Katelyn held onto Lavi's hand tightly as she stared at her bandaged head.
"Kris... is her head okay?" She asked Lavi's older brother.
Kris turned over to look at Katelyn before his gaze fell back onto his sleeping sister. He felt a sort of heartache seeing her their. The last time he saw that he almost forced her out of the army because of her recklessness he was scared.
Lavi was the heart of their family. She had many choices yet she stubbornly got involved with something that could endanger her life. Even their parents couldn't stop her from joining.
'Brother... a friend once told me. Do what you want and choose how to control it.' Lavi's clear eyes told him.
'And who's that friend?' Andrew asked her and she smiled.
'Katelyn. Katelyn Evertine. My best friend!' She said proudly.
If anything, Kris knew that Katelyn was the main reason for Lavi moving forward from her previous heartbreak. Katelyn was a confident, brave and most of all passionate person when they first met her. Where ever she went she became a light that many followed.
And soon enough she brought out the light of Lavi who also grew up to be a amazing woman in the army.
"She'll be fine the doctor said it didn't hit any major part of her head. Don't worry about it." Kris said.
Kris has read the report and assured Katelyn one more time before stepping out if the room, with Adan trailing behind him.
They both had many thoughts but Adan was currently circling around an acute interest in Lavi's friend and also Nathan's girlfriend.
He was most curious about what the Nickson family was hiding about Katelyn since their conversation earlier was a bit mysterious. What exactly is wrong with this woman?
'Don't say that when you are also hurting!' Is what Mrs.Nickson.
Adan paused his steps and looked out the window of the hospital hallway.
Does Nathan know about this? Or is he still in the dark?
Prying wasn't exactly his thing unless he was order to. But since this involved a friend he might as well look into it. And his answers..

He looked at Kris and thought about how he should ask him without being obvious.
He knew Kris and Andrew for a long time as both their family's were heavily connected to the military. But they were friends that shared many things similar things. But out of the three of them only he and Kris stayed the most connected to the 12 families. As heirs and representatives of their family at such meetings.
The 12 families were the ones that held power over society. Both his family and Kris family were apart of this long time group of higher class people. But he never enjoyed it one bit.

The ringing of his phone broke his thought process and he picked up the phone right away.
"Sir, it seems like Sergeant Lavi offended a group from the underworld. Earlier she had saved a girl in front of Red Chess and reported to the police. But later on a group of men entered the bar and cornered Sergeant in the woman's bathroom. They were related to the group that was arrested that day. The men here said it was on their Boss's orders that they only needed to bring Sergeant to their Boss. They said that she shouldn't have touched them."
Adan hummed in acknowledgement and said a few things on the phone before ending the call and heading back to the room were the two woman were at.
That was when he caught the of a familiar doctor doing his rounds.
"Eli!!" Adan called out to the busy man who was talking to a nurse.
Eli felt his back stiffen and he turned around and saw someone he dreaded. He didn't even hid how annoyed he felt.
"What are you here? Did you get hurt again? How come you didn't die yet?" Eli said reading the report.
He felt a heavy weight on his shoulder and saw the military man acting again.
"Eli, you are the only one who curses me to die early. Don't you love seeing me in the hospital? So why are you telling me to die?" Adan playfully asked.
Eli rolled his eyes at the man who was changing faster than a book flipping its pages. "Why are you here? If your not hurt then someone else is? I also heard the Nickson family is here? Did Kris or Andrew get hurt?"
"Nope, the one who got hurt was the little princess. Right now she in the room with her friend watching her. I'm just about to return to check in them until I found you."
Eli shuddered and tried to push off the heavy arm that held down his shoulder. "Now I see why your single. It's cause you keep on clinging to guys and many people think your bent. Worry but I still have interest in the other sex. So stay a meter away from me!"
"Eli. I just noticed that you've become a bit rude as time past. Tell me who was the one who corrupted you and I'll go deal with them right away." Adan refuses to move and the poor boy continued to be bullied by the hands of Adan.
"Brute!! No way!! I'm busy!! Go take another man!!" Eli escaped the clutches of the devil man and speed down the hallway to avoid the walking brute.
Eli shedded invisible tears as he couldn't do anything as these group of men were way older and strong than him. He been bullied for so long that know he wanted to avoid them!
