Jackson Drake
I can feel that someone is shaking my body to wake me but I do not want to wake up yet. My mind is telling me to get up but my body refuses to do so. I heard a familiar voice which finally awakened me but my eyes remained tightly closed. I do not want to wake up yet, I need more sleep. Maybe, if I will ignore him, he will just leave and let me sleep again.
"Master, I don't want to disturb your sleep but if you won't get up now, you'll be late for your first period class." Dave uttered as he shook my body.
He tugged the blanket away from my body and I quickly pulled it back. He tried to tug it again so I pulled my sleep mask down and then I opened my right eye. I quickly slapped his hand and he immediately released his grip on the blanket.
"Go away, Dave and let me sleep." I grumbled as I put the sleep mask back on, and then I heard him sigh.
"But Master, you really need to get up now or else you'll be late for your class." Dave spoke out.
Dave is my personal assistant and he could be so stubborn sometimes but then, he will surely surrender any moment. I knew that he just wants all the best for me but I am just so damn tired because of what happened last night, and I do not want to talk about it. Heck, I do not even want to remember it!
"You've been absent on this class for a couple of days already. If your professor will drop you out of his class, your parents will surely kill me." He added as he shook my body again.
"Dave, no one can just kick me out of any class. I have Auntie Mariam on my side who is the president of the university. Besides, I'm friends with the next president, so what's there to worry about huh?" I stated as I snugged further on my bed.
"But Master-" I cut him off.
"I'll just attend the next class. Let me just skip this one so I can sleep a little more. I need more sleep." I said as waved my hand at him dismissively.
"But Master, you have to get up now." He replied as he tried to tug the blanket again.
"Besides, your breakfast is ready." He added and I just pulled the blanket closer to me and then I held it tightly.
I pressed my lips together as I covered my left ear with a pillow. I covered my head with the blanket as well and I tried my best to ignore Dave who has been bugging me to get up.
"Master, you need to get up now. Come on." He said but I did not reply.
"Master."
"Come on, get up now."
"Master, I won't stop pestering you until you leave your bed."
"Master, please, get up."
"Master-"
"Dave, can't you just shut up?!" I growled as I scratched my head in dismay.
I am trying my best to calm myself but he is just so stubborn and he is getting into my nerves. How can he be this annoying?! When will he stop pestering me?!
"Master, come on-"
"Dave, you'll stop on your own or you want my fist to stop your mouth instead?" I questioned as I raised my fist.
"You're gonna be the death of me." He said as he shook his head and I just smirked at him.
See? I will never lose to him.
"Would you like your breakfast to be served here or you'll just go downstairs to eat?" He asked.
"Neither, I'll just eat at the cafeteria." I replied.
"Call me if you need anything." He said.
"Dave, just leave already!" I yelled.
Dave let out a sigh and then I heard his footsteps slowly fading until I can't hear them anymore. Finally!
I am still sleepy so I closed my eyes and tried to get some sleep but then, I failed. Damn it! If he had not woken me up, I would have been sleeping soundly until now, but I can't do anything about it anymore. I guess, I will just get up and prepare myself for my morning classes.
"Damn it!" I grunted as I punched the pillow beside me.
I quickly got up from my bed and went in the bathroom to do my morning routine. I brushed my teeth and took a bath, and then I went out of the bathroom. After that, I dressed into a white shirt and black pants that I took out from my walk-in closet earlier and then, I styled my hair and put on my black leather boots. I grabbed my phone and wallet on top of my nightstand and wore my black leather jacket and then I left my bedroom. I ran down the stairs as I jiggled my car's key.
"Master, let me drive you to the university." Dave said and I scowled at him.
"How old do you think I am, Dave? Six?" I asked mockingly as I tsk-tsked.
"No, I-" I cut him off.
"Seriously, Dave. I can drive, there's nothing to worry about. I'll call you when I need your help." I stated and let out a sigh before nodding.
"Master, don't you want to eat your breakfast first?" Mr. Suarez, our family's butler asked.
"No. I have to go now." I replied before striding towards the door and I stopped for a moment to ask Mr. Suarez about the arrival of mom and my sister.
"When are they coming back?" I asked.
"Next week, master." Mr. Suarez replied and I nodded before leaving the house.
I quickly got into my car and drove away. After about half an hour, I reached the university. I parked my car and got out of it. I stopped for a moment to look at the surroundings. There aren't much students loitering. I guess, the first period classes have started.
I took out my phone from my pocket and checked the time. It is fifteen minutes past eight. Our class has surely started and I have no desire or enthusiasm to attend it. The subject is quite boring, especially the professor. I would rather stay in the cafeteria alone or with my friends than to stay in that tedious class. I walked towards the cafeteria and went in our table. My friends are already seated on their respective chairs so I sat on mine and joined them.
"I'm glad you're finally here, Drake." Ace piped up and I smirked at him.
"What took you so long to get here?" Dane asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I bet, he enjoyed himself last night as much as we do. Did you get tired of laughing your ass out?" Ace uttered playfully as he winked at me.
"Oh poor Louella! I bet, she'll leave the university in no time." Dane stated as he chuckled.
"He won't make her leave yet because he wants to play with her for a while. Right, Drake?" Ace questioned as he wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Oh man! This will surely be fun!" Dane exclaimed as he clapped.
"I can't wait to watch the video. Do you have it now, Drake? Come on, let's watch it together!" Ace exclaimed as he tapped my shoulder and I just scowled at them without answering.
"I can't wait to watch it!" Dane piped up as he winked at me and I just made a grimace.
"Oh! What's with that look Drake? Did you-" I cut Dane off.
"Shut the fuck up!" I snarled at them as I made a grimace.
"Come on, dude. Don't you want to laugh with us?" Ace asked playfully and I glared at him.
"Shut up, Ace!" I grunted.
"Then, just tell us what happened last night." Dane said and I glared at him too.
"I said, shut the fuck up!" I snarled at them.
I am trying my best to calm myself down because I badly want to punch them right on their faces but I fought the urge to do that. My reaction clearly states that I failed. Can't they see that? Did they left their common sense at home?! I can't just admit to them that I failed because they will surely make fun of me. Damn it!
"Did you see my squeaky-clean car?" Ace asked suddenly and I turned my head to see him.
"Yeah, what's so special about that huh?" I asked surly as I scowled at Ace.
"Well, thanks to Louella's friend. I never thought that he's good at cleaning things. Next time, I'll let him clean the house so I can give the housemaids an extra day-off." Ace stated as he wiggled his eyebrow at me.
"Well, let's swim at our pool later and see how clean it is." Dane added as he smirked at Ace.
So all along, I was the only one who failed in making their lives miserable? They clearly benefited from Louella's friends and I haven't gained anything from her yet. Heck, I even hailed a taxi for her last night! This is not right, I should do something. She can't stay in this university anymore. She has to leave and I will make her leave now.
