Lynn's pov
I'm not nervous.
I'm not nervous.
I'm not nervous—why is it so hard to convince myself that I'm not nervous?
As we arrived at some empty unfinished site, there were already a lot of people waiting there. They must be the Exitiums. I took a deep breath before getting off of Ren's bike, but my hands can't stop shaking. This is my first time getting involve in big fights, I won't die right?
"…hey." Someone grabbed my shoulder and peaked at my face. "So it 'is' you."
"Keto!" Seeing his horrifying face almost gave me a heart attack.
"You came back."
"Y-Yeah, I just changed into our uniform."
Unexpectedly, he smiles and pats me on the back. "That's good. Don't ever think of leaving the gang unless I tell you so. Got that?"
It must have made him upset when I disappeared without a word earlier. "Y-Yes, sir!"
"—YOU'RE OUTNUMBERED! YOU DON'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST EXITIUMS!" That sudden yell caught my attention. And it did made me realize that our gang was small compared to the Exitiums.
"W-W-We're doomed!" I hate to say this, but I think I caught Lyde's contagious pessimism. Though it's reasonable to think that way because this was an unfair battle.
Exitiums might win.
"Be a little more faithful, who do you think your allies are?" Keto told me.
"But!—"
"SHOW NO MERCY, WILD BEASTS!!!" Shit.
And with our commander declaring to start the battle, both sides have clashed. The place has been filled with delinquents, beating down one another. So this is what they call a gang war, it's like the definition of chaos itself.
"Hey, wimp!" Just as I tried to step back from this mess until some bastard from the Exitiums tries to land a punch on my face. Luckily, I stopped his fist from reaching my face just in time. I returned him the favor that brought him down. Then the next thing I knew, I was already beating down one after another.
"WHY DO THEY KEEP ATTACKING ME!?" I complained after beating down my thirteenth victim.
"Well, it's a thing for thugs to go for the weak looking ones first. Though I think you're being underestimated too much." A fellow member told me.
Do I really look that weak!?
Another one jumped behind me and looked so confident as he tried to intimidate me. "You're dead, little runt!" It didn't really scared me, rather, it ticks me off.
"OH SHUT UP!" I grabbed him on the shirt and got his face landing on the ground, and another body was added to the pile of guys I beaten.
I might have overestimated these punks.

Keto's pov
Lyde got me impressed as he managed to make a mountain of bodies. He's pretty strong for a new member, he probably have the strength ranking under Ash.
"I thought I'll never see you here, Keto." The bastard Nolan greeted.
"You got some nerve to show yourself infront of me."
"Of course. I'd like to see my prey suffer." He must be thinking that he can beat me because his dirty stunt got me weaker. I smirked at the asshole, he's definitely wrong if he's thinking like that.
"You're prey!? Let's see who's the real prey here!"
This bastard is nothing but arrogance and dirty tricks. So I'm pretty sure this one will be too easy. "Don't go crying when you fall again for the second time!"
"Tch." As I dashed towards him, he barely managed to block my fist witj the pole he used to hit me earlier. I almost laughed at his surprised face. "Y-You!—"
"Tell me, who do you think is the prey between us?"
"This can't be! You were good as dead earlier!!" He pulled back his pole and attempted to hit me with it. I got to block his lame attack with one hand and steal his pole from him to throw it away.
"That was just a scratch you weak little fuck!" I pulled on his hair and striked my knee on his face. But since that wasn't enough, I hooked my arm on his neck before he could fall. "Who's the prey now, huh!? Cat got your tongue you little fucker!"
"I-I'm s-sorr—a-ahh!" I choked him unconscious and left him as he is on the floor.
"The leader of Exitiums must be a complete idiot for putting someone weak like that guy as one of their commanders." I shook my head and continued to beat more of them. But everything about this gang war was pretty boring, most of them were so weak!
When I got to pile some bodies for myself, I yelled at Lyde. "Hey! What's your body count over there?!"
He looks back at me with a very exhausted expression on his face. "I-I don't know, twenty-three? Twenty-five?"
"Mine's thirty-one! Better luck next time!" Lmao, I guess I'm still unbeatable.
