Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 life and journey (part 1)

(AN:Micheal, new name is Xian, but because of the lack of people around to really enforce it to him he always uses his previous name. He was from America btw. It's not really important information, but I thought I'd share it.)

Micheal was excited, but at the same time nervous. Those two years had felt almost felt unbelievable fast with all the training he did and the time spent playing with his siblings.

His siblings had been trying to convince him throughout this two years to forget about cultivation and stay, but his heart yearned for adventure and excitement. So, like a addict drawn to a substance, he to was drawn to cultivation.

When they were finally able to accept that he would change him mind a change happened that surprised him. Mei and Jin joined him in training. Mei being the youngest had to do less in order to avoid problems and Jin being the same age as Micheal took to it like a fish does to water.

Quickly becoming stronger then and more proficient the Micheal, but instead of envy Micheal felt proud. Confused about there change in behavior, but welcoming all the same. It wasn't until a year later he learn what they had decided.

Mei and Jin had decided to become cultivators too. Mei was drawn into it by the arguments Micheal had made on his behalf. While Jin didn't trust Micheal to not be stupid and get himself killed.

Now in their preparation to leave they say their good byes to the rest and set off on their journey.

Micheal's POV:

The bumps of the carriage was enough to lull Mei to sleep, but for a person who remembers the feeling of cars and not to mention the speed. I could help but sigh. Looking impatiently out the window as my hands twitch for a book.

It's feels as though I traded one addiction for another, phone for a book. I used to read an unhealthy amount before my death, but this is a whole new level of extreme. If I wasn't so driven about becoming a cultivator then I probably read myself to death.

I look toward Jin as he plays with a bunny he found on the side of the road. Ignoring me completely to mess with the small bunny with weird shapes on its fur. Most likely a magical beast. Rare for the mortal realm, common in the immortal realm. From what I read.

"I'm bored. I wish something interesting would happen." I whined to Jin to which both him and the bunny look at me with an exasperate expression.

Seeing both their expressions caused embarrassment to bubble up inside me and I preceded to shrink into my seat. The bumping of the carriage temporarily ignored as Jin got prepared to scold me for being impatient.

I remember a time when he was just a little trouble maker and now he's all mature and stuff! I'm being left behind I thought in amusement, but a feeling of uncertainty curled its way into my chest.

Curious at the feeling I decided to explore it instead of listening to Jin, but didn't get the chance to as the carriage stopped. To the bewilderment of all of us except for Mei. We weren't supposed to stop for another 4 hours.

Without thinking I rushed outside to figure out the situation leave behind a sleeping Mei and a surprised Jin. Looking around there are dense trees and it was looking to be about middle day by the looks of it.

Thoughts raced with epic battles scenes flashed through my mind from thieves to ninjas to demonic cultivators to assassins before the daydream was plucked violently by the slap on the back of the head.

Jin stood there with a glare on him face directed at me. "What were you thinking idiot! What if there was something dangerous and you got killed or in the way!?" He proceeded to scold me until it felt like stream had come out of my ears.

"I'm sorry.." Spoken in a regretful and weak voice. Shame burrowed deeply in me at my actions.

"Young master! There's a person in the middle of the road!" The carriage's driver yelled in a panicked voice. Looking at Jin we both nodded and made our way to the front to be meant with a figure laying in a pool of his own blood.

Jin, like the carriages driver had, also begin to panic, but for a different reasons. I walked towards the man to check on him. An uneasy feeling surrounded his body with every step as though a monster would come out at any second and take my life.

The feeling become worse the closer I got to the man, but nothing ever come of it. This pressure was a kin to the type I would have as a kid going into a dark room bye myself, fear. This fear was ten if not thirty times worse, but that's all it is. Just fear! Nothing will come of it!

With that I took more confident steps towards the man. Ignore the fear that lingers, and check the man. The man was an above average looking man, long black hair and black robes to match. This man was without a doubt a cultivator.

He was pale and his wounds were oozing blood and some form of black substance. Poison maybe.

I looked towards my brother meting his eyes I jerked my head towards the carriage driver. Thankfully my brother, the previous prankish master was able to tell what I wanted and distracted to the driver.

Pulling out a dagger, I was about to cut my arm open when a hand shot up and gripped it. Tension and pain filled eyes starred back at me and the knife before he once again feel unconscious. My arm was let go of leading to a red mark spread around it like a bracelet.

Clicking my tongue in displeasure. I proceeded to cut my arm and force him to drink my blood. This process making me cringe from pain and embarrassment. I feel like I'm in one of those vampire movies.

Slowly the wounds stopped oozing the black substance. I took my hand away from his mouth shivering in disgust at what I just did.

I pulled my sleeve down and called out to Jin and the carriage coach. Me and Jin worked hard on undressing and wrapping the man in bandages before pulling me to the side and silently bandaging my arm. He looked to be in about as much pain as I felt.

We set the man in the back of the coach and placed a tarp over his just in case. In the carriage, Mei had just awaken up as we proceeded to explain what happened. She cried when we mentioned that I used my blood to heal purge the foreign substance from him body.

The ability I asked that being for had an interesting side effect to it. Since my body is immune to any toxics and poisons my blood had developed the ability to be used to cure it. Though I don't want it known that I have such a gift. So, only my siblings know.

My siblings and now maybe that stranger at the back of the coach. I would bet on him knowing since he was unconscious, but he might have a memory of me pulling a knife though. Well he isn't died so I guess he wouldn't take it personal.

The coach arrive at the inn 4 hours later with three exhausted kids and an injured man. Buying three rooms. Mei having a room to herself as she is 11 and is now a 'big girl' as she likes to remind us. Me and Jin decided to share a room, and the injured man got a room to himself.

Since he was still unconscious we had to get help from the locals with carrying him up the stairs. They were support nice, and they also warned up about how some people can be dangerous and blah blah blah.

After thanking them we went to sleep. We have to get up early tomorrow to head to the Jade city. The place where the selection process will take place.

The Heavenly Yu sect is holding its examinations at the Jade city. While other sect are doing the same thing in the capital of there own territories as well.

If the man was still unconscious when it's time to leave in the morning then we will just pay the inn the keep him for a month. If he isn't up by then well, we did all that we could.
