Coruscant
Imperial Palace
---------------------------
The Emperor watched over his world, staring out at all the people that he reigned over. He studied each passing sky car, wondering who exactly was within and if they held a position high enough for him to care. He had reaped what he sowed, an empire all to his own. It only took a few sacrifices and the purging of the Jedi, but now he held the power. He had absolute control over the galaxy.
Or at least he would have. The Emperor furrowed his brow as the thoughts of the past few years came to mind.
First there was the "Prodigy" child that was supposed to be the rebel suppressor, William Jaeger, and that whole fiasco. He couldn't believe that Vader let the plans for the Centurion Star Destroyer fall into the hands of such a fool. He had a feeling that he should have just killed that child and that blasted Mandalorian when he saw him spare someone, but that was during the time when his power was not completely secure. Now there was a rogue Imperial out there that he needed to deal with.
The there was the entire issue with the Death Star. How a group of rebels broke into Scarif and stole the plans, and then how they managed to blow up the entire station like it was nothing. That beautiful piece of technology was worth over trillions of credits! It took years to build that masterpiece. Now it was just debris hanging over Yavin. Two major blunders and no major win for the Empire. At least one of the rogue Jedi had been taken care of, Lord Vader ensured that, at least. Now there was only one....
The doors to his chambers slid open, disturbing his solitude. The Emperor turned to see one of his guards standing there, force pike in hand. "Speak."
"Sir, Lord Vader is here to speak with you." The guard said calmly, but the Emperor could sense the fear surrounding his aura. As it should be; all of his underlings should fear the power of Lord Vader and himself. The Emperor simply nodded, waving his hand to order Vader in. The guard walked away and soon he heard the methodical breathing of Vader's life support and his heavy mechanical foot falls. His dark pupil walked into his chamber, stopping at the same position the guard had, kneeling for his master.
"Master, I have returned. You wished to speak with me in person?" Lord Vader said, keeping his head lowered as to not stir the rage within Lord Sidious.
"Vader..." Sidious uttered out, slowly rising from his chair, walking towards the kneeling sith lord. "While there have been some recent setbacks, the Empire is still the galaxy's ruler. We will show the subversives of the galaxy that we are absolute, and that our will is all powerful..." He stopped in front of Vader, looking down on his favorite apprentice. The black armor covering his head reflected the Emperor's grim visage, reminding him of years past when he gained this deformity. He grumbled and turned around. "Gideon had proven his robotic projects are worth the investments, but due to the loss of the Death Star, We will halt his projects until further notice..."
When hearing this, Vader raised his head, looking to Sidious. "You wish for me to-" He paused, trying to figure out if he should reply. "to deliver a message?" At this comment, Sidious turned, his yellow eyes baring into Vader, sending a slight chill down the cyborg's synthetic spine.
"Well, due to the past failings, I'm giving you an assignment that is sure to be simple to complete..." Vader lowered his head once more, but Sidious could feel the anger boiling in him. "Also, I would like you to order an admiral to hunt down the Jaeger. You are required elsewhere once completing these tasks. Head to Kuat to rendezvous with this admiral who will pick up where you left off."
"What am I to do after these tasks?" Vader asked, his breathing revealing his growing agitation. Sidious sat back down, looking out the window and back out to the busy sky.
"Contact me once you complete those two tasks, I will tell you then. Do not fail me, Vader..." With that answer, Vader stood up and walked out of the room, his cape billowing behind him as he stormed through the halls of the palace.
Vader pondered his tasks, the Gideon message would be simple, but he wondered who exactly this admiral would be.

Kuat Shipyard
---------------------------
Lord Vader stood in his shuttle waiting for the vessel to land in the hangar of the shipyard. He saw a number of Star Destroyers patrolling the shipyard, all of them with odd names. They claimed to have been in service for many years, but Vader couldn't help but doubt that. "Who is this admiral?" Vader asked a droid hovering next to him. The droid beeped back, and Vader's head tilted in confusion to the name it just told him. "Admiral Slone? Never heard of them." He felt the shuttle enter the hangar and slowly descend. The shuttle shook and he collected himself as the cabin depressurized to match the hangar's environment. "I suppose that if the Emperor thinks highly of this man, I should not be as hostile as I could be."
The ramp lowered and Vader was surprised at the massive precession awaiting him, He was expecting a few lines of Storm Troopers waiting for him, but the hangar was almost completely filled. The army that waited for him formed a path, and in that path, there were a few people waiting for him with two standing out to Vader. One of those two was a scientist, while the other was an admiral, who Vader assumed to be Slone.
Slone stood at 5'11",with stark white hair and a cybernetic left arm. Aside from the trench coat he wore draped on his shoulders, he appeared like any other admiral in the Empire. "Lord Vader, such a pleasure to meet you in person." Admiral Slone said, lowering his head and raising his cybernetic arm to his chest. Vader was not completely certain, but something about that arm bothered Vader. "I am Admiral Slone, and the scientist to my left is my chief scientist and friend Ren."
The woman to his left, Ren, lowered her head. Vader studied the woman, seeing that she was an inch taller than the admiral, with a cybernetic left arm as well, along with a breathing device on her face. While Slone's cybernetic arm was rather basic, Ren's arm was white and slick, as if she had the limb custom made. Vader had a growing suspicion for these two, but continued to play along. "Admiral, I am here to bring you an assignment, Shall we discuss what you are to do?"
Slone nodded, stepping aside to allow Vader to lead the way. Vader did not hesitate, walking past the admiral and to a conference room, knowing where he needs to be. Slone looked to Ren, nodding to one another, and they followed Lord Vader.
