---
"Ok." Blue took a deep breath and calmed down.
They stepped through the fancy large doors and opened into an elegant waiting room with windows that looked into the other eating rooms. Coconut and Blue stepped up to the fancily dressed man at a podium in front of them. He had a thin black greased up mustache, Blue thought looked like an ugly caterpillar sitting on his lips. He looked both Blue and Coconut up and down smugly. "I'm sorry, but do you two have a reservation?"
Blue was feeling lightheaded.
---
Coconut rolled his eyes. "Actually, yes, we do."
---
"Is that so?" The man flipped through a book, looking up at Coconut skeptically. "What's it under?"
---
"Yuno Alpine," Coconut said confidently.
---
The grossly refined man looked surprised when he found the name in the restaurant's reservations. He looked up. "I apologize, but I insist you show me your license for confirmation."
---
"Fine." Coconut grabbed his wallet from his pocket and pulled out his license, practically shoving it in the man's face.
---
The man adjusted his glasses and squinted. Then shrugged. "My mistake. It seems everything is in order. Right this way please, to our dining rooms reserved for top-class."
Blue nervously sweated and bit the inside of his cheek. Worry was clearly written all over his face as they passed by tables of people giving them odd looks. He was gripping Coconut's arm so tightly that his nails dug into his skin.
---
Coconut rubbed Blue's side comfortingly. "Don't be so self-conscious, Angel. Their opinions don't matter."
---
Blue was instantly filled with a sense of relief. The annoying dude led them into a dimly lit room with candles on each of the tables. Which, there were only few and were all occupied considering it being a Saturday night. They were seated at a table with just two seats across each other. The man left them saying he would send a waiter right away.
Blue admired the pretty things laid before them on the table, touching the gleaming silver knives and forks with curious eyes.
---
Coconut chuckled at Blue's awe. "I'm assuming you've never been to a place like this."
---
Blue looked up at him in embarrassment. "Um. No. Definitely not." Blue put down the fork he had been looking at and then traced the ornate engravings in the silver candlestick holder. "My parents took me to restaurants to eat for my birthdays sometimes but none of them were anywhere near as...expensive as this."
---
"Is it okay?" Coconut asked, wanting to know if Blue felt comfortable.
---
Blue looked up at him, shocked he would say that. "Okay? Co-" Blue looked around. "How could you say that? This is more than okay." He said quietly and then tapped his fingers on the table with an awkward smile.
---
"Good." Coconut smiled and reached across the table to rest his hand on Blue's. "And if you like calling me Coconut, you can do it in public. I don't mind if it's you."
---
Blue blushed and smiled. "Alright. But the same does not go for you calling me Angel." Blue raised an eyebrow.
---
"Sorry, but I can't do that, Angel," Coconut smirked. "I know you like it, so why deny it?"
---
Blue's smile stayed but his eyes became stern. "You really don't think that isn't the slightest bit embarrassing to be called around other people? Which reminds me-" he was suddenly annoyed with him yet again. "You were way too grabby with me around Coal."
---
Coconut leaned back and shrugged. "I was just showing him that you were off limits."
---
Blue scoffed. "Well, you did a mighty fine job at that." Blue stood from the table. "I'm going to use the restroom. Excuse me."
---
Coconut couldn't tell if Blue actually needed to go or if he was using that as an excuse. "Alright."
---
Once Blue left the room, he honestly had to go but when he searched for a bathroom, he couldn't find one. "Um, excuse me." He said to a waitress as she was passing by with a tray of gorgeous steaming lobster. She raised her eyebrows at him, looking appalled when she saw what he was wearing, and then her eyes rested on the necklace in bafflement. "Yes, sir?"
"Uh, I'm looking for the restroom?"
She told him how to get there and Blue thanked her.
---
Coconut was just sitting in his seat on his phone looking through texts when a boy around his age, maybe a little younger, walked up to his table with a girl hanging off his arm. Coconut paid him no mind, immediately deducing him as a spoiled brat.
Spoiled Brat scoffed indignantly and gave a look of disgust. "What is a commoner like you doing here? I think the staff let you in by mistake."
Coconut didn't look up from his phone, too busy reading an important email from the vice president of his company. Apparently some idiot was watching boop and a virus infected his computer. Now every speaker in the goddamned building was blasting whale noises, full volume. "Yeah…" Coconut muttered in response, his eyebrows furrowing even more as he continued reading the email. As it turns out, the same guy somehow let a flock of ducks inside and now they were causing a huge ruckus. Long story short, Coconut's company building was blasting the noises of the largest animal on earth while ducks flew around biting and hitting people.
"Excuse me, peasant? Are you ignoring me?! I'll have you know that I am the son of-" Spoiled Brat's spoiled monologue was cut short.
Coconut looked up at him boredly. "I don't care who you are. Get out of my face. I have more important things to do."
Spoiled Brat gasped as if he was attacked. "How dare you?!"
