Recovering is so boring!
After Richard and I went to the garden, The Firce Princess went back to square 1. Stuck in her room.
"How is my Princess doing?" my grandfather's voice brought me home.
"She is bored and sick of staying in her room." I whined.
"Is that so?"
"Yes, grandpa," I said. "I wanted to follow Richard."
"Richard went shopping." my grandfather reminded me. "He needed to buy a few things for himself."
I sighed at my unlucky situation. Being stuck in a room is so annoying.
"I have good news for you," my grandfather grinned at me. "Today the doctor is coming over to check up on you and if he says you are doing better than you can go out with Richard."
"Finally,"
My grandfather chuckled at my words. He didn't understand what I was going through here.
"How was your meeting grandpa?" I inquired.
"It was okay, and I'm so glad we could decide on something." my grandfather said.
"What exactly was the meeting about?"
"The annual sports festival." my grandfather declared. "We needed to plan where it will be held."
"So you guys choose to hold it where?" I asked.
"Greba."
I furrowed my brows to show that I was a bit confused. What is Greba?
"We call the Vampire Kingdom Greba." my grandfather said. "We will host the games there."
"The Vampire weren't present at the meeting, so why are they hosting the games?" I bit my lips slightly.
"The Vampires couldn't make it because of the festival they are holding." my grandfather informed. "Their festival is more important than a meeting for them."
"Okay," I muttered. "That means they are sentimental."
"Yeah. They are really sentimental." my grandfather warned. "Their culture is the best to them and if you try to challenge it, problems will arise."
"That's nice to know."
A slight knock on the door caught our attention. Victoria and the doctor came in after getting approval from my grandfather.
"Your Majesty." the doctor bowed to my grandfather.
"Doctor, how are you doing?" my grandfather inquired.
"I'm fine thanks to The Lights." the doctor grinned.
"Okay, go ahead." my grandfather ordered before taking a step back from me. "Victoria, please stay with her."
"Of course your majesty." Victoria gave a slight curtsey, and I watched my grandfather leave a kiss on my forehead before exiting the room.
"Princess, how have you been feeling this past week?" the doctor inquired.
"Fine."
"Have you been taking your medications on time?" the doctor asked. He kept his gaze on me.
"Yes."
"Okay." the doctor muttered before shifting his gaze to Victoria.
"The Princess looks okay to me." the doctor concluded. "A nurse will be here to check up on you in a few minutes."
"Sure," Victoria said before sitting beside me on the bed.
"I'm perfectly fine, Victoria," I whined like a two-year-old child. "I want to the things I before."
"Annabelle, what happened to you is not a joke," Victoria warned. "The Aries shot a poison dart at the The Firce Princess."
"But I'm fine now."
"I know, but I'm sure The King doesn't want to take chances with you." Victoria stated the obvious fact.
"I know." I mumbled.
I think I should ask Victoria what's on my mind.
"Victoria, I want to ask you something." I started. "It's about Richard."
Should I ask? Maybe Richard is just stressed out.
With a fixed gaze and her undivided attention, Victoria asked what I wanted to know about Richard.
"I don't know Richard well, but you do," I said. "I feel as if something is bothering Richard."
Victoria went quite a for a while, her expression was just like Richard. I felt certain that something was wrong.
Something is wrong, and I want to know.
"It's nothing, Annabelle," Victoria reassured me.
"Please don't lie to me," I begged. "I deserved to know the truth."
"It's complicated Annabelle and Richard doesn't want you to know about it," Victoria sighed. "But I will tell you."
I sat up straight just because I wanted to hear Victoria properly. "What's the story?"
"Richard is been hunted by his past. It's long and twisted, so listen up," Victoria instructed.
"Okay."
"Centuries ago, before Firce was the way it is, we were ruled by a tyrant demon who goes by the name Thogos. He was half demon, half man, and he was a dangerous person, hated by every living soul in Firce. The way he ruled over us left us in a rough shape." Victoria narrated.
"So was anything done to him?" I asked.
Victoria sighed. "Annabelle, just wait for me."
"Where are you going?" I inquired.
"A sec. Give me a sec."
Victoria dashed out of my room in a haste. I wonder where she is going?
I want to know what bothers Richard so much.
Mind reading didn't work today. I tried to read Richard's mind today but couldn't; it was as if he blocked me from accessing his thoughts.
"I'm back," Victoria announced. She held a glowing crystal in her hands.
"What's that?" I asked.
"A memory crystal," Victoria replied. "It contains a lot of past Firce memories."
"Even the one you were telling me about?"
"Yeah." she sighed. "The crystal will reveal a lot of memories and I want you to see these memories with your eyes."
I collected the crystal and observed it. It was round like a sphere and so bright.
"Won't it take forever to see them?" I asked.
"Yes, but if you sleep with it, then you will see it faster," Victoria said. "It will be like as if you are dreaming."
"Okay," I mumbled before examining the crystal properly.
How will I be able to see through it?
"When you place your hands on the crystal," Victoria instructed. "It will show you Richard's childhood memories and you will know the past that haunts him."
"Sure." I mouthed.
"Keep the crystal with you and when you are free, just place your hands on it." Victoria intrusted. "When you are done, you can tell me what you observed."
A feeling of fright and excitement flew through my veins. I could see Richard's memories.
"Take good care of it, Annabelle, and don't let anyone see it," Victoria said. "Especially Richard."
I nodded my head at her and watched leave the room.
I wonder what kind of memories Richard stored here.
