Two weeks later.
Dewa and Eiji, smiling, their faces covered with paint, stood upright in a room whose walls had just been repainted.
"Dewa, we're finally done."
"My dear Eiji our company will grow and we'll soon be number one in Japan."
"Hahaha!"
The two holding each other's shoulders laughed loudly.
Then they removed the empty paint buckets and the plastic sheeting that protected the floor from the paint, Eiji opened the window to invite air in before leaving the room with Dewa.
After cleaning themselves, the two men left the building and walked down the street.
"When do you think we can start our activities?"
Eiji looked at the buildings they were walking away from with a questioning look.
"They're going to install the furniture tomorrow, so we can probably start in two to three days."
"How much did it cost us?"
Dewa took a notebook out of his leather bag and read it before answering.
"I paid all my savings of ¥3,000,000, you paid ¥1,000,000 from the loan you took from the bank, we paid a six-month deposit for the rent, which cost us ¥1,500,000, add to that the paint, internet connection installation fee, furniture and taxes to pay, we spent ¥2,998,625".
But suddenly Eiji stopped as if he had just remembered something important, Dewa also stopped and looked at Eiji strangely.
"Dewa I just remembered, I was so excited about starting a business and making money that I forgot to ask you what our business will sell or give as a service."
"Haha your thoughts have surely been clouded by the energy of youth, so let me tell you about my great idea, we will be an exorcism company!"
Eiji nodded his head with a smile and laughed.
"What a wonderful idea, I'm sure we'll make a lot of money...wait! What did you just say?"
Eiji's face was frozen, his heart stopped beating, while his legs became limp.
"We're going to open a business specializing in exorcism, it's the best way to help people who have gone through the same hardship as me, plus there must be a lot of ghost victims and monsters who desperately hear their savior."
Dewa's eyes lit up as an aura of justice emanated from his body.
Eiji had the urge at that moment to kill Dewa, but he quickly calmed down and then got up and changed course.
"What is it, Eiji, where are you going?"
Dewa, still bathed in an aura of justice, noticed his comrade leaving without him.
"I'm going to get some sleep or my heart will give out." Eiji said in a voice tinged with deep despair.
"Okay, I'll call you as soon as the office is ready."
Eiji without answering walked a few minutes before taking the subway and returned home.
When he arrived, he reheated a dish and ate it calmly, for the first time since he came into this world the food had no taste.
'It's my fault, because of my stay in hell I lost my common sense.'
He sighed bitterly and then picked up his plates and washed it, then went up the stairs and entered his room.
It was a fairly large room with a single bed, a computer, a table and a chair, two weeks ago, this room was full of figurines, games and consoles belonging to his predecessor, but he had already sold them all.
He came and sat down on the floor, took off his shirt and raised his arms.
He took a deep breath, then symbols in the form of chains materialized on his arms and then a chain slowly emerged from each of his hands.
The chains circled around his body constantly changing direction before slowly returning to his hands.
Then Eiji repeated the process several times before falling to the ground with his body covered in sweat.
As soon as he left the hospital, Eiji noticed two changes in his body, first he could materialize and control the chains in his arms at will, at first he had little control over the chains but after a week of training every night, he could now give the chains basic commands.
Second, after the chains had devoured the ghost, he had acquired the ability to float in the air for a few seconds but that exhausted him very quickly, he therefore avoided using this capacity.
He had also tried to communicate with the chains, but it didn't work, finally he gave up after several attempts.
Eiji completely tired, slept on the ground until the next morning. He woke up at 6am and then went for a two hour jog before going home.
. . . . .
After breakfast, he took a bath, got dressed and he went up to his father's office and took several books from his library such as "Urban Legends and Stories of the Yokai", "Crypto zoology", "The History of Exorcisms".
He studied until the evening and then resumed his training with his chains before falling asleep.
The next day around 10:00 a.m., he received a call from Dewa, who asked him to come to the office.
He changed his clothes and put the old clothes in the washing machine before leaving his house, he took the subway to the city center and walked several minutes before arriving in front of the building they had rented.
In front of the building there was a neon sign with writing on it.
"Tokyo Exorcist."
Eiji entered the building and entered their offices.
Inside, on the left of the room there were two sofas separated by a small glass table, on the right there was a bookcase with several books about the supernatural including the "Urban Legends and Stories of the Yokai" that he was reading the day before.
at the back of the room, there was a wooden desk behind which there was a black armchair on which Dewa was sitting, on the desk there was a computer screen, a landline telephone and a printer.
There were also some superfluous decorations such as a vase and a calligraphy with the characters "Purification" that was hung on the wall.
"So what do you think of the decoration?"
Dewa said with a happy smile waiting for Eiji's reaction.
"Not bad, and from what I saw outside, you've already picked the name of the company."
Eiji came and sat on one of the sofas and looked at Dewa smiling.
"Tokyo Exorcist, that's a great name, isn't it?"
"It sounds like a manga name but I don't have any other ideas and the neon sign is expensive to make so I guess it's already too late to change the name."
"Right on target," said Dewa as he opened the window.
"Dewa, you're really weird, but okay, so from now on our Toky Exorcist company is open for business."
