An adorma bird is a toxic mutant creation originating from way back in the past, it has been mistaken as a majestic Phoenix due to its crimson feathers that seemingly flare in the dark. But contrary to a phoenix, this bird is a sly creature that chips on someone's memories and mess with people's head for entertainment. Most experts call it an "insult" to birds.
These Adormas usually nests in peculiar places and are hardly seen by humans. People who have met these birds are now dubbed as "mentally ill" due to the bird's morbid taste for fun.
The adorma bird also ranks first as the most hated mutant creature in the world records due to it's peculiar behaviour of pecking on someone's head and eating trash as food. It also has the intelligence of a drunkard who makes bad decisions.
So imagine Jace's surprise to see the infamous bird right before his eyes, and to be honest, he wanted to break it's neck and feed it to the ducks. Something about the bird made his brain say "NOPE, I hate it", However, he needed the bird's feces to cure Laurens' hypnotism.
Yes, feces, as in poop. It's a disgusting bird that hates everyone and everyone hates it too. Although it's considered as a pest, according to Mr. Renay's lecture, the Adorma bird has an awful shriek that can ward off powerful beasts, so it's not entirely useless.
"But how do I get it to poop?"
Meanwhile...
Laurens who was affected by the bird's quirk is currently experiencing his own set of problems.
His subconscious is presently somewhere else, in a dark room to be exact.
The room is small and painted in gross green, there was no furniture and Laurens was sitting in the corner facing the exit. The boy stared at the only door inside the room, it was pitch black painted with a red lily on its lower half.
Laurens felt something unsettling about the door, as if, it was calling for him but he knew better than to cave in to his desires. So, he didn't open it in fear that he'll unleash something, but what?
Suddenly, Laurens started hearing voices, he thought that he had gone crazy but one of the voices was familiar. The tone of the first voice, was deep as the ocean and mysterious as the heavens. The second voice entailed a high pitch as beautiful as a dazzling lotus flower floating in water. Now, the third voice was strange... It sounded like a bird arguing with Jace?
No wonder it was familiar to Laurens, although what's with the bird? It doesn't sound like a bird, it's more like a broken glass scraping on a tiled surface or a fork scratching on a chalkboard. It was annoying and incredibly loud!
Uncomfortable by the tune, Laurens screamed, "SHUT UP!" Towards nothing, just to see if the sound would stop, fortunately it did... But only for a couple of seconds. Even the other two voices were complaining about the hideous sound.
"Just from the sound alone, I can tell it's from that pest!" Complained the deep voice.
"Ugh! Make it stop!" Exclaimed the high pitched voice.
"I don't know how!" Replied Laurens helplessly.
The tune of the bird was getting louder and louder by the second. As Laurens was cursing the creature who's making the sound, three small lights appeared in front of him. Then the deep voice said...
"Take these three lights and leave this place, you are annoying us with that pesky adorma bird!" It shouted and then kicked Laurens out of the green room through a black hole.
As the brunette awoke, Jace was beside him holding a crimson bird which was the source of the noise. Oh how he wanted to turn the demented pigeon into fried chicken!
"Can I kill that, please?" Laurens requested as he gritted his teeth in frustration.
"No"
Much to Laurens' dismay, and also Jace's. They cannot kill the pesky Adorma bird as they need its annoying chirps to ward off powerful beasts that could possibly approach them on their way.
"What's that smell?" Laurens curiously asked as he suddenly caught a whiff of an awful stench.
Jace guiltily looked at him, "Uh, why don't we wash your hair to remove the stench."
As you may have guessed that stench is none than bird poop from the oh-so majestic adorma bird. Jace was successful in getting the bird to poop, it was actually pretty easy, too easy for his comfort.
"It's from my hair?! Jace, what the hell did you do to my hair?" Laurens asked, furious!
"I put bird poop on it to save your life, you're welcome" Smugly answered by the blonde.
"Oh, in that case, thank you. Like hell! Get this crap off of my hair!"
"Okay, hold on"
As the two are busy with whatever they're doing, a few kilometers west from them existed another forest clearing, this was the left eye of the death forest.
And on that forest glade was a small hill where three cheery girls are currently having the time of their lives laughing and giggling holding a picnic, is what I would say if this was any normal land.
No, these three girls are currently amidst a massacre of monsters having the time of their lives. The creature that they're currently fighting is called "Millennia Floraison" and they are a part of the herb monster hybrids living in the death forest of hazard. Their appearance might not be the most pleasant with their live vines and purple spotted petals but their healing ability works like a charm.
"You said that these were the herbs that you wanted?" Asked Catherine skeptically.
"Yes" replied Milliania.
"They're clearly monsters no matter how you look at it!" Exclaimed Catherine baffled.
"Ugh! I can't stand anymore, I'm too tired!" Rachel stated as she fell down on the ground.
These three girls have been fighting about 20 monsters simultaneously for half an hour now and they are winded.
"You say that, but you were a complete battle junky just a moment ago" Milliania stated raising an eyebrow.
"They don't call her she-devil for nothing" Catherine proudly smirked as if she was the one getting praised.
Milliania looked at Catherine's smug face apathetically, she kind of looked like a loyal dog. Rachel's loyal dog to be exact.
"So are these herbs enough?" Rachel asked ignoring the evident blush on her face and changing the subject.
Milliania looked at the glasses girl and replied, "Yeah, should be enough"
"Great! Cathy, will you please gather the carcasses?" Rachel requested politely.
Being the "loyal" friend that she is, Catherine replied enthusiastically. "Yes, right away!" And started stuffing the monster Herb's Carcasses inside her dimensional pouch.
Suddenly, the ground beneath the girls started shaking. The three immediately went on guard but the aftershock stopped. They were confused, Milliania thought of any possible cause for the shaking ground and could only think of two reasons.
One, a volcano is about to erupt in the island or...
"Monster stampede"