Coconut rolled his eyes.
---
After Blue used the bathroom and washed his face, he was repulsed by himself. As he left the bathroom, there was a woman who left the ladies room just as he left the gentleman's. She was dabbing make up on her face on her way out.
"Excuse me!" His hushed voice was urgent and he ran to her.
She looked up surprised.
Blue politely asked, "do you mind if I could borrow that just for- uh-" he was embarrassed to admit what it was for so he lied. "Um. To cover pimples?"
The middle-aged woman thought the request was strange but she gave him an extra bottle she had and nicely told him he could keep it.
"Thank you!" He sighed with gratitude and then hurried back into the gentleman's room. He opened the container and dabbed the puffy cotton ball into it and onto his collarbone, hiding the hickeys from view.
Just as Blue was finishing up, a man maybe two years older than him flushed and left a stall. Blue looked at him in the mirror and then quickly away, with a mad blush- hoping he didn't notice what he was doing. Blue quickly wrapped up the makeup items and stuffed them in his pocket, washing his hands from the makeup.
The man raised his eyebrows and then chuckled. "Girls give you trouble, I take?" He washed his hands in the sink next to him.
Blue glanced at him and then hurriedly dried his shaking hands. "It's...not the girls I have trouble with." Blue said quickly and then rushed out.
When he entered the rich room and approached the table, he was surprised to see someone heckling his boyfriend.
---
Coconut looked up again and when he saw Blue his face lit up. "Angel!"
Spoiled Brat gave an offended look at him, displeased with this commoner ignoring him but getting excited at the mere sight of another commoner. "Oh, look. It's another lowly peasant." Then spotting the expensive necklace Blue was wearing around his neck, his eyes widened and he nearly yelled, "Where did you get that?!"
Coconut sweatdropped. Whoops, he thought in the back of his mind.
---
Blue's face flared, but not in embarrassment- in anger. He was sick of being afraid of these pompous, pea-brained peacocks. "Excuse me?" He raised an angry eyebrow, his face forming into a death glare.
---
"He got it from me," Coconut answered for Blue.
Spoiled Brat turned to look at him. "You? How in the world were you able to get that necklace?"
Coconut sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I bought it a while back from a museum or something."
"How can you be so calm about it? That's the Hope Diamond!" Spoiled Brat spat. "There's no way you could have bought it! It's worth more than 300 million!"
Coconut gave Spoiled Brat the same response he gave Blue earlier. "And?" Coconut got tired of the kid's crap and crossed his arms. "Just leave us alone. Take your cake-faced, bimbo leech and your pompous prince ass and get out of here. Shoo."
Spoiled Brat's face turned bright red and he stomped off with his girl or whatever she was.
---
Blue was stuttering when he sat down. "Th-th-three," He could hardly form the words. "-Hundred..M-" He was staring at Coconut as if the snobbish, rich kid spoke blasphemy.
---
"300 million… yes," Coconut sighed. "I would've told you earlier but I knew you would freak out. I apologize."
---
Blue delicately took the necklace off. "Don't apologize to me, I should be apologizing to you. This belongs in a museum, Coconut. It's freaking Egyptian or something, isn't it?" He laid it on the silky white table cloth.
A waitress- apparently their waitress finally arrived despite what the man from before said about her appearing much earlier. She cleared her throat and smiled widely. "Please excuse me for the wait. May I serve your drinks now?"
---
"Mm, yes. We'll just have some wine, that's all."
---
She scribbled something on her notepad. "Just wine? Are you sure you wouldn't like to look at our large variety of specialized types?"
"Oh, actually I am interested in that…" Blue said sheepishly.
---
Coconut looked over at him and smiled. "Whatever he says."
---
The waitress recited a very well memorized long list of wine drinks, even remembering to go into detail about the types of spices added on the ones Blue asked about. He looked as if he were listening to her talk about the rarest gems in the world.
"I think I'll have the pinot noir red wine." Blue laced his fingers together and rested his head on his chin.
"Good choice. And for you?" She looked at Coconut.
---
"Same thing as him."
---
She scribbled that down and then left. Blue broke from his daze and then looked concerned. "Was that guy giving you a hard time? He seemed like a jerk." Referring to the dude from earlier.
---
Coconut shook his head. "I wasn't paying attention to him." Coconut reached for the necklace that was still lying on the table and leaned over towards Blue, once again fastening the beautiful piece of jewelry around his neck. "And I much rather you be wearing this necklace, not collecting dust in a museum."
---
Blue blushed and smiled thinly. "You're flattery never ceases to amaze me."
---
Coconut only smiled back at him. "Good. I love how you blush."
---
Of course, this only caused Blue's blush to rapidly increase, and so he covered his face with a hand, smiling widely in embarrassment. "Either shut up or change the topic before I turn into a tomato."
---
"You're already a tomato."
