Just because you have good looks doesn't mean every girl likes you!"
"Aw man, you've got a talent for dragging down a man's self-esteem. I was only kidding by the way." He chuckles.
"Those kind of words doesn't seem to affect the likes of you that much though." I know this kind of guys well, a scumbag that toys with girls hearts and throws them away when they get bored of it. Not that I'm letting him to make me one of his victims.
"You're so mean! I already told you that I'm not that kind of person, you know? I'm not some playboy or casanova."
"Whatever, not that it matters anyway. Just be a proper tour guide, will 'ya?" Guys are so defensive when it comes to the truth. Oh well, it would be great if he leaves me alone soon.
"Fine, fine. Let's go." Damn he's so persistent.
And so my afternoon was well spent with Cain. Though hanging out with him got me to realize that he's not that bad at all. He really knows a lot of good stores and even brought me to this bakery that has some fine quality cakes.
"Hey! Check this out." He called. We were checking out some stuff in this shop I drag him into. "What is it?" And as I came close, he waves this keychain infront of me.
"Ta dah. It's a keychain of Gemini." A zodiac huh. "What's your zodiac, Lynn?"
"I think it's Aries." I replied as I looked at the row of zodiac keychains. "Which one is it? I'm not really familiar with its symbols."
"Ohh, so you're an Aries. That's pretty interesting." When he gave me the Aries keychain, that's when it made me laugh.
"What's so funny?"
"Are you sure you're a bad guy that you claim to be? You wear glasses like a nerd, you like flowers, and then zodiacs. You may have a tattoo but that doesn't make you a bad guy, you actually look cool and nice. It's kind of hard to believe that you said you were a bad guy when we first met." I told him.
Cain seemed surprised with everything I said, he eventually smiles and pats my head. "I know. And I prefer you know me in this kind of way. Most people say I'm just too scary to be with. So it feels really nice to have someone I can casually talk to without them having to fear who I am."
"Who are you exactly anyway?" I asked.
"I'm just some guy who like flowers and astrology. If you want to know more, then be my friend." He said, reaching out his hand for a handshake. What a weird guy.
"Geez, fine." I said, shaking hand with him. It's not so bad to know more about Cain, he's a nice guy after all.
When the day hits dawn, Cain finally decides to walk me to the nearest waiting shed and waits for a cab with me. "Today was fun."
"Yeah, it was." I glanced at him and saw how he gazed at the streets as if he was in deep thoughts. Somehow, he looked sad. "Will there be a next time?"
I gave him a light punch on the arm. "Yeah. We're already friends, aren't we?" I sneaked out a small piece of paper from my bag and started writing without him knowing.
"Oh, there's a cab now." He pointed as a car stops infront of us. I gave him the piece of paper and got on the cab. "What's this?!" He simultaneously looks at the paper and then at me, looking clueless to what the paper is about. I'll just let him think hard what was written on it.
"I'm free during the weekends, let's hang out again soon!" That was the last thing I told him after the cab started moving away. Today wasn't so bad.
