I stumbled and fell I ran through the mist forest. I followed faint orizambi all the way. The mist got denser and denser.
"Release," I try again to release the mist but still no luck.
I occasionally ran into some landers, but I tried my best to avoid them. I didn't want to waste my time or orizambi on them.
I tripped over something and fell once more.
"Stupid branch," I curse to myself.
But it wasn't a branch. It was steel, it was a katana.
"Is it Romans?" I ask myself. There aren't any flames around them.
I then noticed something on the handle. RB.
"Roman Blackstar, so his initials?"
I don't have my initials on my katana.
I pick up it and try to track his orizambi once more.
It's heavier now, he's probably fighting that's why it's giving off soo much.
I'm not losing it, I'm going to find you, Roman.
"BOOM!!!!" An explosion goes off over at the village.
Insunya, Liz, Sukai, please be okay.
I reach an old building as I followed Roman's orizambi. The building looks abandoned. I could feel blood on the wall, both human and lander blood. I also sense Roman in there.
I look for an entrance, I find one over at the back. There was a cloth covering what should be a door.
I stand back from the entrance.
I concentrate my orizambi and
"Fire bind- Inflammation"
The little cloth sets on fire and I can see through.
It looked like an old factory.
I walk inside. I don't sense anything.
"Humans are so predictable and foolish," A cold voice hissed as it echoed around. "You feel different from the others," It was a man's voice.
"Where the hell is you, come out and face me," I shout, turning around clockwise."
"I'm already here, you just can't see me," He said. "I'm everywhere,"
It all went dark.
Roman was in front of me.
"Red...help...me..." He said as he tried to catch up with his breath.
I ran towards him, but the more I ran, the farther he went away from me.
"You can't save him, he's going to die," the voice hissed.
I felt tired all of a sudden, I fell onto a knee.
I suddenly felt the urge to open my mouth, then green vines came out of me. It crawled out of me. It mimicked how a snake moved then.
"Aaah," Roman screamed in agony as the vine pierced through his heart. "You...let, me...die," He said in this last breath.
This feels and looks too real to be an illusion.
I screamed as my eyes started to burn up. As it someone had poured acid on my eyes.
"Red," I heard Janes's voice.
Jane? What is she doing here?
Everything started spinning, as the scenery changed.
"You almost killed me, you murderer," Janes screams at me from behind.
"I'm sorry," I say as I turn around.
The Lander's hands pierced through her heart, and the Lander smiled at me.
I smelt smoke. I looked behind me.
"Mom? Dad?" I say to myself as I see my parents stand before me.
"You are a failure," Mom screeches
"We died because you are weak," Dad says
"I was a kid," I say.
"That's no excuse," My father says before the lander decapitates them.
"Weak," A voice echoed around me.
This is just an illusion.
"Failure,"
"Rotten scum,"
"Waste of space,"
"Waste of life,"
"Weak, weak, weak,"
"I'm not weak," I scream.
"Being weak is not an option," I say to myself.
"Orizambi art-"
I try to concentrate but the echoes of "weak" keep ringing in my ears.
"Orizambi art- illusion break,"
A hear glass shatter.
"That's not enough," I scream at myself.
I try to concentrate more orizambi this time.
"Ori..zam...bi art- Illusion break,"
More shattering glasses.
It's all dark now.
"You can't convince me otherwise, I"m done being a burden, I'm done being weak, I'm strong and I'll continue to get stronger, no matter what,"
"ORIZAMBI ART- ILLUSION BREAK" I scream.
If sounded like the entire world-shattering. Everything broke into pieces.
The light cleansed the void that surrounded me.
I was back in the factory. But there wasn't any equipment around. Just empty space.
The moment I walked in here, I entered his illusions.
"You broke out of my illusions out of the pure will, Impossible." He hissed.
An ugly figure stood in front of me. He had an extra eye on his forehead and had four arms. He was pale, and he wore something that looked like a dress, pure white.
"Forget what I said about you earlier, are you even human? Your orizambi is different,"
"You don't get to tell me what I am and what I'm not," I scream at him.
"I am the master of this place, whatever I tell me goes,"
I drop Romans katana.
"Come to me, Starfall,"
I say as I dashed right into him.
"Tell me where Roman is," I say as we clashed. My katanas versus his machetes.
