"I don't want them to come," Isabelle whined as she slumped onto her bed. "Those Yugen are a pain in the ass."
"I get why we don't want the Werewolves, but what is so bad about the Yugen?" I inquired.
"They love to provoke people and also they have an old-fashioned life," she said.
"Old Fashioned, huh? How?"
"They believe in polygamy, arranged marriage, suspicious believes and other annoying things," she grunted.
"They are the nature-loving people right." I raised a brow before sitting next to her.
"Yeah," she said. "I just pray those spoilt, disgusting girls don't show up."
"Who are you talking about?" I smirked.
"Breya, Aleera and Caelia," she snorted. "They make me sick to the stomach."
"Wow!" I exclaimed. "Well, they will definitely show up because they are royalty."
"I know," she said. "But I'm worried."
"Richard, right?" I asked.
"You know it, girl," she sighed. "He will be there and I'm worried that he will provoke Richard and if that happens then we both know the consequences."
"I'm sure my grandfather will talk to him about it," I assured her.
"I hope because the Richard I know doesn't know how to keep calm when he is around," she said.
"He will keep calm. I know that." I chuckled.
"How sure are you?" she asked.
"A hundred. He made me a promise, and he also respects Victoria and my grandfather." I grinned, confidence coated my voice.
"Okay, if you believe that then I do too," she muttered.
Isabelle's door flung open with force and George stepped in. He looked quite anxious. "Isabelle, we need to leave now. We need to see.." his voice trailed immediately he set his gaze on me.
"Annabelle, what are you doing?" he asked.
"I was talking to Isabelle here besides what's the problem? Why do you look so scared and where do you need to go urgently?" I raised a brow.
"We w w were planning to go tt to," he stuttered.
"To the movies." Isabelle chipped in and a burst of weird laughter followed.
"The movies? Okay, but why the weird behaviour?" I inquired. "There's no need to stutter that much, George. You are going to the movies, not a creepy place to meet a bad person."
"Yeah," George scratched the back of his head nervously. "Come on, Isabelle let's go."
"Wait!" I said in a loud voice. "What's the title of the movie?"
"The Lovebirds," Isabelle said.
"Wow! Nice title." I complimented. "Can I join you guys? I'm so bored here."
"Uh, I d d don't..." George stuttered again
"We don't have a ticket for you." Isabelle chipped in again. "I will love it if you could join us, but no ticket.
"Come on." I cried. "Oh well, have fun and George, please don't behave like this again, it's creepy."
"Sure," he said before grabbing Isabelle's hand so they could leave.
'Weird, why did Richard behave like that? Why do I feel something is off here?' I thought. 'Nah, you are overthinking this. Besides, why would Isabelle and George be up to something weird. Stop doubting your friends Annabelle.'
********
"There you are, Anna." Richard's voice through the hallway and there were quick footsteps that accompanied it.
"Richard." my voice contained a lot of happiness. "How long does a meeting with my grandfather?"
"A few hours," he smirked. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"
"Went to the library to see the collections we keep here. Found them pretty interesting." I answered.
"Our library is pretty stocked," he said. "Do you know where those lovebirds are?"
"Yeah, they went out. To the movies." I replied.
"Those two are always going out," Richard sighed. "Sometimes they stir up a lot of doubt in me."
My thoughts went flying after Richard spoke, I had doubts about them maybe I should tell Richard about. "Richard doubts?"
"Yeah, I know doubting friends is a bad thing, but.." Richard stated.
"I've felt that too," I muttered.
"Excuse me?" Richard said. "Have you felt anything weird about their behaviour?"
"Yeah. Like today." I said.
"Today? What happened today?" Richard asked.
"Well, Isabelle and I were talking in her room and then suddenly George barged in. He was talking about them going somewhere and his tone was quite scary," I said. "When I asked where they were going he started stuttering, it felt like as if he didn't have any excuse to make up but then Isabelle chipped in the movies as their destination"
"Did you ask them which movie they wanted to see?" he inquired.
"Yeah, I did," I mumbled. "It was a romantic movie titled The Lovebirds."
"What?" he gasped.
"Any problem?" I inquired.
"That movie doesn't exist," he said, rubbing the beard that started growing on his chin
"When did you grow a beard?" I asked.
"This," he smirked, touching his beard again. "This morning. My beard grew this morning."
"How?" I asked. "I saw you yesterday, and you had no beard."
"That's the way our facial hairs behave," he smirked.
"I didn't notice it during breakfast," I said, trying my best to remember if I noticed his beard.
"You were so grossed in the toast how would you be able to notice me ad my beard." he laughed.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes.
"I will still have to trim them," he said.
"Why? It makes you look more manly." I teased.
"Oh, really!" he smirked. "I need to cut it because it is against the laws of the people who serve in the army and also your grandfather doesn't want me to have them o during the dinner."
"Okay."
"Back to what I said, that movie doesn't exist," he repeated in a serious tone.
"That's a lie." I shut my eyes, preventing my imagination from flying. "Isabelle will not lie to me."
"Well, it seems she did," Richard said.
"You must be wrong Richard maybe you have no idea about the movie," I muttered.
"Annabelle, there is no cinema in Firce that is airing such a movie today," he said.
"That means they lied to me." I sighed.
"We need to find out what is going on, understand everything so we can solve the mystery," he whispered.
"Yeah, we will have to do that," I repeated.
"Anyway, forget about it because it's time for your tour," he yelled.
"Tour? Which tour?" I asked.
"The tour we planned to embark on today. Have you forgotten?" he raised a brow.
"No, but my grandfather.."
"He wants you to go on the tour so you can explore and have fun in your home," he stated. "We will be home in time for dinner."
"Yay!" I yelled, throwing my hands above my head to show my happiness.
Richard extended his hands to me, and a smile tugged on his lips. "Can we go, Princess Annabelle?"
"Yes, we can." I smiled, accepting his hand.
