Scarlett headed straight for the operating theatre as soon as the automatic doors slid open, and she burst along the hospital hallways in a frenzy. She got a few weird looks from medical workers and some patients alike, but she didn't even have the liberty to care at the moment. She simply continued running, eyes darting around in search of the operating theater.
It would have been a lot easier to ask at the front desk, but she was running on plain nerves that were jumbled up and frizzled with static electricity. It hadn't occurred to her to ask for directions. Her mind was too preoccupied with fear and anxiety at the moment.
But as she bolted along the hospital hallways, heart thumping wildly against her rib ages, she finally arrived at the small waiting area of the operating theatre.
