A slightly thick document was slammed on the table in front of me and I flinched, caught by surprise as my eyes trailed the length of the hand that was still resting on the table, until my dad's hard gaze met mine.
I swallowed, a bit nervous and confused. "What's going on?"
"You're leaving for Spain tomorrow, that's what!" His hand came up and slammed back down on the table and I flinched again, startled both by his words and his actions. "You'll remain there until you learn to listen to me and stop chasing that damned little black slut all around! You disgraceful child!"
I dropped my pen on the table, my English essay momentarily forgotten as anger fueled my veins at his words.
"Scarlett is not a slut." My teeth clenched in anger, my hands itching to ball into fists.
