After Dorian and Shiro had their talk about Ikumi, the two men started to clean the apartment and packed Shiro's few belongings. Shiro was nervous but Dorian was excited. The alpha couldn't wait until he got home with Shiro. Dorian knew he was selfish, and he probably hurt both Shiro and Finian. Still, Dorian didn't know what else to do. He couldn't pick one of them, it was simply impossible. And acknowledging that felt rather strange. Shiro had only been a part of Dorian's life for a few weeks, but he meant so much to the alpha already. It wasn't just the sex, which was truly amazing, but he really enjoyed spending time with Shiro. The conversations were fun, they shared a passionate love for music, and Dorian had this strong urge to take care of Shiro, to make him happy and keep him safe. There probably wasn't that much different from how his relationship with Finian was, except everything had gone so fast. Being a fated pair was truly an astonishing and scary thing.
When all was done, the couple left the apartment, got inside Dorian's car, and drove away. Dorian turned on the music, and they spent the entire drive listening to music. Shiro really enjoyed himself. There was no need for pointless talking. No, they felt so comfortable together that they didn't need that. They just relaxed, listened to music, and once and a while glanced at the other and smiled.
When they were in the store, Shiro felt somewhat lost, so he let Dorian guide him.
"I asked Finian to send me a photo of the room," Dorian said and showed Shiro a picture on his phone.
It was a large room with a bed, a desk, and a drawer.
"And the study can be Ikumi's room. It's by the kid's room, and it's just a bit smaller."
Shiro looked at Dorian. He was astonished. The alpha had even thought about where Shiro's daughter should stay.
"Can I buy things for her room as well?"
Dorian smiled his dazzling smile.
"Of course you can!"
They spent an hour in the store, and Dorian's excited mood had spread to Shiro. When they decided to call it a day, they had bought so many things that the purchases had to be delivered by truck.
When they were back in the car, Shiro had turned to Dorian and thanked him.
The way Dorian looked at him made Shiro feel all warm, and he blushed.
"No need to thank me, Luv. I just want you to feel at home with us ."
Shiro glanced out the windows, and when the coast was clear, he leaned towards Dorian and placed his lips on the surprised man's mouth.
"I think everything will turn out fine, as long as you're there."
Dorian heart did a thump, and he returned the kiss, slowly tasting the omegas sweet lips.
"Thank you for trusting me. After all, I've done, I'm sure I don't deserve that."
"Nobody's perfect, and we all make mistakes, and what you did was done out of fear for hurting the ones you love. How can I not forgive you?".
The words Shiro said were like medicine to Dorian's troubled conscience. And he hugged the smaller man after kissing his lips gently again.
"Let's go home."
When they parked the car outside the house, Dorian turned to Shiro, and his face was filled with stress.
"What's the matter, Dorian?"
"I want to kiss Finian when I see him!"
Shiro stared at Dorian with a frown and then burst out laughing.
"That's why you look so worried?"
"Yeah?" Dorian said, startled by Shiro's reaction.
He hadn't expected him to laugh like that.
"Well, kiss him then!"
"But is that okay? I mean, if I kiss him in front of you?"
"Yes, silly. I wouldn't agree to move in with you if I weren't prepared to see you be doing that sort of thing. Finian's your husband, after all. I know you're going to have sex with him as well sometimes, and sure, it will feel weird, but I'll get used to it!"
Dorian stared at Shiro in disbelief.
"Sometimes, you and Finian are very alike. So bloody reasonable, it's almost scary."
Shiro chuckled and put his hand on Dorian's cheek.
"Well, if I can ask one thing, is that for every kiss you give Finian, I will get one too."
Dorian grinned, he liked that deal.
"Here's one in advance then," he said and grabbed Shiro's shoulder, and gave the slender man a passionate kiss that made Shiro's heart flutter.
Shiro was the one that broke the kiss and panting, he leaned back in the seat.
