Chapter 36 - Far too sweet

Blue Haven Records

As Shiro was standing before the four executives of Blue Haven Records, he felt like their stares were about to burn holes in him. And usually, Shiro would have been extremely nervous without Deion by his side when standing in front of these types of people. But, for some reason, he wasn't. The omega knew that it was solely thanks to the two alphas next to him. Without Dorian's air of authority and Finian's calm, Shiro would have immediately fled the room. But now he had entered the conference room with his head held high and looked straight out at the four people sitting at the table.

Out of the four, he recognized two people, but Shiro only remembered the name of one. It was a brown-haired man with a stern expression on his face. His name was Elliot, and Shiro knew that this man was Dorian's closest friend.

During his time with the alpha, Shiro had heard this man being mentioned many times. Not only was Elliot Dorian's best friend and the Vice President of the company, but his wife was also close to the McCallister family, and their children were friends with Eamon and Caoimhe. Shiro knew that this was one person he needed to have a decent relationship with because they would most likely spend a lot of time together in the future. Shiro was determined to become a big part of Dorian's life, just like Finian was. And that meant that he had to be able to get along with the people Dorian cared about.

But as Shiro and Elliot's looked at each other, Shiro suddenly remembered the last time they meet. Shiro had gone into heat and crawled on the office floor like an animal. Panicking, Shiro simply couldn't face the man. He was far too embarrassed, and quickly he looked away. He was feeling his cheeks burning.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice. This here is Shiro Nakamura, my bonded pair. And you all know my husband, Finian."

Finian smiled at the people he clearly knew very well and sat down on a chair beside the black-haired woman Shiro remembered having a Korean name. The woman's face lit up when Finian greeted her, and when he whispered something in her ear, she laughed.

Dorian sat down on the chair next to Finian, and Shiro took the seat on his other side. Without thinking about it, Shiro searched after Dorian's hand under the table, and when Dorian felt the slightly trembling palm against his thigh, he grabbed it firmly and looked at Shiro. His eyes were filled with nothing but care.

"You have already met Yeo-reum Pae and Elliot Hendricks before, and the man sitting beside her is Tyler Johnson, our lawyer. And to your right is my brother Lucas, the A&R Director."

Dorian was careful not to look at his brother, but Shiro immediately looked at the man beside him, curious as he was finally able to see Dorian's little brother. And Shiro was surprised. The man seemed nothing like Dorian, Shiro couldn't even see that they were brothers.

The platinum blond man smiled at Shiro, it was a sweet, kind smile and his blue eyes, a lighter blue then Dorians, beamed cheerfully.

"I'm really glad to finally meet you, Shiro," Lucas said and held out his hand.

Shiro grabbed it, and they greeted each other. Shiro immediately sensed that this man was just as kind as the rest of the family.

"It's nice to meet you, too," Shiro said and beamed. "You look very much like Simon."

Surprised, Lucas flinched. It was the first time he was told that he looked like either of his parents, and it felt very nice to hear it. But, Lucas didn't get the opportunity to say anything. Dorian cleared his throat and started talking.

"You all know that Shiro and I have bonded, and he is now living with us. This information has reached the media, and they are now writing nothing but lies about us. Offensive things about me, Finian and Shiro. We need to give a response to this before it affects Shiro's career and harms the company. Anyone got any ideas on what we can do?"

The meeting went on for a long time, with several suggestions until they finally decided that Yeo-reum would announce a press conference, were Dorian, Finian, and Shiro together would make a statement. And if they afterward found a single incorrect thing, they would sue for defamation.

Dorian really hated this. He never liked getting attention from the media, and luckily the McCallisters had managed to avoid becoming public figures. So if it weren't for his two mates and the kids, Dorian wouldn't have bothered with all of this, but he couldn't let anyone hurt his family.

They decided that the press conference should be held the next day. It was short notice, but they didn't have time to spare. Shiro's much-awaited single was to be released next week. And after that, Shiro would start doing interviews before his new album would be distributed the following week. They needed to take care of the gossip before that.

