"This is bad! Bad news Captain Lennon!" near the captain's office, a running soldier who's almost drained tried to call out Captain Lennon. He seems to be weary as he knocked on the door.
"Come in and shut the door..." Captain Lennon managed to hear out the exhausted soldier. He opened the door and quickly shut it with a passive force.
"So... What is happening? If this is about King Yama, don't worry, he still hasn't wake up yet. Everything is going smoothly as it is." Captain Lennon said as he thought that the report would be about King Yama. There's currently no news and updates about what is he planning as of this moment, but they're aware that he might strike again at any time in their own division. There were no witnesses as well of his actions. It would probably take some time before he does anything again.
The soldier wasn't able to say anything about King Yama because of his fatigue, as soon as he calm himself down he started talking.
"No, this isn't about King Yama, Captain..." He said.
"What? If it is not something important then get the hell out of here, I have more work to do." Captain Lennon disputed his call.
"No this is something important, remember that serializing crimes that we're investigating?" The soldier asked. Captain Lennon raised his eyebrow. He placed down a bunch of papers on his table and shited his gaze towards the soldier.
"So? What about it? Did you guys find something interesting? As far as I know we didn't have that much lead on where they are. They just kept coming here over and over again. They don't leave any traces. Not to mention, that Kahlil guy is so fast we can't even catch him with our prison and trap spells." Captain Lennon lent an ear as he talked about how Kahlil always outsmart them.
"Well yes, that's the case. I was sent here by Commander Arthur and Martin. They want us to send them a quick reinforcement. I think they have found something inside the cave." The soldier answered.
"What cave? And what did they find there?" Captain Lennon continued to ask.
"Well, it's the cave located on the northeast side of the capital. It is known as the 'Cave of Deirdre'. A cave that is bound for many treasures and rich minerals and stones. And a kid was trapped in there." He answered.
"Hmm? So what does it have anything to do with Kahlil and the past crimes?" Captain Lennon followed.
"Yes sir, well, it turns out, that cave is Kahlil and his subordinate's hideout." He responded with serious tone.
"What?! Are you sure about that?!" Captain Lennon raised his voice as he exclaimed.
"Yes sir, at the very least, if I recall, Martin is fighting him. At this point, if we don't send them help it will be our lost and there's a chance that Kahlil might escape so please Sir, please send a quick note for all of the soldiers out in the field. Tell them to shut down the capital's gate to prevent any attacks while we engage Kahlil and commence a pursuit. We don't have much time, Sir." The soldier bowed as he ordered the captain to do the thing he is obligated to do.
"Alright then, I'll call them out, I need you to go to the headquarters and warn everyone about it. I'll go in that cave as well to gather more information. Oh and bring out our horses and carriers, If my deduction is correct, Kahlil must be hiding something beyond that cave. A treasure or maybe a bunch of people they've kidnapped." Captain Lennon finally decided to take the measures.
"Understood, Sir!" The soldier went on ahead as he slammed the door in his way out. Captain Lennon stepped back and punched his table causing it shake.
"It's about time that we end this declaration of war... Kahlil" Captain Lennon murmured as he smirked.
The sun ended its settings, the stars were now visible throughout the entire division. It was night time, everything is seemingly fine as it is. But for the other soldier's case including Arthur and Martin, they're currently fighting for their lives and for the sake of the people that has been missing for a while because of Kahlil.
On the other side of the Cave, Nile stood up while emitting dangerous auras from his body. A light blue flare illuminated the whole room and reflected around the gems and treasures they're hiding. Baddock and the Woman behind the cloak were dumbfounded.
"That kid... he has it..." The woman said as she watched Nile gain his power.
"What do you mean? What the hell does he have?" Baddock scratched his head as he asked a question regarding about Nile's condition.
"The ring! That kid has it on his finger. The most powerful thing in this world, one of the four elemental rings who used to seal King Yama 700 years ago." She said.
"What the? Really?" Baddock exclaimed.
"Yes... Looks like we're in bit of a trouble here, Baddock" She followed.
"Don't be ridiculous, Lars. Even if that kid has a powerful ring, I don't he would be able to control it. At the first place he doesn't even use his power let along use the ring to beat us." Baddock said with a confident expression. After he tied Marie on the rock, he entered the battlefield with Lars.
"Now then, now that I've heard about it. I guess it's time for us to work on this together do we, Lars?" He asked.