---
Blue lifted his menu to hide behind it. "What are you ordering?" He cleared his throat, desperately trying to destroy his smile and eradicate the giggles threatening to explode from him. I swear he makes me feel like a twelve-year-old girl who's on a date with her celebrity crush, he muttered in his head.
---
Coconut smirked and leaned forward on his hand. "Well… I'd like a nice serving of you, but I doubt this restaurant has such a fine meal." Coconut licked his lips. "So I'll just settle for some steak instead."
---
Blue ducked behind the menu he set up to act as a wall between them and then kicked Coconut with his leg from beneath the table.
---
Coconut only managed to look even more smug. "You'll have to try a little harder than that, love. I play soccer and I do kickboxing."
---
Blue perked, completely curious now. He lowered the menu and his head shot upwards. "Kickboxing?" He was impressed. "I don't know anyone who does that. Is that how you-" he thought about the soccer game and the amazing move he pulled. "Is that how you did that thing during the game? Well, I mean, it just looked like something that would- never mind. It's no wonder you're good at soccer if you're a kickboxer." He cleared his throat- embarrassed about his rave and hid behind the menu again. He hoped Coconut couldn't see what an obviously inexperienced date he was. Blue restrained from slapping himself.
---
Coconut chuckled. "You're adorable, Angel. Yes, that is how I was able to do that move at the soccer game. And thanks, I appreciate the compliment coming from you."
---
Blue covered his mouth, suppressing the overwhelming butterflies stretching his chest full. He searched the menu for something that was appealing but all that he could stare at was the prices. They were ridiculous. "I'll just have whatever you're having. Steak sounds good to me too." He folded the menu and set it down.
---
Coconut smiled. "Alright. So… what do you want to talk about?"
---
Blue inspected Coconut's face as he thought, taking this as an opportunity to stare at him. "How come your middle name is Coconut? Surely there has to be a reason behind that." He interlocked his hands again, resting his chin on the bridge of his knuckles again.
---
"Ah…" Coconut said looking away and rubbing his neck. "It was my real mother's favorite food. My real father let her choose it as my middle name…"
---
"Is it a sensitive topic? Sorry. Just curious about such an adorable name." He tried to disguise his flirt by speaking casually but somehow it backfired and made himself flustered.
---
"Thanks, Angel. And you don't have to apologize, you didn't know."
---
"What's Blaize like as a brother? Did you live with him at all?"
---
"Yeah. When his mother first married and moved in, we got to know each other. We mostly bonded because of our older brother but Blaize was a good kid. I guess. But we had a falling out when Blaize blamed me for our brother's death. It was my fault though, so I let him blame me, and we just kept fighting. You know how we are now."
---
Blue was surprised about how blatantly he described such a tragic story. "Y-Your fault?" Blue couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Surely it wasn't." He felt like he shouldn't push things but he couldn't let that go unsaid.
---
"Ah. But it was. He took a bullet for me. Literally. If I hadn't gotten myself into trouble, he'd still be alive."
---
Blue only stared at him in shock. He closed his half-way open mouth. His eyes were only full of sadness which he hoped Coconut wouldn't mistake for pity. "I don't know what to say but...if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'll listen."
---
"I know. And I'm very grateful for that." Coconut smiled and ran his fingers through Blue hair lovingly. When he leaned back in his chair he crossed his arms. "So, how about you? How was your childhood?"
---
"Uum. I'd say it was no different than the average suburb middle-class-living gay kid. My parents are religious and they don't accept people like us. Somehow- it's a miracle- they never found out about my true identity. They don't know the real me, they just think I'm a little late. Since highschool, they've thought I've just been so busy with schoolwork that I haven't dated any girls. Well, until now. They met Char just a couple months ago before school and they think I like her. I told them that so they wouldn't be suspicious." He watched his hands fiddle with the white napkin cloth.
---
"Are you ever going to come out to them?" Coconut asked softly. "If you decide to and they don't accept you, you have me, the band, and my dad if you ever want to talk. Most of us are LGBTQ, so you won't have to worry about that with us."
---
"Yeah I sort of got that vibe from you guys-" he smiled. "the band I mean. Rivet and Alex couldn't be more obvious, not to mention I'm pretty sure Char and Jackie are gonna be a thing soon. Which reminds me, I have no clue what happened to her."
---
"Well, neither do I. We'll find out later at the boxing match." Coconut perked up. "Which reminds me… I may or may not have challenged the champion of this boxing arena…"
---
Blue's mouth dropped. "You what-"
The waitress interrupted him. "Here are your drinks." She set them down, Blue thanked her but didn't take his eyes off of Coconut. He was conflicted between attraction and worry. "Can I get you two anything to eat?" She pulled out her pen and notepad.
---
"Just two steaks."
---
"Medium? Rare? Well-done? Any spices? Sauce?"
"What sauces do you have? Medium please." Blue was distracted from what they were talking about for the moment.
The waitress again recited a long list of spices and sauces to compliment the meal, and Blue chose a couple then she asked Coconut the specifics of his steak.