Finian and Yeo-reum agreed that they would write the statement together, and Tyler would assist as a legal advisor. And at the end of the meeting, Dorian talked about Shiro's stalker. It was more normal than not to have at least one crazy stalker when you were a famous artist like Shiro. And it was decided that they would strengthen the security, for the time being, making sure that all the family members had security guards. The stalker shouldn't get any chance to get close to them.

The meeting ended when Dorian thanked everybody for coming and rose from his chair. He looked at Finian while grabbing Shiro's hand, making the younger man rise to his feet.

"Why don't you and Yeo-reum write the speech now? I'm was thinking of going with Shiro to the art department. The cover for Shiro's album is done and needs his final approval."

"Alright, but don't forget we're going for lunch afterward," Finian said and looked at Elliot.

"I talked with Katie, and we decided to have lunch together. She said that you didn't have any plans for today, so do you want to join us?"

Elliot got a surprised expression on his face, and unconsciously he glanced at Shiro. The two men's gazes meet, and flustered Shiro looked down.

Feeling slightly uncomfortably, Elliot cleared his throat and turned to Finian.

"Okay, just give me a call when you all are done."

Dorian turned and started walking out of the room with Shiro close behind him. But the couple didn't manage to walk more than a few meters before someone called Dorian's name. They turned around, and there was Lucas. The younger brother had dashed out through the door, suddenly filled with the courage to face his brother.

The smile Dorian had on his lips vanished, and his eyes turned dark. A shiver went down Lucas' spine, and he regretted his impulsive actions.

"What?" Dorian said, his tone unusually strained, and he glared at the shorter man.

Lucan hesitated. All his determination was long gone. But then he suddenly met Shiro's gaze, and the omega nodded, slightly smiling as if he was trying to encourage Lucas. The platinum blond man took a deep breath and forced himself to look straight at Dorian, who had noticed the exchanged between the two younger men, and now had a confused look on his face.

"I need to talk to you."

Dorian didn't respond immediately, and Lucas could feel himself break out in cold sweat. Finally, after what felt like forever, Dorian sighed and nodded.

"We can talk tomorrow before the press conference. Come to my office at nine."

With that, Dorian turned around and holding Shiro's hand in his, the tall alpha walked away. But before Shiro was almost pulled away, the omega managed to smile at Lucas. Lucas lifted his hand and watched as the two men walked away.

"I told you it would be fine."

Lucas flinched surprised when Finian suddenly stood beside him, and with his heart hammering in his chest, he looked at his brother-in-law.

"Yeah, but I'm not used to see him upset."

Finian had his arms crossed over his chest, and now it was almost resting on his round belly. He was slightly taller than Lucas, but not by much. However, Finian was a lot more muscular than Lucas. Sure he had muscles, but because the younger man only did sport like tennis or basketball, he didn't have the same bulky muscles as Finian and Dorian had. They had been going to the gym to weightlift since they were teens.

"He's had a lot on his mind. Just continue to be patient with him, and everything will be fine. Don't forget he loves you and misses you as much as you do."

The words the red-haired alpha said, did encourage Lucas, but he still was doubtful.

"Promise?"

Finian put his hand on Lucas' shoulder and squeezed it a little.

"Yeah, I promise."

It was like magic. Every single time Lucas felt unsure about anything, Finian had always managed to make him feel better. And it had been like that for as long as Lucas could remember. After all, Finian had been a part of his life ever since he was just a toddler. Lucas had grown up with Finian, and he couldn't even remember a time when Finian and Dorian weren't a couple. The younger man regarded Finian as much of a brother as Dorian. And even though he respected Finian as the mate of the Prime-alpha, the leader of the family, Lucas considered Finian as a close friend.

"Shiro seems nice," Lucas said, and Finian could hear on the man's voice that he was hesitant.

However, Finian just nodded in agreement and smiled.

"He really is. I'm glad that he came into our life."

"You are?" Lucas exclaimed in surprise and stared with huge eyes at the other man.

"Yes. I already consider Shiro a good friend, but most importantly, your brother loves him."

