Felicity's POV
I open my eyes to my alarm going off. Ugghhh. It's Monday, that means a whole five more days of torture. It's not that I don't like school, I do. I just don't like waking up at ungodly hours to deal with insane people.
I hate dealing with people, actually I just hate people in general.
I get ready in about 15 minutes, and I go downstairs for my favorite on-the-go breakfast. A toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I grabbed the bagel and headed out to meet Ace.
Ace is my best friend. We have been friends since we were five. I was swinging at recess when my older sister and her gang of friends started throwing rocks at me. Little five-year-old Ace ran right up to them and yelled at them to quit. We were inseparable after that. He is the best best friend I could ask for. We watched all kinds of movies, even romance and Disney, which are our favorites. We played a lot of video games together. He gets mad because I beat him at Call of Duty and Madden. He really hates to lose but, so do I.
We walked a few blocks to meet Aiden. Ace and I met Aiden at our favorite place, Books-A-Million, we were discussing how Bella was a retard for choosing Edward instead of Jacob. Of course, we were a little biased because Ace is a werewolf. Oops, you can't tell anyone I told you that. It's a secret. Anyways, back to Aiden. He walked up to us and basically told us off because Edward is great, and vampires are a lot cooler than werewolves.
Yep, you guessed it, he is a vampire, and you can't tell anyone that either because it's also a secret.
However, there is no symbolism between us and the dynamic trio of Edward, Bella and Jacob. Yes, we love each other, but we are not in love with each other. These two weirdos are more my brothers than anything.
We make it to school five minutes later, and head straight to our lockers. We were able to choose our lockers this year, so they are all by each other. The best part about it is they are the full-length lockers like on High School Musical. Yes, I am 17, and of course I still love High School Musical, who doesn't?
"Hey, Felicity."
I turned to see Sebastian.
"Hey," I said back.
Sebastian is always nice. It is who he is. He always says hey and asks how I am doing but it never really goes beyond that, until today.
"Did you see the new student?" He asks.
"No, I just got here. Why do you ask?" I questioned.
"He's name is Andrew. And IDK. I was just wondering. Also, I have a question." He states nervously.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Would you like to hang out sometime outside of school? Like dinner or a movie? Or dinner and a movie? Or whatever you want to do is fine. You don't have to I was just asking...and now I'm rambling. I'm just going to shut up now." He rambles nervously.
"Sure, you can come hangout with Aiden, Ace, and I anytime. You don't have ask; we are all friends." I reply, looking back at my locker to make sure I grab the right books and binders for class.
"Friends…. right…sounds dandy." He says rather flustered. I wonder what's going on him.
"It'll be nice to add someone to our friend group. When were you thinking?" I reply.
"How about Friday?" He states but it comes out as a question as if he wasn't certain.
"Okay. I'll tell Ace and Aiden. See ya later." I respond.
When I look over to see if the boys were ready to go to class, I see the most gorgeous guy I have ever laid eyes on. He is 6'2" with tan colored skin, and his hair is a dark brownish color with sun-made blonde highlights giving him a more of a dirty blonde look. He has a broad chest with a defined 8-pack. He is fit, but lean, as if he can fight off two people at once, but also go run a few miles without losing his breath. He is wearing dark, fitted blue jeans with a white t-shirt, which allows you to see the ying-yang sign tattoo on the back of his right shoulder. What is really cool about the tattoo is the lines of the tattoo are made up of a dragon's body with the head above the sign and the tail below the bottom. There is a white ball at the top of the left part of the initial ying-yang sign and a black ball at the bottom right part of the initial ying-yang sign, the dragon's respective feet are holding the balls in place. He also has a tattoo of the ancient werewolf sign on his right forearm, a circle with a triangle going through it with the lines crossing. It has a square with the top line being the top of triangle inside the larger circle with a smaller circle in the middle. Did I mention he was gorgeous and built? He is even more defined than Ace, which speaks for its self since Ace is a werewolf. He is completely drool-worthy. I have never seen anyone that hot before, nor have I cared until today. Where has this Greek god been all my life?
"Felicity. Hello. Can you hear me?" Ace asked while waving his hand in front of my face pulling me out of my embarrassing day dream.
"W-w-what? Stop waving your hand in front of my face before I yank it off your arm." I state.
"We called your name like five times. Where were you?" Aiden asked.
"Ummmm..." I tried to come up with an excuse to hide that I was almost drooling over the new kid, what was his name again? Axel, no, Asher, no that's not right.
As I am once again lost in my thoughts, I do not notice that there is someone standing in our trio. A very HOT someone, might I add.
"Hey, Ace." The newcomer said. Man, I really need to figure out his name.
"'Sup Andrew. Fancy seeing you here." Ace replies. Andrew, that's it.
"Well, I figured I would take your advice about school. I mean what else am I going to do with my day?" He remarks.
"Yeah, I'm smart like that. Anyways, these are my loyal companions, my fellow musketeers, my best friends, Aiden and Felicity." Ace says.
"Wow, how dramatic of you," Aiden sarcastically remark, while shaking hands with Andrew.
"Nice to meet you." He smiles.
"You, too. Ace, may I talk to you a minute?" Andrew asks. He doesn't even acknowledge my presence. I have never felt so inadequate before. So worthless of space. So, invisible. Why do I feel so hurt because someone didn't notice me, that is what I strived for since the accident.
"Sure. What's up?" Ace replies.
