Alchemy is a complicated power, it follows the law of equivalent exchange. You cannot make an object out of nothing, something of equal value must be exchanged in order for another to be created. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, you cannot bring someone back to life without offering you own.
It's Saturday, and Laurens decided it was a good enough day to experiment with his newly found powers. So he went to their backyard and started his research.
It was still pretty early in the morning, so it was quite, a perfect condition for meditating. The rows of limp bodies from last night's sleepover rolled around lazily on the ground, Daniel was snoring loudly and rain was swinging his arm in the air as if fighting something. He must be dreaming something interesting.
According to his friend, Catherine, from their late night chat "If you want to use your powers for the first time, don't think, just feel the flow". So that's what Laurens did, he closed his eyes and started searching for the flow.
And a few minutes later, he could feel his insides tickle. It was a strange sensation for Laurens as it was his first time feeling the 'flow' that Catherine talked about.
He could feel the strange sensation throughout his body, even the tips and corners and parts he never knew he had was tickled with some sort of invisible hair. And when he opened his eyes, everything looked so much clearer.
Laurens could see almost every speck of dust in front if him, his body felt light as a feather and he felt stronger. The way he's feeling is like getting high on drugs yet sober at the same time, it was hard to explain but it felt good.
As a gust of wind snapped Laurens out of his daze, he knew that everything in his body has changed, and not because of puberty. But because he unlocked his powers, he was now a mutant.
"Why are you up so early?" Jace yawned as he approached Laurens tiredly.
"Oh? What do we have here? Laurens, you're overflowing with energy. Did you perhaps unlock the door to being a mutant?" Jace amusingly chirped, fascinated by Laurens' current state.
"Yes indeed, my good friend. And you came at the right time, now teach me how to use my powers!" Laurens enthusiastically exclaimed, his eyes wide and his face brimming with determination.
Jace knew he could not escape his friend's clutches and go back to his awaiting bed, so he sighed helplessly and sat across Laurens with his legs crossed on the ground.
"Before using your powers, you need to control your energy first. Look at yourself, you look like a super saiyan. You need to calm down and gather your energy back to your body" Jace explains properly, to his eagerly awaiting friend.
"I see, so how do I do that?" The oblivious Laurens replied.
"Remember the flow that Catherine mentioned last night? Focus on gathering that inside your body and don't let it out"
Laurens closed his eyes once again, he calmly felt the flow surrounding him and gathered it near his navel before consuming every single one of the flow, it was pretty easy but the difficulty raised after Laurens realized that keeping all of the flow inside him was impossible.
"Try to imagine a barrier keeping all the flow inside your body, Laurens"
Jace's advice guided Laurens as he was able to successfully keep the flow from flowing out of him, Laurens felt stronger than before. The feeling of his muscles reforming and binding together was painful but it was manageable for Laurens.
"That was pretty impressive for a first timer, next is all up to your imagination. Alchemy is pretty easy to master among all of the level two abilities as long as your imagination is wide and detailed enough for the real world to copy" Jace explained.
"I think I got the gist of it" Laurens replied.
Laurens remembered that time during the sculpting competition, he was going to make a sculpture made out of dirt since it the only abundant material in his surroundings. Laurens started to imagine a beautiful figure, from the thin slender calves, to her thick seductive thighs and two bountiful buttocks. Then her slender curvy hips and another bountiful set of hills.
"Hey, why are you so early?" Rain chirped from the door, breaking Laurens' concentration.
"Oh, good morning, Daniel. We're just training'' Jace replied.
''What kind of monster is that?!'' Daniel exclaimed peeking from the glass door.
Beside Laurens was something that could only be described as a glitch sculpture of Rain's face with a body of a super model. It was Laurens' first attempt of using his power, and he broke concentration in the middle of it because of Rain's sudden entrance.
''Puhahaha! Rain is a bad supermodel!'' Daniel broke in laughter, angering Rain in the process.
''Daniel, you bastard, stop laughing! Laurens, destroy that thing!'' Rain exclaimed.
Daniel triumphantly ran while teasing Rain to his wits end, annoyed and pissed, Rain chased after Daniel all through the house. Catherine and Rachel woke up from all the broken vase and shatters that was cause by the duo.
''Oh my god! will you shut the hell up?!'' Catherine exclaimed from inside the house while chasing after the two boys with a pillow.
Jace and Laurens stared at their broken house from the backyard with an annoyed expression. When they all leave, Jace and Laurens will be cleaning their mess. Having friends over was more troublesome than expected, especially when they're hazardous friends.
''Get rid if that statue already!'' Rain shouted.
''You can't get rid of your first achievement no matter how weird of bad it is, so stop whining rain and get your ass over here!'' Catherine exclaimed enraged by the fact that Rain threw dirt on her face.
''YOU BETTER CLEAN ALL OF THIS UP IN 3 MINUTES OR I'LL MAKE TWO MORE OF THESE HIDEOUS MONSTERS WTH YOUR FACES ON IT!'' Laurens snapped.
''Yes! Right away, sir!'' everyone answered and quickly stopped to clean the place.
Yup, another normal Saturday in Hazard Island.
