Micheal was four when he regained all of his previous memories. He was overjoyed at being about to skip all that awkward stuff like getting used to his body and well the other things that happen at and after birth.
His parents being merchants and distant played into him begin able to integrate better in this world and his circumstances. Because of how much reading he did, to learn more, quickly it become his most favorite hobby.
He was saddened to learn that most of not all cultivation manuals are in the immortal realm, being monopolized by sects and other similar organizations.
Which means that he has to figure out a way to be accept into a sect. Good thing that sects like to be very traditional because they always go to big cities in their Territories every one hundred years and pick up new students.
It has been 98 years since they have come which means that an opportunity will present itself soon. He can't help but feel excited for being able to see a setting like a sect. A real life sect!
As he was daydreaming about all the new and exciting things that he can't wait to experience a small figure crept up behind him.
Looking at the book in his hands before lunging at him. Knocking his note the ground, making his book slide out of reach. "My book!" He yelled trying to reach it, but to weight on his back kept him stationary.
"Why do you want to become a cultivator big bro? Are we enough for you? Don't you love us?" A small pitiful voice said though look on the figures face was anything, but pitiful. Grinning mischievously with an amused look in his eyes.
"Little demon! You know I love all of you guys! Big bro won't be gone forever I'll visit!" Micheal whined and pleaded like a peasant begging for his life to a king. The brat pouted, but got off him.
Getting up and turning around Micheal was faced with 4 kids, the one that had jumped on him is named Jin, troublemaker he is. The one closest to Jin was Lei, sweet girl that one.
The twins in the back Jun and Gan was also regrettable troublemakers as well. Micheal blames this on Jin's influence.
It was then that Micheal notice another one missing. "Where is Mei?" The others smiled. A calm before the storm feeling washed over him.
Then footsteps ran off from behind him, when he turned around he saw blonde hair whipping around a corner. He also noted that his book that was previous on the ground was missing. He looked at the group of four as they also proceeded to run off as well.
"My book!?!" Micheal yelled but this time louder then before and took to running after them. After a bunch of twists and turns he ended up in front of the dinning room with the door closed. Giggling was heard from the inside. Cause Micheal a feeling of helplessness.
Opening the door he was met with cheers as well as a big cake at the center of the room. All 5 of the children were there sporting goofy expression and had box in there hands.
He has never had a birthday that was as sweet and as nice as this one in his new life. It has only been two years since he had taken in these kids and they were already bringing him so much joy.
Micheal then did something he hadn't done in years. He cried. After he was done they celebrated like there was no tomorrow and he made a promise to never forget moments like these.
The small ones.