---
"Same as him," Coconut said, too lazy to try and decide which steak he wanted. He just wanted a normal steak. Was that too much to ask for?
---
The waitress sighed. "Okay, that makes things easy." Then she left them be.
Blue was smiling at her as she left. "Well she's delightful, isn't she? Definitely someone who deserves to be tipped. How much do you think I should leave her?" When he looked back at Yuno, he changed the topic to the previous one. "You challenged a pro boxer?!"
---
"Well… yeah. He was talking shit about my college, okay? Said we were all just rich kids with no talent." Coconut huffed.
---
Blue's attraction toward Coconut was increasing by the second, but he didn't forget about his concern. "Coconut, you could be seriously injured." Blue leaned forward and tapped his finger on the table, trying to make him see the importance of the decision he made. "Scratch that could, you will get injured." His eyes were wide while he stared at Coconut's face and his mind flashed an image of his beautiful face with a black eye. "I understand you want to stick up for your school, but you're putting yourself on the line."
---
Coconut leaned forward and put his hand on Blue's cheek. "Have a little more faith in me, Angel. He isn't nearly as good as people think he is, I've seen him fight. And do you think I haven't been injured before? How do you think I got all of my scars?" He chuckled and slid his hand down to Blue's neck. "I'll be fine. Nothing too serious will happen." Coconut pulled his hand away but noticed an odd substance on his hand. He looked at Blue's neck and his brow furrowed when he saw that the places where there had been hickeys were now covered with the wrong shade of foundation. "Are you wearing makeup?"
---
Blue tugged upward on his shirt collar. "Yes. I borrowed some from a nice lady. Anyway, Coconut. It only bothers me more that you have so many scars. I've seen them, and they looked serious. If anything happens to you, the consequences will be severe."
---
"My scars aren't serious. Some of them nearly killed me in the past but they all healed. The newest life-threatening one was from that wreck a few months ago but even it's completely healed. You don't have to be so worried. I'm not made of glass. Nowhere close." Coconut smiled reassuringly.
---
Blue's eyes bugged again. "What?" Blue shook his head and put his head in his hands and ran them up his head. "Coconut, you're only making your case worse. Stop telling me about each of your life-threatening scars if you don't want me to be worried." He looked up at him through his fingers. "I care about you, dammit." He said softly.
---
Coconut couldn't help but smile. "I'm just saying Angel… after all the times I've nearly died, a few punches isn't going to kill me." Coconut reached and took both of Blue's hands in his own. "I promise."
---
Blue looked at him like he was his everything. "Coconut, don't do this please. I don't want to see your handsome face punched in." He was deathly serious. Scared.
---
"My handsome face, huh?" Coconut teased. "Stop worrying. I'm confident in myself, so why can't you be confident in me too?"
---
A flicker of hope lit inside of Blue. "Well, I guess you're right. I haven't seen you box yet so maybe you do stand a chance against this guy…" Then he looked to be lost in thought for a minute as he remembered something. "Actually, since i've met you, you haven't lost a fight yet." Blue looked at him for a long time and then blushed. "So long as you promise me you won't ruin your handsome face, then I'll have faith in you."
---
"I'm afraid I can't promise you that, Angel. But I can promise you that I'll beat this guy's ass into the ground if he "ruins my handsome face.""
---
Blue lifted his leg and rubbed it against his. "You keep finding ways to make me more and more attracted to you."
---
Coconut smirked. "I can't say the same for myself though. I think I'm already as attracted to you as I can get." He bit his lip while looking Blue up and down.
---
Blue kicked him again, blushing brighter.
The waitress carried their platters with expert balance and set them down gracefully. "Here you are. I'll leave a pair of lovebirds like you to enjoy your meals in peace. Don't be afraid to raise your hand and call a waiter if you need anything." And with that, she was gone.
---
"I'm definitely leaving a tip for her. Not a lot of people are so tolerant in public." Coconut smiled. "Anyway, shall we eat?"
---
"Way ahead of you." Blue cut into his steak with a knife and fork.
---
Coconut chuckled and followed suit. As he took his first bite he hummed a little. After swallowing he said, "It's not bad."
---
Blue made a sound of amusement. "I can't believe you. We're at a five star restaurant and you say it isn't bad." He caught Coconut's eye as he slowly slid the piece of meat off the prongs of the fork. Then he rolled his eyes back. "God, that's delicious." He whispered and continued cutting.
---
Coconut watched the slightly provocative action closely until he looked back down at his food and went quiet.
---
Halfway through their meal, Blue was sneaking peeks at Coconut. He finally said while looking up at him and smiling lazily, "Did I tell you how impressed I was after watching you play soccer?" Beneath the table, Blue used one foot to kick a shoe off. "I can't begin to imagine how much that would pay off in bed." Blue raised his leg and prodded Coconut from between his legs. Because of the length of the table cloth, no one was able to see what was happening. "It was a pleasure watching you sweat so much, I couldn't take my eyes off of you."