Andrew looks at Aiden warily, then looks at Ace and says, "In private."
Ace starts laughing, like tears running down his face laughing. Doubled over, holding his stomach laughing.
"Ace, why are you laughing?" Aiden questions. "Ignore him. He thinks he is so smart but obviously he is not."
After a few more minutes of Ace's hysterics, he finally gets out, "Andrew, they know my secret, just like Felicity and I know his." He says while pointing at Aiden at the end of his sentence. Aiden then starts laughing just as hard, too. What the mess is going on? And then it hits me. It's like a light bulb goes off in my head. Secret. He is talking about Aiden and his secret. Wait, what does that mean about Andrew? Obviously, he is not a vampire, but does that mean he is a werewolf? Man, I really need to get away from here. I can smell Andrew and it is making my brain fog up. I begin to walk towards first period.
I make it to class without either of my "best friends" noticing I left without them. Buttholes. I walked to my usual seat, the front seat by the window. Yes, I'm in the front row, yes, I am a nerd. But I sit by the window because I get so far ahead in class that I normally just stare out the window. One thing to know about me is that I LOVE being outside. Nature is my true best friend.
"Hey, Felicity, why did you walk off and leave us?" Aiden asks while taking his seat beside me, while Ace sits behind me. When I look over to answer I notice that Andrew is sitting behind Aiden.
"Well, you know I like to be early to read, and I didn't want to interrupt y'all. So, I walked here." I answered.
"You could never interrupt us," stated Aiden.
"Well, there was that one time when you and I were playing COD and she wouldn't leave us alone until we went to the store because there was no more mint chocolate chip ice cream," Ace says.
Andrew starts laughing. I can't help but think of how amazing it sounds. How I want to not just hear it but initiate it? Man, what is wrong with me? First, I get butt hurt over not being noticed and now I'm dreaming about ways to make Andrew laugh.
"Well, you knew I was coming over and you also know that my favorite thing in the whole wide world is mint chocolate chip ice cream. You should have known to stock up. Plus, you could pause the game. I cannot, however, pause my stomach from its grumbling because it wanted chocolate chip ice cream." I responded like it was the most logical thing in the world.
At this, Aiden and Ace joined Andrew in his laughter. I just glared at them and picked up my book to read. Reading was probably my favorite thing in the world to do besides hang out with Ace and Aiden, especially since the accident. I started staring out the window while thinking about that night. The night it happened. Even though it happened two years ago, it still hurts like it was yesterday. I felt myself start to tear up, so I turned to the boys.
"I'm going to the restroom," I state rather quickly and quietly, but I knew they could hear me with their supernatural abilities.
I walked into the restroom and splashed cold water on my face, trying to get my bearings back. Every time after the accident I would close my eyes all I would see is my mom. Her smile. Her eyes. Her internal and external beauty. Sometimes I could sit in my room and I swear I would hear her laughing in the kitchen. I would fly down the stairs and into the kitchen and she wouldn't be there. Those times were the worst.
After about five minutes, I finally felt like I was good to return to class. I walked in with my head and eyes down and sat in my desk. About a minute later, Mrs. Cunningham walked in.
After the lecture was over an hour and a fifteen minutes later, we walked out going to our lockers. I was still annoyed that Andrew ignored me earlier, and I still felt a little off after going the whole lecture thinking of my mom.
"Felicity, are you okay?" I turned to see Aiden, Ace, and Andrew looking at me.
I looked to Aiden, then Ace, and then Andrew where my eyes lingered a little too long for my liking, it was like I couldn't look away, before dragging my eyes back at Aiden to answer.
"Yeah." I answered briefly.
"You don't seem fine." This was Ace. It seemed they were ganging up on me, like usual.
"Well, I am. Now if you guys don't mind, I need to get my books and get to class," I stated. I turned and finished walking to my locker. I retrieved my books, shut my locker, and turned to go to class. I took one step and came face to face with a chest. A very good-looking chest, might I add.
"Felicity, may I walk you to class?" Andrew asked. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I did not see this coming, especially after he completely ignored me this morning before first block.
"May I ask why?" I asked in return, maybe even rudely without meaning to, of course.
Andrew look slightly taken aback by my question. It almost looked as if hurt flashed through his eyes, but I had to be seeing things. How could I possibly hurt him?
"Because I want to." He said skeptically.
In a weird way, I wanted him to walk me to class. I felt oddly connected to him. Yes, there was attraction, but it was so much deeper than that. But this morning was still nagging at me.
"You want to walk me to class now, but this morning you completely ignored me. Why the sudden change in heart?" I asked. I felt like this was a loaded question, but not from what we are talking about. It's this gut feeling telling me that something is there right on the surface, but I can't quite grasp it.
He looked puzzled, as if trying to remember what I was talking about. Wow, he can't even remember. I took this as my cue to leave. I side-stepped a still dumbfounded Andrew and started walking to my second block. I honestly don't understand why he wants to talk to me now. He didn't even introduce himself to me this morning when Ace said mine and Aiden's name. All he did was focus on how Aiden was a vampire. I need to ask Ace if Andrew is a werewolf or not. But how else would he know that Aiden is vampire.
I learned early on that they each had a supernatural smell to them, don't ask me to explain I don't know how it works because I don't have a supernatural nose. But Ace and Aiden knew each of their species in the first conversation we had together. I found out later once Aiden realized that I knew Ace's secret.
