The flight between Nightingale island and Texas in the US was almost half the time of the flight between the island and Justine's home country, Italy.
Damon and Justine were sitting beside each other alone in the plane; all other seats were empty,
Even though the flight is relatively short for Justine she felt as if it takes forever, because of the awkward silence between them; Damon hasn't talked much to Justine since they left the principal's office and till the day of their flight.
Justine couldn't bear it anymore sho she broke the silence saying,
"Damon for how long are you going to stay silent?!"

"We have to make a plan to deceive the people into thinking that we are a genuine couple," Justine says
Damon turns his head towards her and says with a carefree expression on his face,
"Deceive?"

"What are you talking about? we are a real couple, aren't we?
After hearing that Justine hits him on the shoulder a few times, then she bends on her seat looking to the ground and says nervously,
"B-but we are still sleeping separately-"

"Moreover we didn't have a single true conversation since that day when I answered your mother's call"
Damon titles his head a bit to check on her, he noticed that her ears were bright red, so he realized that she must have been embarrassed.
"Don't worry I won't force anything on you." he reassures Justine.
"We will just do enough to make the people back from protesting in order to protect your country-"

"I know how much you care about your country, you even gave up your marriage to protect it" he continues.
Justine embarrassment turned quickly to gratefulness; she was grateful for how thoughtful Damon is, even though he didn't really want to go back home, he decided to do it for my sake.
But Justine felt a bit tingling in her heart when Damon said, " You even gave up your marriage", She didn't know why she was hurt on hearing that.
By then she still didn't realize that she actually didn't give up on this marriage but rather she actually wished more of it.
They didn't talk to each other anymore for the rest of the flight until they reached their destination at the airport in Texas.
The first who met them was Damon's family; Both his mother and his little sister were standing holding each other's hands and waiting for them, there were a few men in black suits standing further away behind them.
When they saw Justine and Damon coming at a distance, his mother smiled gently with her aged wrinkled face, as soon as Justine saw her she was reminded of her late grandmother.
Damon's mother had kind eyes that seemed to be radiating warmth.
His 8 years old little sister left her mother's hand and came running to her brother when she saw him.
Damon received her with a big smile and held her up in the air then he hugged her.
Even though they were just a normal brother and his little sister, Justine felt a little bit jealous when she saw how warm Damon can be towards his little sister.
Damon didn't talk to his mother directly, he even avoided looking to her in the eyes the whole time.
Justine felt strongly that Damon was giving his mother the cold shoulder but she didn't know the reason, she became even more curious about the cause of this.
His mother seemed to be suppressing her feelings the whole time, she wanted to reconcile with her son but she couldn't bring herself up to do that.
One of the bodyguards came towards Damon and said,
"We don't have much time, there are many places to visit-"
"Don't worry we will be leave now." Damon replies.
Damon turns towards his sister and squats, he pats his little sister's head saying,
"Me and you sister-in-law, Justine, have to go somewhere together-"
His sister starts crying after hearing that then Damon would wipe her tears with his fingers and says,
"I will finish my job as fast as possible so that I can come back home and play with you"

"So don't cry and wait for us like a good girl"
His little sister stopped crying then Damon stood back up and went along with the men in black suits, he didn't say a word to his mother.
Justine was walking behind Damon as they were going outside the airport leaving His mother and little sister behind, he didn't look back even once at them.
Justine felt bad so she turned and waved at them as they were walking outside the airport till she couldn't see them anymore.