---
Coconut nearly choked on the piece of steak he was chewing. "Y-Yeah?"
---
"Mhm." Blue leaned his head on his hand and watched Yuno struggle. "It'll be very interesting to see what happens when the time comes because like you said, you're a top. So you don't like it when I do things like this? Do you?" Blue massaged Coconut with his toes.
---
"It… it feels good… I'm not denying it... j-just… don't think you'll top," Coconut tried to conceal his heavy breathing so the people around them wouldn't realize what was going on below the table cloth.
---
"Oh really? Why is that?" He added an intimidating edge to his tone and his foot's caressing increased.
---
Coconut steeled himself and leaned forward as well. "Which of us has more experience, may I remind you?"
---
Blue clenched his jaw and folded his arms, still leaning on the table. "Don't be so cocky." Blue's rubbing speed slowed, but the strength in his toes increased. "You think I'm easily going to submit to you? You think I'm going to moan and say," his voice turned seductive and he changed his expression to mimic an exaggerated face of pleasure as he smirked. "Oh, Coconut. Fuck me harder." He made sure his voice was only loud enough for him to hear which wasn't difficult with him being so close now. Blue happily moved his foot back and forth over his bulge.
---
"Shit," Coconut growled underneath his breath. He took a large breath and calmed himself. Then, smirking, he said, "No… you won't be able to do anything but scream while I pound you into the mattress…"
---
Blue, now equally hard, became embarrassed and kicked Coconut's crotch before his foot retreated into his shoe. He lifted his wine glass and took a dainty sip of that.
---
"Fuck!" Coconut whisper-yelled, curling over the table. He gave Blue a glare. "What was that for? It's not my fault you started something you couldn't finish!"
---
Blue choked and sputtered but then regained his composure, shooting him a scowl. "Watch your mouth, Coconut." He finished what was on his plate.
---
"Hmph." Coconut shifted and crossed his arms, his plate also empty.
---
After three glasses of wine, Blue was beginning to feel lightheaded and giggled as he poured a fourth cup.
---
Coconut took the glass from him. "No. Bad."
---
"Hey!" Blue reached for the glass.
---
Coconut moved it out of his reach. "No. You're drunk and you still have to come with me to the boxing match."
---
Blue gave him a pouty scowl and then checked the time. "We have like an hour til then." He grabbed Coconut's arm and with the other reached for the glass. "Pleeeeeease?"
---
"No! It will probably take you an hour to be sober again!" Coconut used his other hand to once again pull it out of Blue's reach.
---
Blue grumbled and let his arm drop. "You are no ffffffun Coconut." Blue grabbed his wine jug, about to down it.
---
"Absolutely not!" Coconut shouted, snatching it from his grasp as well.
---
"No!"
The waitress came back at that moment. "Are you two ready to call it a night? Oh dear, someone's a little tipsy." She grabbed the wine bottle Coconut handed to her and then gave them what was needed to fill out the check.
---
Coconut let out a relieved sigh. "Thanks." He took the check and filled it out before he left a large tip and stood up. "Come on, Angel, let's go."
---
Blue stood with him and smiled nicely at the lady before grabbing for the wine in her hands. She politely smiled back and stepped away from him.
---
"Blue!" Coconut took it back. "Stop it!"
---
"You can't tell me what to do!" He fell onto Coconut, wrapping his arms around his neck.
---
"Ack!" Coconut nearly spilled the wine but was able to put the glass back on the table and scoop Blue up into his arms. "That's enough! We're leaving."
---
"No! I like it here!" He yelled like a toddler but obliged.
---
Coconut smiled at the waitress. "Thank you, the meal was great. Have a nice night!" Then he scurried off with Blue in his arms.
---
Blue laughed as he was carried to the car. "Are we going to have sex now?"
---
"No. We're going to go for a little walk. Hopefully you're sober by the end…" Coconut muttered.
---
"That sounds romantic." Blue cooed.
---
"Mhm. Yeah." Coconut set Blue down on his feet and grabbed his hand. "I just don't know how you got drunk from a few glasses of wine…"
---
"I'm not drunk…" Blue giggled and ran his finger down Coconut's nose.
---
"Yes. Yes, you are."
---
"Hmm, no?" Then he demanded. "Open the door for me, my handsome chauffeur!"
---
Coconut rolled his eyes and opened the door.
---
Blue patted his cheek. "How charming." Then he fell onto his seat and closed the door himself.
----
Coconut shook his head and walked over to his side of the car and also got into, starting the engine and then heading back to the street where they had been earlier.
---
Blue smelled each and every rose one at a time while singing billy joel lyrics quietly. "Yesterday you were an only child...now your ghosts have gone away…"
---
Coconut just watched Blue as he pulled over to park. "Let's go for a walk now…"
---
Blue stepped out of the car and wobbled onto the sidewalk, smiling.