"Don't worry he's alive," He hissed at me. "Say. you're quite handsome, you'd make a fine one."
"the hell," I break then swung.
The sound of the katana and machete echoed through the room.
He swings, then I block, I swing then he blocks.
The next swing, I block then, channel orizambi into your fist then.
Uppercut.
I land straight into his jaw and it sends him flying into the wall.
"Damn you little pest," He screamed.
"Orizambi art- vine clones"
He started to split into two, then four, then six, then eight.
"I'll teach you your place, you lowly weakling,"
Using lightening bind right now will drain me and perhaps even hurt roman.
"Water bind- Icicle formation,"
The icicle attacked all of them. But the vines regenerated back into their bodies.
"Air bind- Air slice"
The blade made of out air sliced through them. He kept regenerating.
"8 against 1, the odds really aren't in your favor boy,"
"Fire bind secret arts- Holy grail"
The blue flames burnt all the vines into nothing.
It was just the original standing now.
"Seems it 2 against 1 now," Roman said from above, standing upside down the ceiling.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Roman?" I said, looking above.
"I knew I sensed you," Roman sensed. "Are you alone?"
I nodded. "An S-class attacked the village, so we split, I came looking for you," I explained.
"How the hell did you escape from my chamber," The ordel hissed.
"I burnt it up," Roman answered.
He got down from the ceiling the moment he spotted his katana.
"Thanks for grabbing it for me," Roman stood beside me.
"Did you leave it for someone to find?" I asked looking at him.
"No, I just dropped it," He said looking forward.
His katanas rose up in blue flames once more.
"So you came for me huh," Roman looked at me. "Why?"
"We're teammates," I say. "And my friend also," I smiled.
"Friend huh," Roman mimicked.
"Don't ignore the man who is about to kill the both of you," The ordel screamed at us. "I'm still far stronger than the two of you combined!!!!"
He screamed running towards us.
"Fire Bind- Dragon Roar,"-Roman
"Lightening bind- Thunder release" -Reid
Fireballs roared out of Roman and my lightening shocked.
"Illusions are your only strong suit, without it, you're nothing," I say to him as he fell on a knee.
"Why are you doing this Roman?" The ordel turned to Roman.
"I'm not my father's puppet, unlike her, I'm my own person," Roman said, walking towards him.
"Her power is immeasurable, she almost on par with him," He said. "With your talent, you'd surely surpass him if..."
"I'm going to surpass him anyway, but with my own means. He has hurt me and my nation enough."
"And you think you can defeat them?" He laughed.
Roman had a straight face. "I will, and that's a promise,"
I then noticed his vines crawling out of the corner. He was trying to finish Roman while he's distracted.
"Well, the poster said they'll take you, dead or alive,"
I had to be faster if I was to save Roman.
"Fire bind- Pyro control"
My flames traveled through the earth and pierced the ordel from under. He was sliced into two.
He mentioned a poster. Dead or alive.
I then remembered, why Roman looked so familiar.
Wanted posters of him all around the kingdom.
"You're the fire prince, heir to the fire throne," I spoke softly.
"You've figured it out huh," Roman sighed. "Oh, well, bound to happen anyways,"
I got up and stood next to Roman, looking at the dead ordel on our feet.
"For an ordel who can control an S-class, he's certainly weak," Roman commented.
"His Illusions are perhaps the best I've ever witnessed," I say.
"What were the illusions,"
"Just bad memories, don't wanna talk about it," I say.
Roman gazed into my eyes.
"Your eyes have witnessed true pain," He says.
"So have you,"
I noticed the little void in his eyes.
"Guess we have that in common huh," Roman sighs. "We should go help the others out, after all, the mission isn't over,"
"Right," I say as we head out.
"Why's your father after you," I finally ask, deep in the forest.
"I ran away,"
"Why?"
"You ask a lot of questions Reid Flannel,"
"I'm just curious,"
"He hurt me, the reason I even have a device. He hurts everyone then tries to manipulate them, I ain't one of his puppets, never," Roman's voice became dimmer as he spoke.
"What happened? For you to get your device?"
"That's a personal one,"
"Come on, one last question,"
"He killed my mother, right in front of me,"
Those words felt and sounded heavier than I expected.