"So, Dorian really loves him?" Lucas was astonished by what he heard.

He already noticed that Dorian was getting along with the omega, which didn't surprise him. As he had said to Finian, Shiro seemed nice, and he was absolutely beautiful. Even more so in real life. But that Dorian's feelings for Shiro were already so strong surprised Lucas. He would never have imagined his brother loving someone other than Finian. However, Finian nodded.

"Yes, but he hasn't said it yet. Either to Shiro or me, but I know Dorian. And I know that he has loved Shiro probably ever since they bonded. "

Lucas stared at Finian as the older man talked. He didn't sound upset at all. No, he actually seemed content. Once again, Finian took the man by complete surprise. And that was one thing the two McCallister brothers had in common. More than once, they couldn't understand Finian. His way of thinking was too different from their own. But as long as Finian seemed happy, Lucas had no objections.

"Well, if anything's troubling you, remember I'm always here for you."

Finian smiled at that and pulled the shorter man into a firm embrace.

"Thank you, Brother."

The two men separated when Yeo-reum called after Finian. At the same time, Elliot walked out of the conference room, looking for Lucas.

"Could I talk to you for a moment?" Elliot asked when he saw Finian.

Lucas nodded in answer, and the two men left together, while Finian walked back into the room where Yeo-reum and Taylor were waiting for him.

While Finian and Lucas were talking, Dorian and Shiro took the elevator down to the floor where the art department was. Dorian was tense, and Shiro noticed that. To be honest, Shiro thought that Dorian was overreacting when he was rejecting his brother so harshly. After all, Lucas only betrayed Dorian's trust because he didn't want his brother to get hurt. Comparing Lucas with Hayate made Dorian's disappointment in Lucas only seem ridiculous to Shiro. But that was because Shiro didn't realize that Dorian was mostly angry with himself. Dorian knew he was childish and that he should have talked to Lucas a long time ago. But Dorian was ashamed, thinking he had failed as both a brother and as the family's Prime-alpha. So while Dorian stood in the elevator, he scolded himself in his thought. He was repeatedly telling himself that he was an idiot.

When the elevator stopped, and the two men got out, Shiro grasped Dorian's hand and glanced at him. Dorian stopped walking and looked down, frowning.

"What's the matter?"

"I love you."

Looking into Shiro's beautiful black eyes and hearing those sweet words made Dorian lost for words for a moment. His chest felt warm, and the feeling of happiness filled the man, making him smile.

Dorian leaned down and pressed his lips to Shiro's, taking the omega by surprise. Shiro immediately clung to Dorian and deepened the kiss. But the kiss didn't last. They heard the sound of people approaching, and quickly they let go of each other. Their hearts rapidly beating and blushing, Dorian and Shiro faced the person walking towards them. It was the designer in charge of Shiro's album, and the men had to force themself to focus on their work.

But it was hard. Shiro couldn't stop thinking about how Dorian still hadn't told him that he loved him. Even though Shiro could feel that Dorian cared about him a lot, and obviously was attracted to him. And Dorian couldn't stop thinking that he most likely did love Shiro, but how the hell could he tell the omega that? How would Finian react? It was one thing to like a person and have a physical relationship out of necessity. And another thing to actually love someone other than his husband.

However, they needed to try and focus on their work, and the design for the album cover was amazingly beautiful. Dorian couldn't stop looking at it as he was seeing the cover for the first time. The background was a rising sun on a red sky, and Shiro was sitting on an old chair in an empty graveyard. He was wearing a black suit, but his tie was undone, and his shirt was open, showing the fair skin of his chest. On the ground, starting by Shiro's feet, was a single flowery path that went out of the corner of the picture. In the photo, Shiro was staring down the trail, and on his face was a peaceful expression. When Dorian saw the album's title, his eyes grew big, and he looked at Shiro.

"′Revived'?" he asked, and Shiro nodded, feeling his cheeks heat as Dorian stared at him so intensely.

"Yes, that's how I feel. Ever since I meet you, I feel like I finally found a new will to live again."