---
Coconut chuckled and got out after him, walking up to him and wrapping an arm around his waist to make sure he wouldn't topple over.
---
Blue curled the arm closest to Coconut around his waist and smiled at him. "I'm really not that drunk."
---
"Mhm." Coconut just leaned down and kissed the top of his head. "Sure."
---
Blue pointed to a cupcake shop ahead. "Can we have dessert?"
---
"Of course, Angel."
---
When they entered the cupcake shop, Blue was a little spacey as he looked around with a lopsided smile.
"Hi, what can I get you?" A young boy who looked to be in high school asked politely but shyly as he looked at Blue's strange behavior with worried eyes.
---
"I'd like a normal chocolate cupcake. How about you, Angel?" He asked Blue.
---
"Vanilla strawberry." He cleared his throat and then his face reddened as if he was trying to hold in a burst of giggles.
"Okay…" He served them what they ordered, giving Blue an odd look.
---
"Thanks," Coconut said with a smile handing the boy the money he owed.
---
Blue grabbed his cupcake and ate the strawberry off the top. Then he grabbed Coconut's arm and ran with him out of the shop.
---
Coconut pulled back softly. "Blue, slow down."
---
"I can't. I'm too excited." Once outside the shop, he pressed his hip into Coconut's side again and walked alongside of him as he peeled off his cupcake's wrapper and bit into it. The evening air was perfect for a walk down a street of little shops so there were lots of other couples walking just as closely as Blue and Coconut were. There were strings of lights lining the verandas of shops and the railing of the black iron fence along the road.
----
Coconut chuckled and took the wrapper off of his cupcake and took a bite of it, watching Blue's drunk personality fondly.
---
"Don't you like vanilla?" Blue turned on him while licking the frosting off his cupcake and walked forward, making Coconut back up against the railing.
---
"Um... I mean I don't mind it."
---
"But which do you like more?" He tilted his head with an honestly curious/interested face as he bit into his cupcake again. The space between them was decreasing.
---
"Well, I got chocolate, so I guess that?" Coconut was less focused on the question and more on Blue.
---
Blue pouted. "Wrong answer." He shoved his half-eaten cupcake in Coconut's mouth. "Vanilla is better."
---
Coconut deadpanned but ate the cupcake without complaint. "I'll keep my own opinions thanks," he mumbled after swallowing.
---
Blue giggled and then pressed his forehead against his, their noses touching for a second before Blue jumped away and continued walking down the street, looking up at the lights.
---
Coconut rolled his eyes but smiled and followed Blue after throwing away the rest of his cupcake, no longer hungry.
---
There was a man playing an acoustic guitar and singing farther up the street. Blue grabbed Coconut's hand and rushed through the gathering crowd to watch him play. After his song he smiled and thanked the crowd for their applause and the money a few gave him. "Wow, he was pretty good." Blue said to Coconut.
----
Coconut chuckled. "Yeah, he was. I don't know if I would be able to beat that."
---
"Can you play guitar?" Blue tugged on his shirt toward one of the smaller trinket shops people were filtering in and out of.
---
"I can, why?" Coconut asked, following behind the still probably-tipsy boy.
---
"You can?" He turned around again, looking surprised. "You should play me a song." Blue romantically smiled and wrapped his arms around Coconut's neck again like at the restaurant. They were standing right in the entrance of the shop, blocking the flow of people.
---
"Well, I would, but I don't have my guitar with me," Coconut said sheepishly, pulling Blue out of the way.
---
"Coconut…" He chuckled. "You aren't behaving like yourself. Why so awkward?" They were inside the shop now. Blue leaned in to kiss him, pushing him against the display window.
---
Coconut scoffed but kissed Blue back, parting after only a few seconds. "Well, for one, you're drunk. And I might be a tiny bit drunk too. I get mushy." Coconut shivered in disgust, remembering embarrassing memories from when he found out he was an emotional drunk.
---
"Awww, that's so cute." Blue patted his cheek again and then stepped away from him, getting distracted by the keychains and small pieces of jewelry.
----
Coconut let him look at them, watching to see which ones he seemed interested in.
---
Blue wandered around, touching and looking. Then a section of bracelets caught his eye. Blue picked up a black leather bracelet with a giant blue dragon eye in the middle of it. It was sort of creepy but cool at the same time.
---
Coconut saw him pick up a bracelet and examine it. "Do you want that one?" Coconut asked, coming up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist and his chin on his shoulder.
---
Blue slipped it on his wrist. "Yeah. It's cool." He retrieved his wallet from his back pocket and broke from Coconut's hold, seeming to ignore him completely and then walked toward the counter and waited in line behind a couple of highschool girls.
---
Coconut frowned but trotted after him. "That was cold," he whined.
---
Blue looked up at him as he fiddled with his wallet and then asked dumbly, "What is? I think it's rather stuffy in here, actually. Maybe I should take off my shirt?"
