Chapter 22 - My House My Rules.

"Don't you think you're being too harsh on Bella?" Mr. Stuart asked Heather.

"Harsh? No I'm not! You're spoiling her too much, and that is why she has a rotten attitude," Heather told her husband angrily as they sat in their little office within the restaurant.

"You know she doesn't have a rotten attitude. She is just having a hard time accepting herself the way she is," Mr. Stuart said with a sad frown.

"She is a very beautiful and intelligent young lady. What is so hard to accept about that? Why does she have to change that for something else?" Heather snapped at her husband before walking away from the office.

The previous evening Bella had been in a horrible mood after her failed interview and had remained in her room without joining them for dinner.

Ben had taken her dinner to her room, and she had eaten the entire food. She had even asked him for more and then continued with her sulking.

That morning she had woken up from sleep and had tiptoed into the kitchen to take cereals, unknowing to her that her mother had been watching her.

After eating, she had dumped the plate on the kitchen sink and returned to her room to sulk.

Heather had been very mad at her and had gone into her room to drag her out.

"When other people are having a mood swing or are reflecting on their life, they don't eat. But no, not you, Isabella Stuart. You want to stay locked up in your room all day, eating and doing nothing. You eat even more than every other person while you do nothing but sulk! I'm not going to have that disgusting attitude of yours today. Get out of your room this minute and go do the dishes!" She had yelled at Bella angrily, but Bella closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.

"I'll help her do the dishes," Ben offered but was immediately silenced by his mother's glare.

"I said I want you out of that room this minute, or I'm going to come in there and deal with you!" Heather threatened as she stormed into Bella's room.

Bella tried to open her eyes and peek, but her mother was already pulling her legs and dragging her off the bed.

"I'm feeling depressed and suicidal!" Bella screamed with false tears.

"Then I fear that I might just have to kill you before you kill yourself," Heather said as she kept pulling, making Bella fall off the bed.

"Ouch!" She cried when her elbow scraped against the floor.

"I'm going to leave this house and go far away from you," Bella cried angrily as she stood up and walked over to the kitchen, noisily washing the dishes.

"Leave! Who wants a confused daughter for a child?" Heather yelled at her.

Her parents had left for the restaurant while Ben tried to cheer her up, but she had simply returned to her room and resumed with her sulking. Ben had left for work after several failed attempts to cheer her up.

"You got someone already?" Dan asked incredulously the moment Richie called him.

Richie had been so excited about Ben's interest in the job and had immediately contacted Dan the moment he dropped Kat off at her office.

"Yes, I can only hope you would like him. Plus, he is a big fan of yours," Richie responded with a smile.

"He is? I always knew I could count on you. I'll like to see him at my office first thing tomorrow morning," Dan said with a satisfied smile.

"I'm sure he will be more than happy to meet you. I'll ask him to see you tomorrow when I receive a call from him. I have to get back to work now. See you when we see," Richie said, reciting their slogan.

"See you when we see," Dan responded cheerfully before disconnecting the call.

He had to prepare the contract agreement details and set the rules between himself and his new personal assistant, whoever the guy was. What was he going to state as his house rules? Dan asked himself as he started typing out the rules.

**My House My Rules**

No snooping around his property was definitely number one.

No visitors are allowed in his home.

No crossing to his side of the house unless he was called upon.

No indulging in unnecessary conversations which were unrelated to work.

No drinking on duty was definitely going to be there.

No noise making, such as playing loud music.

His personal assistant wasn't permitted to go to bed before him.

His personal assistant wasn't permitted to talk to any news agency or paparazzi about him.

Dan looked at his laptop screen to see how much he had typed out already. He would have to add some other details to it after a thoughtful consideration, Dan decided.