It was far too sweet for Dorian to hear while standing next to one of his employees, and Dorian had to do something. The overwhelming feeling of happiness and love was too much. He looked at Shiro, then at the designer sitting by the computer. The man, a young artist that Elliot himself had recruited, was bright red in his face and didn't know what to do with himself. Like everybody in the office, he had heard about the bond between their chief and the star Shiro Nakamura. But he never thought that he would witness the display of affection himself, and the young man wished he could vanish into thin air right there.

"The cover is exceptionally well done. Good job," Dorian said, his voice strained, and then turned to Shiro.

"We need to go.

Shiro looked surprised at Dorian. He didn't think there was any rush. They still had an hour before they would go for lunch. But he figured Dorian had some work to take care of and turned to the man he had worked with to get the design for the album done.

"I really like it. Thank you for your hard work."

The man just nodded, blushing, and wished Shiro luck, not specifying exactly what for. Dorian then grabbed hold of Shiro's arm and almost dragged the man behind him, making Shiro stare at Dorian with confusion.

"Is something the matter?" Shiro asked as they walked out of the little office that was the art department.

"Yeah."

Dorian didn't say anything more than that. He kept walking towards the restrooms without saying a word. And Shiro was starting to get anxious. His heart was beating like crazy in his chest, and he trembled nervously. Was Dorian angry with him? Maybe he should have consoled with Dorian before he decided the title for the album? Was it inappropriate?

The truth was that he changed the title just recently because he felt like the previous one didn't fit anymore. Shiro hadn't changed his style much, but it was enough to notice that something with Shiro had changed. Deion had brought it up some days ago in one of their daily conversations over the phone. There was a sound of hope in the music that his previous albums didn't have. And it was the most personal album that the artist had ever done. The listener got a glimpse at Shiro's thoughts in a way they had never been able to before. Especially with his first single, the one that was to be released next week, and he would start shooting the video for. The name was ′That smile.′ Shiro wanted to surprise Dorian with it, but now as he was almost being dragged behind the alpha, Shiro thought that perhaps it had been a terrible idea. And when they entered the empty restroom and Dorian locked the door behind them, Shiro was filled with immense regret. He stared down at his feet and waited for Dorian to say something.

If Shiro had looked up, he would have seen an expression on Dorian's face that was far from anger. Dorian's eyes were burning with excitement, and the man was already panting. From the moment Shiro started to explain why he had decided on 'Revived' for the title, Dorian got hard. Dorian knew it was close to his rut, but this was a first. His dick was throbbing in his pants, and he wanted to take Shiro right there. He completely ignored that they were at the office, in a restroom, and was to meet Finian in just a little while. Dorian wanted Shiro so badly.

"I'm sorry! I should have talked to you before I decided the name," Shiro murmured.

He didn't dare to glance at Dorian, not wanting to see the disappointed look on the face of the man he loved. And he flinched apprehensive when Dorian's big hand caressed Shiro's cheek. As his face was tilted upward, he gasped as he met Dorian's heated gaze.

"I'm so bloody happy right now," Dorian just said and pressed his lips to Shiro's.

He put his arms around the other man and lifted him, putting him on the sink. Dorian kissed him hard, his tongue stroking every inch of Shiro's mouth. When Dorian let go after several minutes of intense kissing, Shiro was panting, and he gazed at Dorian with glanced eyes.

"Aren't you angry?"

Dorian stared at Shiro, completely surprised.

"Why would I be angry? You want to recognize our relationship to the world. That makes me nothing but happy."

Shiro couldn't say anything, because Dorian kissed him again and caressed the back of the omegas head. Their bodies pressed together. Shiro wrapped his legs around Dorian's waist and his arms around Dorian's neck. He could feel the hard cock against his crouch, and that made him so hard he started fidgeting.

"Can we?" Dorian asked, kissing Shiro's neck.

"Please, yes!"

After Shiro said the magic words, the two men worked quickly. Not because they didn't have time but because they wanted each other. In a blink of an eye, Shiro didn't have any pants on, and Dorian had taken Shiros' hard cock in his mouth.