---
"What? No!"
---
Blue started to. He grabbed the ends of his shirt and lifted his arms above his head. He attracted the attention of several nearby people. The girls in front of them giggled.
---
Coconut jerked in shock. "Blue! What the fuck?!" He grabbed his shirt and started wrestling with Blue to shove it back down.
---
Blue fought back and in their hassle, they bumped into a jewelry stand that dangerously tilted, almost toppling over. Blue finally gave in and pulled his shirt down. "Alright, alright."
---
"Thank you." Coconut rubbed a hand over his face. "God, I'm never getting you drunk again."
---
"You break it, you by it." The twenty-something girl behind the counter said sternly. It was Blue's turn to pay so he took the bracelet off and set it on the counter. "That's 2.99," she said. Blue shuffled through his wallet and handed her a fifty dollar bill. "Uh, sir."
----
Coconut groaned. "Just let me pay." He pushed past Blue and sifted through his wallet for a second before handing her a five dollar bill.
---
"No! You always do it. I want to pay."
---
Coconut rolled his eyes. "Here." He gave Blue the money.
---
Blue smiled and handed the money to the lady at the counter.
The lady looked confused, but only shook her head and then handed back the change to Blue which Blue gave to Coconut.
---
"Alright, Angel, you've caused enough trouble. We're leaving." Coconut grabbed Blue's wrist in a firm grip, pulling him out of the store.
---
Once out of the store, Blue was smiling widely. "I think I'm sober now." As they were passing a drug store where wine was being taste tested Blue ran toward the entrance with a big gasp. "Let's go in there!"
---
"Hell no." Coconut yanked Blue back towards him with the hold he had on his wrist. "We're going this way. I think I know a place you'll like."
---
"Fine, Blaize. Whatever you want."
---
"What?" Coconut asked.
---
"What?" Blue mimicked. "I understand, you're feeling horny so we'll do what you need to do first."
---
"H-Huh? I-I'm not Blaize, Angel." He looked at him with a hurt expression.
---
Confusion flashed over Blue's face for a second. "Oh, sorry, Coconut. My bad. Where are we going?"
---
Coconut felt guilt wash over him. He must have said or done something that Blaize would have done. Relaxing his grip on Blue's wrist, Coconut instead held his hand gently and said, "It's a secret, love."
---
Blue giggled. "You have secrets? I want to know all of them."
---
"Not right now." Coconut pulled them off the road and into a small, quiet park where he led them up a little hill and sat down, pulling Blue with him. "This is it."
---
Blue looked around at the fireflies twinkling and lazily floating past them, then at the sunset in front of them, sinking behind the buildings of the city. "Well, honestly I'm a little disappointed, I was hoping your secrets would be a little dirtier than this." He leaned on his shoulder, a little bit of the real Blue peeking into his words.
----
Coconut frowned. "I just wanted to show you this place. I think it's pretty." Coconut looked at the sunset. "But my secrets… I'll never tell anyone about them. Not even you, Angel. They're awful and they would change your opinion of me forever… and I can't even imagine what that would be like."
---
Blue snorted. "I was only joking. I love this place. And Coconut, I don't think you can change my opinion about you. Even if you like, murdered someone or something, I don't think it would scare me off." Blue lifted his face to look at him, putting his hand on top of his. "Your actions around me are enough for me to judge you and I think...You're more than alright."
---
"Thanks, Angel." Coconut smiled and kissed him before he stood up. "Wait here for just a moment." He walked down the hill and slowly entered a small field with grass up to his waist. He swept his arm through the grass a few times and a swarm of fireflies floated up into the air, lighting up the entire park in yellow-green hues.
---
Blue gasped from where he sat and watched the bugs, waiting for Coconut. His arms on his knees.
---
Coconut did it a few more times until hundreds of lightning bugs were in the air. He walked back up the hill and plopped down next to Blue. "That's the real reason I brought you here."
---
Blue watched the lightning bugs silently while smiling for a minute or two.
---
"So… do you like it?" Coconut asked tentatively.
---
Blue turned to face him. "I love you, Coconut."
---
Coconut froze and panic flashed across his face. He was not expecting that big of an answer. "A-Are you drunk?"
---
He shook his head. "No, Coconut. I think about you. I dream about you. I care about you. And I want to spend my life with you. Well, now I just sound silly so maybe I am still drunk." He looked away.
---
"So when you're sober and you wake up with me tomorrow morning, you won't take it back?" Coconut asked, gently grabbing Blue's face.
---
Blue made an almost angry face. "I'll never take that back."
--
Coconut tackled Blue over and hovered over him, quickly pushing their lips together.
---
Blue kissed him back in fluid motions, not bothering to break for air. He wrapped his legs around Coconut's waist, wanting to be closer to him.
---
Coconut wrapped his arms around Blue and sat up on his knees, using his core strength to pull Blue with him. He fell backwards onto his back and situated Blue to be straddling him.