"Hmm... Well, if we managed to beat him and take his ring to Kahlil we might get a bonus." Lars answered with a confident expression as well.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's do it!" Baddock exclaimed.
A direct look from Nile's perspective, his mind and body is calm. The power of the ring boosted his regenerating ability and managed to heal his injury including some bruises on his own arm and legs. His left eye were tainted in an aqua blue color.
"Big Brother Nile! Be careful!" Marie yelled while struggling to escape from the tie. Nile didn't hear her as he was out of his consciousness.
"Let's go, Baddock!"
"Yeah!"
"Wind Magic Skill: Flurry waves!"
"Earth Magic Skill: Boulder attack!" Baddock and Lars simultaneously cast a spell. They used the flow of Mana to inject their spells with a powerful force that boosts their creation.
"Take this!" Lars waved her hand consecutively to fire the waves of air directly to Nile.
A peak on what's happening, Nile looked up. He raised his left hand. Without even enchanting a spell, a large magical barrier appeared on his area.
"What!?" They exclaimed.
The flurry waves bounced off to different sight while Baddock's boulder attack eroded when it reached the barrier.
"This kid! He didn't even say anything nor chanted!" Lars were surprised of what just happened.
"That's impossible! He can use a spell without even chanting it?" Baddock left the same expression as Lars had as well.
"Nevermind that! Let's try it again!" Lars insinuated another spell attack hoping that it will reach Nile. They tried it again but it wouldn't work on Nile. He walked slowly as he kept his left hand raised upward creating an infinite loop of magical barrier.
"If spells won't work, Let's attack him head on!" Lars shouted.
"Alright leave it me! AHHH!" Baddock rushed in while Nile is approaching them. He punched Nile but the magical barrier reacted to it. Baddock tried another set of combos including a round kick, an elbow smash, an uppercut, a jab, and a bunch of kick but it didn't seem to work on Nile.
"Hey..." Nile softly spoken again for the first time after his boost.
"What?" Baddock responded.
"You're in my way..." Nile glared at him after he said those words with a deep menacing tone. He then began to switch his stance from creating a magical barrier, to a fighting position. Baddock didn't have much time to reach and Nile used that as an opportunity to strike him. Nile hooked him on his face causing Baddock to flinch.
"That's not going to work for me!" Lars didn't wasted any time, using her wind spell, she exerted a massive amount of mana to boost her body. As soon as Nile reached the peak, she quickly rushed in to kick him but Nile's speed was more fast. Her kick reached the ground and destroyed it, causing a tremble and shockwave. Nile managed to evade it at some point.
'He's fast!' She thought.
"You're not focusing..." A soft yet a deadly statement.
"What? Argh!" Nile's quick reflexes blew Lars away. She flinched the same way as Baddock did and they're both down.
"That bastard! He's even more faster! Baddock are you okay?" Lars struggled.
"N-Not really! The impact is too strong, I cannot feel my face anymore and it looks like my muscle is numb already." Baddock explained his condition as he tried to stand up.
"Well we don't have a choice, let's use all of our mana." Lars suggested.
"What do you mean? Should we do it? That kid might not survive." Baddock argued.
"No, let's kill him."
"Alright then." They both agreed on Lars decision to end Nile.
"Let's do the combination attack..." Baddock said while panting.
"Okay!" Lars responded. Nile didn't pay no heed to what they're up to. He simple walked slowly to approach Francis and Marie to hopefully save them.
"Marie? Are you okay? You too sir? Are you guys okay? I'm really sorry!" Nile finally spoke up while he is helping them. He untied the rope that is keeping Francis and then he also untied Marie's rope to free her.
"I'm okay... Thank you so much for saving us..." Francis thanked Nile as he sort himself out and fixed his clothes.
"Big brother Nile! You're so cool out there! You finally have your powers!" Marie joyfully said.
"Haha thanks...–"
"Hey watch out!" Francis suddenly blurted out. An explosion occured near the corner causing them to flinch for a little.
"Hey brats... Enjoying your reunion?" Baddock mocked them as they prepare for something dangerous.
"Damn it! Are you guys okay? Marie?" Francis asked them a question. Meanwhile, Nile didn't say anything after that attack. He walked slowly to confront them with a menacing look and then glared at them.
"Sir, please take Marie and get away from here as fast as possible. The exit is right there. I'll buy you guys some time to escape so please hurry." Nile said.