Shiro gasped as Dorian almost devoured the leaking cock and held a hand over his mouth to stop himself from moaning.

"I want to feel you in me," Shiro panted and stroked Dorian's blond hair.

Dorian looked up and met Shiro's gaze.

"Sorry, Luv, I can't do that before meeting Finian. It's fine if I just get to taste you."

But Shiro shook his head.

"I want to make you feel good too."

"You already do that. Your pheromones are making me leak like crazy. I'm going to come soon, so please let me hear you moan."

Dorian licked the shaft before he took it in his mouth once again. Shiro wanted Dorian so much his body ached for him, but he could understand Dorian. This was a spur of the moment thing, and they didn't know how Finian would react if he found out.

So the bonded pair had a quick but intense moment together. Shiro released pheromones that only Dorian could sense and it made every stroke with his hand on his hard cock feel so good, and Dorian had trouble standing up, his legs were shivering. Shiro's sweet moaning as he came was what push the alpha over the edge, and he ejaculated with a grunt while swallowing the cum in his mouth.

Panting like they've been running, Dorian helped Shiro down, and he buttoned his jeans while Shiro pulled up his.

At one time, their eye met, and they both burst out laughing.

"We are like horny teenagers again," Shiro laughed and pulled his hand through his long black hair.

"I don't think I were like this even as a brat," Dorian said and smirked before he rinsed his mouth with water.

"Well, this is the first time I've done something like this in a public space. It was kinda exciting."

Dorian's mouth fell open, and he stared at Shiro.

"It was?"

"Yeah. Kei never liked doing things like that. He was far too aware of the consequences if we were caught doing something inappropriate. His father was a politician, after all."

Dorian shook his head in disbelief. He put his arm around Shiro's shoulders and kissed his mate's temple.

"Oh, my sweet summer child. I have many things to show you."

Shiro laughed and was about to flirt back when Dorian's phone rang.

Dorian picked the phone out of his black jacket and flinched when he saw who it was.

"Hi, Babe. Are you done?" He answered quickly.

Shiro could feel how stiff Dorian became, and Shiro started to regret the whole thing. Sure, Finian had more or less given his approval for Dorian and Shiro to be intimate with each other, but that was just a few hours ago. Shiro knew they were moving quickly because they were fated, but it still didn't feel okay.

Dorian ended the call after exchanging a few words and looked at Shiro. He had an awkward expression on his face.

"We're meeting Finian and Elliot downstairs in ten minutes."

Shiro just nodded, and after checking in the mirror that they looked proper, the two men left the restroom. They made sure that the coast was clear and stepped out into the empty hallway.

None of them said anything as they waited for the elevator, but Dorian grasped Shiro's hand and held it tight. It calmed them, but when the elevator reached the first floor, both of them let go at the same time. And like children afraid to get scolded by their parents, the two men went to meet Finian at the entrance.

Finian was standing by the doors with Elliot by his side. And as Dorian and Shiro approached, trying to act as nothing had happened, Finian looked suspiciously at them and smirked.

"Been having a good time?"

"Sorry, Luv," Dorian said, not knowing what else to say.

He wasn't actually surprised that Finian immediately knew that something had happened between Shiro and him because Finian was always quick to notice things. But truth be told, Dorian didn't regret what had happened. He wanted to be able to do these things with both of them whenever he wanted, but Dorian figured he probably shouldn't rush things like this.

"Babe, it's completely alright. But tonight, you're mine," Finian said and kissed Dorian's cheek.

Dorian stared speechless at his husband, and his heart hammered excitedly in his chest. All that Dorian could think was that he absolutely adored his unpredictable and amazing husband.

Finian glanced at Shiro and looked kindly at the shocked man.

"That's fine, right?"

With a dumbfounded expression, Shiro just nodded, which made Finian chuckled.

"Common, its time for lunch," he said, taking Dorian's hand with his right and held the other arm over Shiro's shoulders and started walking out through the doors.

Left behind was Elliot, and he stared after the three men. He shook his head, completely convinced that Finian was the strangest person he had ever met.
