Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 life and journey (part 2)

The morning was spent trying to untangle limbs carefully as to not awaken his brother. Jin has always had a peculiar temperament in the mornings and is an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Better to be safe and sound eating breakfast then having to deal with Bedzilla. When I was finally able to escape the entrapment, and creep out the door. A thought struck me.

What if I explore the town a bit more before anyone wakes up yet? It's to early for shopping, but sightseeing is apart of travel. But first I need an accomplice, so I'm not the only one to take the fall if Jin awakes before we can get back.

With that he slowly walked to the door to the left and knocked. When he heard a series of foot step to heavy to be his sisters slowly approach the door, it was only then that he looked at the room number to the side. 106.... his sisters was room 104.

To knock on a strangers door in the morning, just barely before the sun decided to peak it's head above the horizon, was unthinkable. And yet here we are.

I could run, but the stairs are so far and the person is walking towards the door as we speak. If I get caught running I would look even more suspicious then I already do. My room is right next to this one, but hearing a door shut right after a knock is so creepy.

He didn't have time to contemplate anything as the door opened to reveal a woman. The woman was stunning and had black robes with silver designs. They look similar to the injured man's robes.

"What do you want?" She said in an impatient and demanding tone. Her nose scrunched up as though she smelled something bad. Clearly a very pampered young miss.

"I'm sorry miss your robes just look familiar," I'll use that as an excuse instead of the half baked ones I've thought of. It's a hell of a lot better then just knock on a cultivator's door this early.

Cultivator are very paranoid individuals, any excuse I used would have probably be taken with a grain of salt. If I fringe curiosity then it should be more acceptable.

"My robes are from the Heavenly Yu sect, I am the disciple of Master Ran Xu. One of the grand disciples at that. It is impossible for my robes to be 'familiar' to the likes of you." She said taking on an even more proud and arrogant tone. Her eyes flashing with disgust as she took in his appearance.

"Common rubble like you don't even deserve the air I breathe. I will not give you my name, but my family name so you know just how Beneath me you are mortal. I am from the great Xin family of the immortal realm."

I didn't even ask for you name? What does it matter? Oooh look at me I'm so great cause my family is so great blah blah blah... I can't handle this person at all. She's so annoying.

"Ah, forgive this mortal for the great sin I have cause you oh heavenly one. Who's beauty is unmatched and who's the most important person I will ever meet til the day I die. I have see a person with robes similar to yours lay dying with blacken wounds on the side of the room one town over. I believe I shall inform the divine mistress."

I don't even know half the crap thats spewing out of my mouth. Just trying to make things up as I go. Though I informed her of one of her fellow sect members.

She looks absolutely satisfied with my plea but the moment I mentioned the injuries her expression became cruel. Yep! She most definitely had something to do with it.

"Where is he now?!" She spoke in a stiff tone. Smiling sweetly at him as though she wasn't just a minute ago insulting his... What was she insulting again? Already forgot.

"We we're afraid of wild animals being attracted by his blood so we left him there miss. He was still alive though." Maybe she'll leave he wondered, and that's exactly what she did.

Without even a thank you or have a good day. Hell even an threat would have me better then just up and leaving. Whatever it is, she's gone now. Hopefully that man can get better soon without anyone trying for his life again.

Little did he or even she know that the very man they were talking about was watching their exchange. When she left he follow too.

"Xu Lee," his voice whispered almost mending with the cold air. His figure looming in the dark walking through the trees. Circling her figure on the road.

She was standing at a dried up pool of blood and something black mixed in. Four hours away from the nearest town by carriage, but to a cultivator of her level it was a five minute walk.

Hearing his voice she could help but hissing in frustration. "Fan!" Spitting out his name as though something vile and entered her mouth. Looking around to find him as his figure was covered by trees.

She wasn't even able to drawl her sword before vines erupted from the ground and wrap around her form. Binding and gaging her. The only thing showing was her eyes. At first filled with surprise before dread was the only thing left.

"You poisoned, and wounded me. What have I done to deserve such hatred directed toward me? Was it my status you are unsatisfied with or was I to strong for you to control? I thought our love was pure, but it appears that I was the only one.

Wounds of the heart will always be more painful then those of the body. The least I can do is try to make you understand a little of my pain. Even if it's just bodily pain."

With that the vines grew thorns, violently running across her body like a saw until she was skinless, screaming for death, to release her from this pain. But it did not come.

As a cultivator the mind is forged in a way that mind doesn't have any effect on the body as a way to curd cultivators from being taken over by their own negative emotions and becoming demonic cultivators.

This method did not work in favor for the young mistress as the shock she and her body was experiencing want enough for her body to shut down and die. She would suffer and hour death would last for another 4 hours.

"What were you thinking exploring by yourself? What if you got kidnapped or something?!" Jin stated hovering out a figure that was on the floor trying to stuff as much as he bought back into his pockets.

Jin saw that he was being ignored and smacked the back of Micheal's head.

"Who would want to kidnap me? If I was a kidnapper I wouldn't want to kidnap me! Your so mean!" Micheal yelled in a tone with confidence. Feeling that the conversation was pointless, and that Jin is only looking to release some stem before such a big event takes place.

"Eat some candy. You'll feel better." Micheal said placing his least favorite piece of candy into Jin's hand. Turned back to sort through him pile more.

The pile vaguely reminding him of Halloween, and the suitcase he used to carry around as a kid to collect candy. Shivering at the memory of a guy in a scary clown costume harassing kids for candy. Might have been a teen he shrugged.

Taking him out of his thoughts was a hand once again smacking the back of his head. This time it was because Jin knew this was Micheal's least favorite piece of candy.