"Damn it! I'm horny," he said, and Dorian burst out laughing.
"Sorry, Babe," Dorian chuckled. "Will you be able to go in there?"
Shiro was so close to asking Dorian to jerk him off, but he stopped himself. Dorian probably would have done it too. But being in front of his house, with the family inside waiting for them, it was simply wrong. Sexy, kinky, and precisely what Shiro needed, but still wrong.
'Bad Shiro,' the omega thought.
"Yeah, no worries. It will go down."
Dorian's eye grew big, and he stared down at Shiro's groin. Luckily, his big shirt did hide the hard-on, but Shiro snickered.
"What you looking at, Perv?"
Dorian looked up, straight into Shiro's brown smiling eyes. The alpha's blue eyes looked feverish.
"That, perhaps, we should have stayed one more night in the other apartment."
Shiro flinched. His heart was beating like crazy. He thought he would never hear something like that from Dorian.
"Seriously?"
But Dorian sighed, turned, and looked out the window towards his house. The sigh was heavy, and so was his gaze.
"Yes. And no. I don't know! There are so many different emotions constantly tugging at me, pulling me in opposite directions. Honestly, I don't know what to think or do most of the time."
Shiro took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down. Now wasn't the time to act all sex-crazed and making Dorian more confused over his feelings than he already was. Shiro knew that everything weight heavy on Dorian and Shiro wanted to help his mate. To make it easier for him. So Shiro leaned forward, grabbed Dorian's hand, and smiled calmly.
"Let's get inside to your family, shall we?"
Dorian turned to Shiro, but he didn't say anything. Dorian just had a thoughtful expression on his face as he put Shiro's hand to his lips, kissed the knuckles, and nodded with a tender smile. He quickly left the car, walked over to Shiro's side, and opened the door for him. Shiro thanked his mate, and together, with Dorian's hand resting on Shiro's lower back, they walked up to the house, each holding a suitcase.
Shiro was so nervous he thought his legs would give in. Sure, it had only been a day since Shiro was in the McCallister home for dinner, but this was different. Now he would live there. He grabbed Dorian's arm when Dorian opened the door, and with a comforting smile, the alpha walked in and said with a loud voice.
"We're home!"
"Daddy!" They heard a girl call and the sounds of someone running towards them.
The red-haired girl came dashing down the hallway and threw herself around Dorian's waist. Burying her face in the chest.
"I missed you," she sobbed, and the smile on Dorian's face made Shiro feel flushed.
He looked so handsome when he smiled and looking truly happy.
" I missed you too, Baby girl," Dorian easily lifted the pretty tall girl and held her in front of him.
"Can I have a kiss?"
Caoimhe nodded and gave her father a kiss on the cheek before she whispered something in his ear. Dorian looked surprised, but nodded and put her down. The girl turned to Shiro, her gaze was toward her feet and her hands nervously tucking at the hem of her black dress. She then took a deep breath, to bolster herself, and she looked up directly at Shiro. Shiro was mesmerized. The girl had the most beautiful emerald green eyes, and he was sure that she would grow up to become a stunning woman.
Caoimhe surprised Shiro when she suddenly held her hand toward him and perplexed the man took it.
"Welcome to the family, Mr Nakamura," she said, trying to sound confident, but her voice wavered nervously.
"Arigato, Caoimhe-chan," Shiro replied and gently grabbed her hand.
He leaned forward as he placed a kiss on the back of her hand. The girl's eyes grew so big she almost looked like an anime character, and she pulled her hand back to her chest.
"Oh, my God!" She squealed and suddenly ran out of the hallway. "I will never wash my hand again!"
Dorian and Shiro looked at each other and burst out laughing. At the same time, Finian walked into the hallway with a confused look on his face.
"What's gotten into her?"
The two men stopped laughing, and it became silent. Finian turned first to Shiro. His smile was welcoming and sincere.
"Welcome home, Shiro."
