"Well since everyone's here I'll explain the reason why I asked some of you to come along." Shadow announced which snapped Nimbus from her thoughts as she looked towards us. "That would be due to an announcement that me and Nimbus will be officially dating!" It came to no surprise to Sora and me who had figured it out but the rest were in shock. Shadow grinned liking the looks on everyone's faces while Nimbus would look away, her cheeks slightly flushed red.
Star dropped her staff while Grusk just stared like he wanted to burn a hole through Shadow with his gaze. Ruby had her mouth hanging open and overall it was just shocking as no one predicted it. For a while there was silence from everyone, Sora was the first to react by clapping her hands. I was next followed by the rest of the group applauding them like an audience at a wedding.
At first I thought I was seeing things, it took me a while to notice I wasn't and that Nimbus was blushing, another action I had not seen her do. Emerald was the first to speak out, teasing Nimbus "My oh my, is it just me or is Nimbus actually blushing for the first time? I never thought I would see this happen from our emotionless elven friend."
That remark earned her a scowl from Nimbus who was still blushing "Aww now that just makes you look all the more adorable." Teased Sora with a smirk plastered over her face, Nimbus just looked away from us presumably wanting to wipe that smirk off Sora's face.
"Leave her alone alright alright? She isn't very used to this kind of stuff, if you have any questions take it up with me" Shadow announced, stepping in to save Nimbus from her situation, a look of relief passed over her face.
Ruby's face switched to a naughty look as she pondered on her question for a while before saying it out "Have you made out yet or not?"
That was a shock to everyone, even Shadow with a surprised look on his face "Well uhh… that I will keep between me and Nimbus for now" he announced "any more questions that are not so personal?"
"How long has this been going on for? Like is this a recent thing or have you been doing this quietly for a while now?" Sora asked, tilting her head curious to see how Shadow would respond.
He would look over to Nimbus first as to ask if she would consent which she nodded to, it was only then he responded. "Well to be frank this has been going on for about 5 months, although it was only announced now because of her. It was her choice to not allow me to tell anyone as I assume she was not comfortable with all the attention" Nimbus just stayed silent throughout the whole occasion.
With that Shadow looked around to see if there was anyone else who wanted to ask questions. After a while of silence he would say his closing speech "Well if that's all then I am done with my announcement, anyone else has anything left to say if not then we will just continue with what we want to do."
There was a moment of silence as everyone looked at each other before Shadow again broke the silence. "Well then since all has been said, why don't we take a trip to the smith's for an upgrade of our weapons and stuff?" He asked with an all around agreement we all got up and went over to the closest totem. After a while of checking and memorising the route we set off towards the smithery.
On the way there we met a couple of guards who saluted us as we passed after looking at our amulets. They would whisper quietly amongst themselves once we had passed them by a few steps scrutinising us. The ceiling was high enough where pikemen could easily pass through and wide enough so there was enough room to maneuver a spear.