---
Blue grabbed his face while he kissed him hard, now laying on top of him. After a bit he pulled his head away from him with heavy breathing. "Coconut….do you love me?"
---
Coconut scoffed. "Was that kiss not enough of an answer? Of course I do."
---
Blue pressed his forehead against his and then kissed him deeply, wrapping his arms around him. As they kissed, Blue felt gravity pull him to the side, and before they knew it, they were rolling down the hill laughing.
---
When they reached the bottom, both smiling and laughing, Coconut once again pinned Blue to the ground. "So… now that we've tumbled down a hill… want to continue?"
---
"I would love to, but don't you have a boxing match you have to get to?" He raised an eyebrow, his arms around his neck.
---
"I'm sure I can afford to be a little late…" Coconut kissed Blue hard again.
---
Blue kissed him and then hummed his disagreement. "You're going to stand up a pro-boxer?"
---
"Not stand up… just surprise him a little…" Coconut continued his assault on Blue's mouth.
---
Blue's breathing quickened and he suddenly wanted to express his love for Coconut in a more intense form. "I guess you're unlucky I'm not drunk anymore because if I were, i'd be having sex with you right now."
---
"I'd rather you not be drunk when we have our first time together," Coconut said honestly.
---
Blue smirked. "Why? Because I'm a giddy little kid when I'm drunk?"
---
"No." Coconut kissed him softly and then gazed into his eyes. "I want you to remember it as a special night. Or remember it in general."
---
Blue grabbed his face and pulled it onto his own, kissing him again and again.
---
Coconut smiled and grabbed the back of Blue's head, pushing him closer so he could give him a longer kiss.
---
"Oooh, Coconut. You're very charming but seriously." Blue sat up, holding Coconut off of him. "We can't just roll around in the grass all night kissing."
---
"Fine," Coconut sighed, standing up and putting a hand out for Blue to grab. "We better hurry if we want to make it on time, I guess."
---
Blue grabbed his hand and stood only to fall against his chest again. "I hate it when you do that." He smiled.
---
"I guess I'm too strong for my own good," Coconut smirked.
---
"It's annoying." Blue tried to kiss him again.
---
Coconut turned his head. "Yeah…"
---
"Coconut…" Blue whined and grabbed his head, standing on his toes to kiss him.
---
Coconut grabbed Blue's hands and pulled his head away. "Stop," he said in a tired tone.
---
Shocked, Blue looked at him in confused anger. "What? What do you mean stop? I just confessed my feelings for you again and you don't want to kiss me?"
---
Coconut looked at him with conflicted emotions storming in his eyes. "You just… you start a make out session, but then you use the excuse that we have to go somewhere to stop it from going any further… What are you afraid of?"
---
Blue froze, his expressions included. Blue was speechless, he had hoped Coconut wouldn't notice him cutting things off every time. He nervously laughed, playing him off as if he was silly. "I am not afraid of anything, we just...always have somewhere to go…" His eyes flitted nervously away and turned around as well.
----
Coconut grabbed his arm and turned him back around. "No, you are. And I know you want it… but you always seem to stop yourself. Why?"
---
Blue's eyes stared back in fear, but again he denied what Coconut said. "I have to or else you're going to get caught up in it and make us late." He deadpanned.
---
Coconut frowned. "Stop lying to me, Blue. I might be oblivious, but I'm not stupid."
---
Blue looked away from him. "I'm not lying."
---
"Look me in the eyes and promise me you're telling the truth." Coconut stared at him challengingly.
---
Blue huffed but did as he asked, a light smile on his lips. "We're. Going. To be. Late."
----
"That's not what I asked."
---
Blue's smile disappeared and his face fell into something sadder. "I'm sorry, Coconut."
---
Coconut sighed and put a hand on Blue's cheek. "Don't apologize. Just… tell me what's wrong."
---
His eyebrows furrowed and his eyes were hateful. "I'm a coward, that's why. Now can we please just go?" He turned his face away from Coconut's touch.
---
"Blue. Stop." Coconut forced him to look at him. "I only want to help. Please, don't just bottle up your feelings inside it… it doesn't help. Trust me…" Coconut averted his eyes, feeling like a bit of a hypocrite.
---
"I told you, I'm a coward. Not about telling you things but about doing things with you. I'm afraid of what's to come if we go too far. There. That's it." He was still annoyed because of how embarrassed he was.
---
"What do you mean, what's to come?"
---
Blue's cheeks reddened and he huffed. "You know! What's to come…" He rolled his eyes. "Look, I guess we'll both find out together what that means when the time does come." Blue walked away. "Where are we going? Dammit." He turned back around.
---
Coconut rolled his eyes playfully. "We're walking to the boxing match, it's this way." Coconut grabbed Blue's hand and gently tugged him along. "And, if we do go farther than kissing, nothing's going to change, Angel. I can promise you that."
