It was mostly a silent walk we passed few guards as it was assumable training time for them or that there was a changing of guards in progress. Eventually after a while of walking we arrived at the arena, light shone brightly through the doorway. For a moment it was blinding, it took a few blinks before I got used to the light change. The arena walls were constructed as an oval which stuck out of the side of the lower part of the castle.
It was supported by an outcropping of rock from the mountain the castle was made out of. Pillars sprouted from the ground stretching upwards to support the overhanging spectators seats which were empty. It had a second entrance on the other side of the arena with a heavy iron reinforced wooden gate which would presumably allow spectators from outside the castle to enter without stepping foot inside the castle. There were smaller wooden doors which lead to places unknown, the ground was covered in cobblestone tiles curving with the arena's shape.
It seems that everyone was currently on a break as it was mostly deserted except a few people who were standing around in the shade. They were too far away to see the finer details but they were presumably a male warrior and a female mage. The mage was the first to see us standing around and approached us while staying in the shade of the overhang.
She was not too far away from us unlike the warrior who left through one of the many doors along the side of the arena. I nudged Ruby who was beside me and gestured towards the mage approaching us. "Guys, we have a guest coming our way." I announced for the group to hear. They looked over to where I was gesturing just as the mage got into earshot.
"I've never seen you around here before, may I ask your names and ranks?" She took a look at our amulets before realising. "So you are the heroes everyone has been talking about. I would assume you are here for a class test, am I right?"
Sora nods "Yes, and you are?" She asked
"I'm Adolah the imperial mage, pleased to meet you." She said nodding her head in a greeting. She wore a flowing ocean blue robe with a long collar that looked like spikes made out of cloth. There was golden thread around the edges of the robe as two ropes intertwined with gaps between each interception. On the back of her robe was the kingdom's insignia also woven with golden threads with the same design.
The sleeves of her robes ended at her wrist bearing the same design as the collar of her robe. Although much shorter, underneath she was wearing a black dress bearing the look of a nebula. The dress reached to her knees which was armoured with blue Mythril. In addition to that she had arm guards secured over her robes. She had long black hair which reached her shoulders and two locks at the front were till her shoulders. She had a sharp nose and blue eyes, her ears were nowhere to be seen as it was covered by hair.
She analysed us before speaking any further "Go towards the door with the runes on your left keep going until you reach the end. Once you do there will be a door ahead of you and that is where Betty is at. Is there anything else?"
I shook my head, Adolah nodded in response and with that took her leave entering the arena's interior through another door. "Well since we know where we must be going then let's get on our way." Emerald chirped, taking the lead and heading to the door mentioned by Adolah, the rest of us followed suit.
