Sathanas had been chosen by Xavier as the backup ruler after Jonathan, and now that both Xavier and Jonathan were heading to Earth, Sathanas was expected to assume the role of the third-in-command until their return.
"Lord Lucifer!" Sathanas furrowed his brow upon hearing the news. "I may not be as fond of war as others believe, but I am greatly displeased with this plan of yours."
"I understand your concern," Xavier acknowledged, leaving Sathanas waiting for further explanation. However, Xavier remained silent, which only fueled Sathanas' growing frustration and anger.
"Lord Lucifer!" Sathanas snapped, but Xavier offered no response, seemingly caught in the same state of confusion and anger that Luka's initial announcement had caused.
