"P...Princess, please slow down. I will answer all the questions you have, so please."He said in a panic.
I guess I overwhelmed him with all of my questions. Considering that the word 'Konig' is prohibited, it is only normal of him to be uncomfortable.
"Let's start over. Let me tell you how it all started. Over 300 hundred years ago, the first king of Giodivonia was very close to Konig's king. They were at peace with each other. While the royal blood of Giodivonia has special abilities, such as gifts from the Giodivonian gods, the Konig royals have the gift to turn into creatures of the night. Wolves, to be exact. They are strong, fast, and they have their own kind of mana magic. You see, princess, each royal family has its own crest. Each crest represents our empire. Ours has three elements. It stands for our three Giodivonia gods: fortune, which represents treasure, wisdom representing the star, and power that represents the two swords. The Konig royal family has its crest that represents a wolf and the moon. While Giodivonia and Konig had their own languages, we learned each other's language for a better alliance. Both Giodivonians and Konigians shared knowledge, trade, and jewels that had mana of their own: emeralds and sapphires. However, Konigs broke our treaty when we, Giodivonians, had too much trust in them. They backstabbed us in the worst way possible. Their knights turned into wolves on a full moon night and killed many of our people. We call it "the blood moon massacre.' It has been said that they killed over five hundred children, women, and men in one single night. Their reason for killing our people? It was to reach the imperial palace, where the most enormous emerald jewel is kept. It holds such great mana and value that those who have it, that if it is not of royal Giodivonian blood, the emerald will shatter into millions of pieces and extinct the human race. Since that bloody night, the king of Giodivonia closed our gates to the outsiders, including the people of Konig, and we have remained within our walls ever since. However, the former emperor and his majesty have taken many lands towards the north, expanding our Giodivonian territories for over thirty years. We thank our Giodivonian gods and our emperors for such great powers and knowledge that we now have such large territory." The Professor explained.
I nodded my head as I let his words sink into my brain. So that boy… is indeed a Konigian. If I stand corrected, the boy has heterochromia eyes. The same as the same as the black wolf that night.
"Professor, you said they can turn into wolves as a form of power. So how can we separate the royal Konigians from ordinary Konigians? If they can all turn into wolves, what makes the royals special?" I questioned.
"Excellent question, Princess. It has been said that royals naturally possess their awakening from birth. They can turn into wolves from birth due to their royal appearance trait of having the sapphire eye color. Their eye color symbolizes the great power of the royal bloodline and mana. Just as you and his majesty have the royal appearance trait of emerald eye color and possess ability after one's awakening. Their country's jewel- the sapphire, holds a strong value of mana. Those who have the blessed sapphire jewel can turn into a wolf. Those who do not hold the royal jewel, they are not able to turn into a wolf. Since the royal Konig family are born with sapphire eyes, they are the only ones that hold greater power in terms of transformation, strength, and speed. The Konig knights, also known as Sapphire knights, are given a sapphire jewel implanted into their necks to turn into wolves in need of transformation. However, they can only turn into wolves on a full moon. Hence the night attack. Royals, however, can transform when they want to."
Wow. Only this kind of stuff is read in fantasy novels or fiction movies. Well, it makes sense. After all, I am in a five-year-old princess body that supposedly has healing powers and has family members that possess their own power ability.
"Professor, what are the Konig's family members? Do you know anything about the princesses or princes?" I questioned.
He placed his hand under his chin as a sign of thought. I can see he is thinking deeply about my question.
"To my knowledge, there have been reports of the birth of twin baby boys. Perhaps seven or eight years ago. Both are children of the emperor and first empress. That is all I know. We only have spies that give us reports on their military updates in case of a war breakout. Perhaps his majesty and the third prince, commander of the Knights, may know more about Konig's status. Konigians are only presented in textbooks as villains and untrusted people, so my knowledge of them is a bit limited."
I nodded to show my understanding.
