Chapter 37 - We're Pretending

The dawn call for praying (Azdan Shubuh) startled me from a brief sleep. I woke up to fulfill my obligations as a Muslim; carrying out Shubuh Praying.

Currently, since the first day I came to Malaysia, I usually continued to be disappeared behind the blanket after the dawn praying, but I didn't that day.

I went to the kitchen for preparing breakfast, but it wasn't happened. The breakfast was already served on the dining table.

Aunty and Uncle were also in the dining room for breakfast. They had their breakfast faster than usual.

"We're leaving for Switzerland for 8 days. if you need anything feel free to tell Mrs. Mah or Mr. Ali or Ryan", Aunty said and I just nodded.

"Anyway, the manager of Da Lusi is in furlough for a week...", she said.

"Leave it on me. I'll handle it for you", I already interrupted her before she finished her words.

Aunty Lusi calmly smiled. I wasn't an unemployed for a week with a condition, viz kept it remaining as a secret from Bunda.

I also agreed with her condition because Bunda isn't easy to handle. Then, they immediately left for the airport after Ryan joined.

I followed Ryan after escorting his parents to the door. I walked after him and stopped at the physical exercise room. Previously, I never knew that he did a regular exercise every morning to maintain his athletic body.

"I just found out that doctors also must be having six-packs abs", I joked.

"Actually, it's an eight-packs abs, wanna take a look ?", He showed off.

"Nope, it's aurat", I replied and laughed.

"The parts of my body above the navel isn't an aurat", he answered with a smile.

"Let's skip these topics, aurat and abs", I replied.

["Aurat" for Muslims is parts of the body which can't be visible. WOMEN'S AURAT is the whole body, except FACE and PALMS whereas MEN'S AURAT is from KNEE to NAVEL].

"What are they doing in Switzerland?" I asked.

"It's their second honeymoon", he said.

We didn't discuss what was happened the night before. He must have known so well that I didn't want to talk about it, or our relationship would get awkward instead.

I stayed there until Ryan finished his exercise, then I moved to my bedroom to get ready, as well as Ryan.

30 minutes later, we returned to the dining room for breakfast, then we went out together. He drove me to the Da Lusi before going to the hospital.

"Abang will pick you up in the evening", he said when we arrived at the restaurant.

I gave a signal of "no objection". I blankly stared at the car which had just left the Da Lusi.

Covertly, I wished, I hoped, the destiny didn't take him away from me.

If not, I wished I could be with him a bit longer. Despite I didn't ask for the justification, but don't blame me for that. Everyone will have the same expectation when they faced a man like Ryan in their life.