"Okay but... Are you going to be okay?" Francis asked with a worrying expression.
"Don't worry, I can take them now." Nile answered.
"Okay! Be careful!" Francis took Marie and embraced her.
"Wait! But how about Big brother Nile?" Marie persistently asked.
"He's going to be okay Marie, we're going to get out of here, we will see him again after we exited this cave." Francis comforted Marie to calm her down. They didn't waste any time and hurriedly left the scene through the door from where they came.
"Combination Magic Skill: Erosion!" Baddock and Lars simultaneously chanted their combination skill. They generated a weird looking wave of water with a rock texture that erodes the thing that i t captures. A very powerful trap from a combination spell. Most of the spells they used doesn't exactly follow the rule of what they're applying when an elemental user try its own skills. A combination spell takes more mana than a normal spell.
Nile held out his hand again to form a magical barrier on his front. The erosion wave hit the barrier but it's too powerful for Nile to handle.
"Damn it! This is too much, I thought I can withstand it!"
'Hmm what should I do? I cannot actually produce a water spell attack right now because I don't know how this powers work. Damn it! This protective barrier won't last long. Wait a minute? If I can increase my speed with this power, I can probably get out of here and have those two taste their own medicine. I just need to find a way to outsmart them or somehow trap them. Wait that's it!' Nile have managed to think of something.
"Water Magic Skill: Boost!" He chanted a normal spell to increase his speed while carefully trying to withstand the erosion spell. It seems like he is positive that his plan will work at the small amount of time.
"What is he doing?" Baddock asked.
"What? Well isn't that obvious? He's trying to break away but he's having a hard time doing it. Soon enough, he will run out of mana and this spell will eventuall trap and kill him." Lars speculated.
However... They were wrong...
"AHHH!" Nile stopped the magical barrier he is carrying to focus on his speed, the erosion effect splitted but as he rush in different position, they're still aiming at him. All of the treasures and lighting rocks have eroded but they didn't seem to care about it.
Nile pushed himself upward where there's a large structure of reflected rock. He pulled his hand and raised it upward to cast another magical barrier while keeping his speed consistent. After doing that, the erosion reached the magical barrier but things went downhill.
"What the? No! Stop the spell Baddock!" Lars yelled.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"He's trying to bounce back our spells so its effect will be used against us!" Lars warned him but they didn't have much time. It is too late for them to realize that their spell has been reflected towards them.
"NOOOOO!" The erosion spell hit them causing them to become petrified.
"It worked!" Nile was happy when he saw the result of his thinking. The fact that he used his shield to reflect the spell upside down was a great idea. He didn't killed the two thieves and he left the scene.
"I need to catch up with Marie or they'll be lost again!" He said while running at full speed.
Meanwhile, inside the main of the cave.
"Now! Arthur get out of there!" Uncle Martin ordered him. Arthur stopped his creation of earth spell and released Kahlil. He quickly ran away to have him follow his trail.
"Oh you're not going anywhere!" Kahlil became agitated and didn't knew that there's a secret plan.
"Well... Sorry but I have to go!" Arthur used the reconstruction spell to go outside the room, while Kahlil rushed in through the exit.
In an instant, 5 magic circle appeared and a chain made out of metal captured him.
"He fell for it! Now!" Uncle Martin signaled the other soldier to proceed on the next step.
"Advanced Wind Magic Skill: Tornado!" A large tornado appeared in Kahlil's radius.
"What the?" He exclaimed while struglling. As soon as the tornado appeared, he didn't get to use his mana generation to escape from the seal.
"Okay Arthur, ready? Go!"
"Combination Magic Skill: Erosion!" The same spell that Baddock and Lars chanted, a weird wave with texture reached the tornado and Kahlil's body became petrified.
"NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" He shouted while trying to escape.
"And now for the final attack!" Uncle Martin signaled the fire elemental mages to finally release their strongest attack to hopefully defeat Kahlil.
"Fire Magic Skill: The Dragon's breath!" A wave of flames appeared in their radius and they directly shot it through Kahlil's position. The wind tornado consumed the flames that turns it into a tornado of fire.
"NOOOO!"
An explosion of mana occured, the flames were all over the place, the wind tornado dissipated, and Kahlil's body dropped making it seem like Arthur, Uncle Martin and the rest of the soldiers, have finally defeated him.