Shiro bowed and couldn't stop the tears from falling.
"Thank you so much."
Finian walked up to Shiro and pulled the smaller man to him, embracing him firmly.
"No, thank you for wanting to come to us."
Shiro returned to embrace, putting his trembling arms around Finian's muscular body. So they stood until Dorian pulled them both into his arms.
"Don't forget me," he smiled, but his voice was shivering of all the emotions.
Finian looked up at his husband, his eyes beamed, and Dorian knew that Finian was truly happy. Someone cleared their throat, and the three men, still with their arms around each other, turned simultaneous toward the doorway to the living room. There Eamon greeted them with a smile.
"The tea is ready," he announced.
Finian was the first to let go, and he looked at Shiro.
"Eamon can show you to your room. If you don't mind, Eamon?" Finian glanced at his son.
"Of course not," the boy said, walked up to his dad and hugged him.
"Hi, dad," he said. "Good to have you home."
Dorian kissed the top of Eamon's head and beamed.
"I missed you, son."
"I missed you too," Eamon said and turned to Shiro.
"Welcome back, Mr Nakamura. Come, let's get your things to your room."
Shiro nodded and followed the boy, who was carrying his suitcases. But before he left the hallway, Shiro glanced at Dorian one last time. Dorian smiled encouragingly at him, and Shiro returned the smile and left.
Finian and Dorian finally were alone. Dorian caressed his husband's cheeks with his hands and placed a soft kiss upon Finian's lips. Then Dorian got down to his knees and carefully placed his head against Finian's round belly.
"How are you, Babe? Have our little Ladybug been nice to you?"
Finian looked down at his husband and put his hands on top of the head, gently combing his fingers through the thick blond hair.
"I'm doing great, Luv. But I'm glad your back."
Dorian closed his eyes and felt completely at ease. Finian's slow breathing made the belly move a little. It was soothing. But suddenly, there was a quick movement, and Dorian felt a shallow flutter. He looked up at Finian with big eyes.
"Did he kick?"
Finian nodded and smiled happily. He loved seeing how excited Dorian still got even after two pregnancies.
"Yes, he started doing that last night."
Dorian gently kissed the belly.
"I love you, little Bug," he looked up and locked eyes with Finian.
"And I love your father more than anything."
Finian's face seemed to relax as he heard the sweet words.
"You still do?"
Dorian stood up and put his arms around Finian's waist, leaning his forehead against Finian's.
"Of course I do, Luv. You are my best friend, my soulmate. I love you so much that even the thought of being without you hurts. You are everything to me."
Finian's bottom lip was trembling, but he didn't cry. Instead, he put his lips on Dorian's. Dorian responded, and kissed Finian hard, enjoying the familiar taste.
They broke the kiss at the same time and looked at each other with feverish eyes.
"You did good, my love."
"I did?" Dorian asked, his voice heated.
"Yes. Thank you for doing your best for this family."
Dorian kissed Finian's forehead and caressed his husband's blushing cheeks.
"Shall we go and have some tea with our family?"
Finian nodded and took Dorian's hand in his, leading the way to the living room. Dorian stopped at the doorway and grinned when he saw the impressive table. There was the Irish tea cake he loved, sandwiches, scones, lemon curd, clotted cream, and his favourite tea. It smelled delicious, and Dorian turned to Finian.
"What a nice surprise," he said.
"It was all Caoimhes idea," Finan replied, and continued walking, tugging Dorian along.
"Caoimhe?"
"Yes, when she heard that you were coming home with Shiro, she thought we should serve this."
"So, she accepts Shiro moving here?"
Finian sat down on the couch, and Dorian joined him.
"Yes, she actually said it would be amazing, but weird to have Shiro Nakamura in her house."
Dorian chuckled when he heard that.
"And Eamon? He didn't have any objections?"
"None at all. Eamon just wanted to make sure that I was happy."
"And are you?" Dorian asked, he both looked and sounded worried.
