to all of you expecting our hero to suddenly unlock hidden powers and defeat these knights within mere seconds...SIKE!
in fact, what actually happened was far more satisfying to the mage who was writing the tale of the 'great' hero who managed to defeat all seven dukes of death...
marv looked to his right to see the origin of the voice...four humans emerged from the forest, clad in heavy iron armour with claymore swords strapped to their waists...their chest plates had emblems of a large broadsword together with a bookcrossing each other...
but marv's focus was on something else...each of these supposed knights was women and beauties at that...despite many beliefs...not everyone liked beauties
marv didn't like this predicament one-bit cause as he looked at the women he felt that something was never gonna come out of this no matter how well he explained it...this was because, in many novels that marv happened to find in his study room, female knights more or less had an overbearing attitude of belittling all men and thinking that any suspicious man was thinking dirty thoughts...this was especially true if the knight was a beauty and sometimes it even went as far as execution of innocent men...
dammit...
this was the only word marv had as he looked towards the women knights...he was not sexist but he couldn't hold the look of disdain on his face...for some reason this made all the knights unsheathe their swords
{why do they always do that...}
marv felt even more in danger now...he hurriedly tried to get up on his feet and tried to explain his situation
"umm...excuse me, I can assure you I'm not a criminal-"
"liar he obviously looks like he wants to do a crime, as a knight, we should maintain peace and order within the territory of the arcane city"
this was the voice of the most beautiful of the knights, she had long wavy yellow hair passing her shoulders, her eyes were a deep-sea blue, her slightly tanned yet alluring...
(mage writer: this is what the hero told me to write about his story, I don't know how the skin is alluring tho -_-)
just one look at her immediately made marv think of a potential tsundere holding her feelings until the protagonist died without hearing her admit it... marv hated this kind of knights especially cause they always brought trouble no matter how cute they were.
unfortunately, it seemed that she was the knight captain and without hesitation, the other knights attempted to capture marv however to their surprise a lightning bolt struck the distance between the knights and marv...suddenly there was a towering two-metre blue wolf standing in front of marv like a sort of guardian...
the wolf let out its strange roar? or howl? whatever it was it made the knights stop in their tracks and hesitate...however marv was inwardly rejoicing over making the choice to stick with the wolf...
"excuse me but may I ask as to what you lot are attempting?..."
it seemed that talking wolves weren't as common as marv had originally thought cause upon hearing the wolf's thunderous voice the knights opened their eyes in bewilderment however it seemed that the knight captain was unfazed and slowly approached the wolf
"yo paru...long time no see"
"oh is it Masha? yes it indeed has been a long time"
the conversation between the wolf and the knight captain left marv in astonishment...he just couldn't wrap his head around the situation and norm of this world
"paru ill have to ask you to step aside so that we can capture the man behind and take him to the arcane city for questioning on his identity and purpose in the mythic forests"
now you would be expecting the wolf to have a rational mind on the matter and ask for a good reason for the knights' reason for capturing this human...BUT NO!
"oh..if that's the case feel free to take him I won't stop it if the one requesting was lady Masha herself"
with this, the wolf stepped aside and even went to the pond for a drink like as if no longer mattered to him...
now this was the last straw for marv and anger grew within his heart at god and all the fictional novel writers for allowing such a cliche situation to exist
{not only is she a knight...but apparently she has some type of status...nobles always have an attitude about the protagonist but when it comes to noblewomen knights...no I just don't wanna say it}
marv had this conversation as he was escorted by the knights out of the forest to a wide road that led to a large city in the distant...marv held his breath as he looked at the spectacular city in the distance...it was beautiful with a large wall surrounding it for what seemed like miles...he couldn't see past the wall but at a higher point than the tall city walls he could see six towers of what seemed like a giant castle...
{great just great...}.
