Chapter 1 - 9th Grade

A/N: This book is discontinued. You can read my other book, Runaway on Wattpad if you like!

"Dittany, please tell me the formula to find the volume of a cone"

What. Okay. Think hard.

"Umm....a raised to 3?"

Okay. That was totally wrong.

"Wrong, that is the volume of a cube. Simon, please answer"

This is the problem with 9th grade. At times you don't even know if the teacher is speaking in English and it's only been two months!. I used to be real good at math, I guess 9th grade really doesn't want me to pass.

Creaaaaakk.

That was the sound of the school gates blown by the wind. Those gates are extremely rusted and make tremendous noises when disturbed. Lavender High really needs a few upgrades. Everything here is close to ancient and smells like dust. It used to be a humungous manor where the great Lady Lavender lived. I think calling her that sounds childish. Anyway, Lady Lavender died without any heirs. Not died. Disappeared. People just assumed she died because no one has seen her for about two hundred years. And fifty years ago, the people of Lavender Falls refurbished it and made it a school. That's basically the history of this weird school.

Rrrrriiiiiingggggg.

There goes that wretched bell. If I get the chance I'll have that thing smashed. It's sound is annoying and very loud and can sometimes seriously scare you if you're daydreaming.

School's over for the day. Now it's finally the end of this boring class and I can see my bestie, Addy.

Adelia Anne Caraway. The prettiest girl I know. It's almost an honor to call her my best friend. Despite her good looks and absolute coolness, she isn't in the Popular Squad. She keeps away from them because she thinks they are absolute snobs. Especially their leader, Vivian Marshal. She takes the Popular Squad around the school during recess, bullying kids (where are the teachers during this time?, I wonder). You should not be fooled by Vivian's pretty face and think she's nice. I've never gotten into trouble with her, I keep well away from that squad; along with Addy. Addy's her nickname, by the way.

Addy and I walk home together. It's more fun and besides, the Popular Squad goes home by the School Bus.

Today, Addy's blue eyes shone in the sun. It was amazing. Why am I not as pretty as her?.

"Woah, Addy, your eyes are seriously on point today"

Of course, she blushed at the compliment.

"Thanks, Ditto. George Hamilton said that too"

Unlike me, she's already started getting guys. George Hamilton is the nicest guy from the Pop Squad(that's what we call the Popular Squad). He was DRAGGED into that group because of his guitar skills and also because most girls think he's dreamy.

"George Hamilton?"

"Yeah"

"Wow"

She giggled. "He's really nice"

"I know"

"How was your day?"

Horrible. Got a C on a test, flopped the Science quiz and whatnot.

"It was great. How was yours, Addy?"

"Same"

We reached our houses(we live right next to each other). So we said goodbye, and and went home.

I seriously need to sleep; I stayed up last night reading comics. So I went to my room, and dozed off on my sofa.