"Yes, I am Dorian. For the first time in weeks, it feels like everything is returning to normal. Even though so much has changed and Shiro being here, it doesn't feel wrong."
Dorian stared into Finian's green eyes, and he was stunned. Once again, Finian had blown him away, with his open mind and his big heart. Finian always said that Dorian was the one with a big heart, but Dorian thought the same of Finian.
"I really do love you," Dorian said and gently kissed Finian's lips.
"Get a room!"
Caoimhe's sudden, but joyful outburst ended the kiss, and the two men turned to and saw the girl, Eamon, and Shiro, walk in. Shiro looked a little lost until Finian told him to sit by Dorian's other side on the sofa, and quickly the younger man walked to them. When he sat down close beside Dorian, the alpha turned to his mate.
"Is the room alright?"
Shiro nodded, and he leaned close to Dorian.
"You owe me a kiss," he whispered, his lips close to Dorian's ear and his gaze so seductive Dorian's eyes grew wide.
But before he could react, the omega smoothly leaned back on the sofa and looked like nothing had happened. Dorian had to fight the excited grin that threatened to give him away. But it was hard. He had never suspected Shiro to be so flirtatious. It was damn tempting, and Dorian had to remind himself to get back at the younger man later when they were alone.
Finian looked at Dorian and Shiro with a surprised expression on his face, and he smirked before he looked away. Dorian noticed that Finian didn't seem bothered or upset by the way his husband acted toward Shiro, and he was relieved. They were really testing the water's here, and none of them knew what would be too much.
'We have to tread carefully,' Dorian reminded himself and thanked Eamon as the boy poured the tea into his father's cup.
The whole family sat, and small talked while they ate. They all knew it was an odd situation, but they enjoyed themself. Shiro found the McCallister children to be easy to talk to, and he liked to see how Dorian interacted with them. He really was a kind and funny father. Dorian listened to what they had to say, he joked with them, and he had the sweetest smile. Shiro fell even harder for the alpha. And Finian talked to Shiro the same way he had always done. For Shiro, it felt like he already were a part of the family.
After tea, it was time for the kids to go to their activities. Caoimhe played tennis, and Eamon had archery. After the kids left, the three adults started cleaning up as they waited for the store to deliver the items they bought.
Shiro laughed as Dorian joked around, and sure, there were a few times when the married couple told inside jokes or talked about things Shiro didn't know about, but he didn't feel left out at all.
"So Shiro, when is that nice manager of yours coming to London?" Finian asked as they were done in the kitchen.
"On Tuesday. We just have to find him someplace to stay. We were supposed to buy a house, but well. Things happened, as you know," Shiro said and looked down, feeling a bit awkward.
He goes all the way to Tokyo instead of buying a house. Thinking about it now made Shiro feel quite childish.
"Were you planning on living with him?" Dorian asked, and Shiro clearly heard the irritation in the other man's voice.
That made Shiro actually feel a bit happy, and Finian rolled his eyes and shook his head, but didn't say anything.
"Well, yes. Deion isn't just my manager, he's my best friend. And after Kei died, Deion was the one person I could rely on."
Both Dorian and Finian looked at Shiro with pain in their eyes, and Dorian grabbed Shiro's hand.
"Then I'm thankful towards him."
"How about Deion stays in Simon's apartment? I'm sure they won't mind," Finian suddenly suggested.
"Good idea Babe, I can ask them later," Dorian replied, and both men turned to Shiro. Whom truth be told were a little overwhelmed.
"Are you sure they won't mind?"
"Of course not. Simon and Keith told us when they let you stay there, that they were only glad that it came to use."
"Thank you, I will talk to Deion about it.".
Shiro thought about his last conversation with his manager. He still hadn't told Dorian about the stalker, and he simply couldn't avoid the subject any longer.
"I have something I need to talk to you about," Shiro said and took a deep breath as he prepared himself, scared that he would be rejected after all.
