Happily, they were eating at the dining table. Suddenly, Wyne stood and looked seriously at his phone. Confused, Dreb looked at him, he was a bit worried. Wyne was just like an ice paused by what he saw.
"What happened?" a worried tone came out on Dreb.
Wyne looked at him, sighed in disbelief. "The news," all of them looked at him, they were confused.
"Why? ..."
"What about the news?"
"Lenna was on the news," his eyes widened as he heard. He was astonished, and hurriedly took his phone out of his pocket.
(Lenna) " My husband, he left me with our son for him to be with that woman. (Lenna was sobbing in front of the camera).
(Reporter) "What are you gonna toward this issue?"
(Lenna) "I want them to pay for this" Dreb stood, he can't understand why Lenna's is doing all this.
He took his phone and dialed her number.
"Why did you do that?" Dreb angrily asked her on the phone.
She chuckles before she answers. "You want here right? You can get here but, I will ruin you and your new family Dreb, I don't want you to be happy with her" the call ended.
All the people in the house were looking at him, lifting their brows and looking at him seriously. They want answers, they want explanations, especially Andrea. He breathed deeply, he's hands were shaking and faced them.
"I'm sorry, I never knew she would do this" he looked at Andrea, she walked out. He followed her until they reached the gate.
"Let me explain"
"No need to explain, you don't have anything to explain." she said without any emotions. She went back to the house, she went to her daughter and they left together.
Carmela, cries as she sees her dad. She was waving goodbye to her dad as her mom grabbed her inside the car. Her chest was racing as she saw Dreb was running to follow them, she sped up to get rid of him. As she gets even farther, her chest aches.
Even if they arrived at their house, she can't take off her Ex- boyfriend. She was the only thing that came up on her head. Whenever she looked around, he saw him every corner. A knock on the door got her attention, she wiped her tears and fixed herself.
Ellisa went towards her and hugged Andrea. Ellisa, all these years had been a good person to her. She was like a mother to her, tears were dripping as she felt comforted by the nanny. She was sobbing, chest was about to burst in pain.
"Everything will be okay, this soon will be end" nodded her head and wiped those dripping tears off her.
"Thank you" a smile was on her cheeks, before she lay on her bed she breathed deeply and sigh.
The next morning, a cloudy and windy day woke her up. Yawning, she got up and went to the bathroom to do daily routines. She got her car keys, no appetite on having breakfast. She went straight to her office. She was about to park her car when a lot of reporters were in the area. She looked around, crowded, she dialed the number of her secretary.
"Reporters are here" the call ended, after a minute the guards came on and told the reporters to back off. Reporter, stubborn, they were not listening. "No choice" A voice in her head.
Engine started, she pressed the horn, turned on the lights and started to drive. They blocked the way, Andrea continued to drive, the reporters were frightened and made way for her.
She was inside, employees were looking at her. A deathly glare she gave to them, the happy and cheerful Chairwoman had now turned into a monster.
"I'm sorry about that, we will handle things like that. We are really so-...."
"Don't say sorry, unless they will do that to my daughter. I can't let them do that to her"
"I have some hired bodyguards for Carmela, madam" she exhaled as she went outside. Her secretary did her best but was not appreciated by Andrea. Her heart is full of anger and revenge.
She only thinks of her pain and forgets to appreciate things she had. A loud bang, a very loud bang caught her attention. It was outside her company, the people were throwing stones on her company. Glasses were broken, guards were wounded.
(Reporter) "As of today's latest news, Ms. Andrea Reyes was being attacked by some journalists and some reporters. Many of them were concerned citizens and wanted answers from the trending issues." the news caught Dreb's attention. He saw the news, people were throwing stones at her company.
Ring........Ring...Ring...
"Hello? "
"You okay?"
"I'm fine, what about Carmela? How is she?"
"She's here with me, she's worried about you"
"Mommy, did you get hurt?" her eyes went teary, finally, her daughter asked and worried for her. She sobs quietly, "I'm fine baby, my mommy is fine"
(Door opens)
"Madam, something bad happened"
"I'll call you later baby, bye"
"Wai-" the call ended, his chest started to pound, he's worried sick for the woman.
"What happened?"
"Guards were injured, the reporters were able to enter the company. You have to leave now" her chest was racing, hands were shaking and can't think straight. She was about to go crazy.
"Where can I exit then? "
"Use the stairs instead, find the third floor and you'll see a fire exit near the parking lot. I'll handle the reporter for you to have much time to escape" she just nodded her head.
But before she walked she smiled "Thank you for everything" her secretary can't believe what she heard. She suddenly hugged Andrea, a tear drops.
"You must go now"
She was on the stairs, she started to walk. She started to find the third floor. Her office was on the 10th floor. After two floors, she's now on the 8th floor, 5 more floors. Inhale, exhale, she was panting, she felt weak, every step she took she was feeling weaker and weaker.
She decided to take some rest, she leaned her back on the wall. Continues panting, looking down, up, side by side. Slowly closing her eyes while chasing her breath. As she opened her eyes, a shadow came on.
"Help" she collapsed and lost her consciousness.
She was unconscious, Dreb ran towards her. Waking her up, no response. He quickly carried her and looked around, no one's watching and he put her in his car.
"There..... There they are" he started to drive, reporters were running towards them. Some blocked their way, he was able to get out there. A sigh he released as they reached the house.
"Mommy?" Carmela called out her name as she saw her mom unconscious.
"This is getting worse than I thought," Wyne said as they saw Andrea's condition. A sigh in disbelief, Dreb kicked the chair in front of him.
"This is all my fault" he said angrily.
"No one here is at fault but it was Lenna's" Aly said calmly, everyone cooled their head first.
An hour had passed, Andrea still unconscious. Dreb was looking at her, holding her hands. "Wake up now. We need you, Carmela needs you" tears drop at him.
"How is she doc?"
"She's stable, she needs some rest. She will wake up soon" the doctor leaves, Dreb was the only one left in the room. His daughter fell asleep while waiting for her mom to wake up. Another hour had passed, Dreb fell asleep, slowly closing his eyes..
The next thing he knew, it was morning. He looked around as he couldn't see Andrea in the room. He quickly stepped out in his room and he tried to find her. His chest throb and start to pound. He was looking down as he couldn't find them.
"Andrea?" he shouted as he continued to look around.
"Please come back" he was sobbing, tears continue to flow.
He looked around, he can't just give up on finding her. He went to the garden, every corner. The house feels empty, no one is her, no one, but only himself. With a long and sad face, he went back to his room and was surprised to see Andrea was sleeping in the bed. A trace of smile seen on his face, he quickly ran towards her. As quickly as get towards her, he hugged the lady.
"Don't leave me again please, can you?"
Andrea was surprised, she didn't make a move and her eyes widened. Slowly, Andrea turned into ashes, "No! No!, don't leave me"
"Andrea!" he shouted, he was panting when he realize he was dreaming.
"What happened? A nightmare I guess?" Davis said teasingly. He smirked, and looked at Dreb, he really looked like a fool right now. An evil smile Wyne gave to him, "What are you planning?"
"Nothing, we just make fun of you"
"What did you dream, by the way?" Wyne asked him in a serious tone. He just turned his gaze to Andrea, sleeping. He was just staring at her as she woke up. He quickly looked away, sigh , breathed deeply and slowly stood.
"Just a dream"
