At about 11pm Dewa and Eiji stumbled out of a restaurant near Park Maruyama.
"What a beautiful evening, isn't it my little Eiji."
Dewa said before he stopped and threw up in the street.
"It's been a long time since I've had a good drink."
Eiji with a slightly red face and a slight smell of alcohol sighed and then helped Dewa to walk.
"Our business is doing well, we already have two customers today, soon they'll be fighting for our services."
Dewa said in a tired, hoarse alcoholic voice.
"Don't be too happy, maybe today was just our lucky day, after all, we've already spent over a week without customers."
"You're too pessimistic Eiji, life has ups and downs, we're currently enjoying the ups so forget about the downs."
Dewa looked at Eiji's face as he helped his walk.
"Eiji, can I ask you a question?"
Seeing Dewa's serious face, he nodded.
"Why are your eyes so empty?"
Eiji hearing this didn't speak for a moment but that didn't stop Dewa from staring at him as if waiting for a satisfactory answer.
"How is your wife? Have you managed to explain the misunderstanding?"
Dewa smiled and lowered his head and sighed.
"Unfortunately she won't even pick up my calls, I went to visit her last time and she ignored me royally, even my own daughter doesn't speak anymore, she thinks the father she admired is cheating on the mother she loves, it's all the fault of this damn ghost, it pisses me off."
He jumped to the left, took the position of a boxer and then punched in the air.
"If that ghost hadn't met you I was going to beat it up, show it who's boss, an Uppercut in it face, a low kick and I'd have sent it to Enma* with countless broken bones, if ghosts have bones."
"The ghost was really lucky." Said Eiji with a smile.
Some ten minutes later, Dewa separated from Eiji.
Before he left, he watched Eiji walk away for a moment before he sighed deeply.
He stopped a cab that took him home.
. . . . . . .
The next day Eiji, sleeping on the floor of his father's old office, suddenly woke up with a start, his body covered in sweat.
Seeing the familiar office, he calmed down by wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"I hate nightmares."
He put away the books he had read last night and went for his morning jog.
He left his house at 9:10 am and arrived at the office at about 9:30 am.
"Good morning.
"Speak more softly, I'm hung over."
Dewa was sitting there head down on his desk, massaging his temples with a painful expression before looking at Eiji who had gone to sit on the couch.
"I made some calls this morning, an old friend of mine is the current principal of Miyagi High School, I made an appointment with him, but why do you want to investigate Iwamoto, he's the victim, I don't see how that can help us get rid of the ghost."

"Did you know that in some cultures there are vengeful ghosts, their existence is due to the brutality or cruelty of their death like the one that ruined your life."
"Of course I knew that, that's the basis of any horror movie these days, in addition to that, I've done a lot of research on the subject." Says Dewa with a lazy look.
"I read another Celtic variant yesterday, which says that animals that have undergone despicable treatment before their deaths hold a grudge against murderers. But their souls being too weak, they could not take revenge after their deaths, they can only watch their executioners with hatred until the death of the latter."
"I still don't understand what you mean."
"In the Tomiju mansion, especially in Iwamoto's room, I saw countless ghost animals, it was very similar to what was described in the book I read, there was also the ghost of a young girl, but I can't figure out what the ghost of a young girl was doing among all those ghost animals."
"You mean this Iwamoto liked to mistreat animals?"
"I don't know, but well, I hope to learn more, because without lying to you, I don't think I can exorcise this ghost with my current strength, I have to find a roundabout way to get rid of it."
Dewa fell silent with a pensive air as Eiji stood up and walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?"
"Miyagi High School, there's a beautiful teacher I want to see again."
"Haha I wish you good luck, kid."
