Chapter 2 - library rendezvous

As Emma and Alexis enter the library they head straight for the science section. Emma immediately picked up a constellation book and awaited Jeremys arrival. "What's your favorite constellation?" Emma heard a voice say from behind her, "Mines this one," the figure from behind her points to the pisces constellation. Emma turns to find a smiling Jeremy looking at her. "Oh hey Jeremy. Alexis should be right back she went to find a book. Do you want to start on the homework without her." Emma said with a smile, "sure," Jeremy sat down and opened his text book. "Hey guys! I see you already started on the homework," Alexis said walking back towards her friends, "I found the book I was looking for. Romeo and Juliet." She showed the book to her friends. Emma paid no attention to the book she wasn't big on romance. Once the three finished their homework they packed up their things and headed to Emma's house for dinner. "Mom I'm home!" Emma called out from the front door. Her mom walked in the room and Emma introduced her new friend Jeremy while her bestfriend Alexis was already in the kitchen looking for food. The three walked into the kitchen to find Alexis snacking on chips. "Your eating already!" Emma laughed, "Duh, when am I not eating, and plus I'm starving I haven't eaten in an hour." They laughed as they sat down at the table to eat dinner. As the four ate they shared little comments here and there and everyone complimented the cooking. After dinner the three kids sat on the porch talking about their day. "I saw a kid slip on a banana peel today!" Alexis said in amazement, "So? What's so special about that?" Emma questioned, "I thought that only happened in movies." Alexis said still amazed. The three laughed and continued talking. "Pegasus," Emma said lost in thought. The two asked her what she was talking about and she replied, "Pegasus. Jeremy asked what my favorite constellation was." They started to walk down the street towards Jeremy's house. "Thanks for hanging out with me today guys. I had a lot of fun." "No problem Jeremy. We should meet at my house again tomorrow at noon." Emma said and the three agreed on the plan. As Emma walked home alone it started to get dark. As she walked up the driveway she saw a glow come from the shed. She thought she was seeing things at first until she walked closer and opened the door to reveal a brighter greenish glow coming from behind the stack of boxes on the corner. She backed out not wanting to face the green glow alone, and scared to find out what was causing that glow.
