(A few moments before Rai and Kai unleash their attack, up the road at another village, a young man with narrow green eyes walks along the road back to the Uesugi Village. His hair is styled in a way that he keeps it long and straight at the lower back, the top and upper side portions of his hair are heavily groomed and swept back into a long spiky fringe. He also wears a white loose-fitting shirt with a white and light blue cloak that stops passed his elbows. Alongside him is his younger sister wearing the same clothing.)
Kol: So now that we have completed our task in locating and returning our family's most sacred medallion. Are you ready to return home again? I'm sure you've probably missed mother.
Willow: How long have we've been gone for? A month?
Kol: Two.
Willow: It's been that long? Unbelievable.
Kol: We were on a long mission for our family. When we return home we will be seen in a different light. I hope you can handle the spotlight, Willow.
Willow: Do you think our mother is still up at this time?
Kol: Most likely. Knowing her, she's probably reading. Mother was always deep into her books.
Willow: I wonder what my big sister is doing right now.
Kol: Tell me, something sister. Why do you care so much about her?
Willow: I don't know. I suppose its the same reason I care so much about you. You're my siblings. I guess if I had to give an answer, I'd guess I would say that I love learning about her. She's still a mystery to me.
Kol: But she rarely comes around the town when you there? And when she is in proximity, she's only there to see Prince of The Lockheart Kingdom, not her supposed family.
Willow: Lunafreya is royalty, I'm sure she simply doesn't have the time.
Kol: Do not forget little sister, we are royalty within our own clan as well.
Willow: Don't worry, I won't forget.
Kol: Come. We are nearly at the village. We'll eat dinner with father and head out first thing in the morning back home. Sounds good?
Willow: Yes. I cannot wait to see mother again.
(Just as Willow says this, they see several fireballs coming down from the sky, crashing down into the village. As they stand in utter shock, they begin to hear the screams of the people that weren't killed on impact.)
Kol: Come on, Willow! We do not have time to waste!
Willow: Do not worry! We are on our way, father!
(As Willow says this, they both burst off in speed towards their clan's original village. Meanwhile, as this takes place, back in Dante's cell, Dante and Kate conclude their hug.)
Dante: I see...I believe you mother.
Kate: Thank you.
Dante: However, me believing you doesn't change anything. It doesn't change what I've done, it doesn't change who I am and it doesn't change my fate. Nevertheless, I am in your mercy.
Kate: How are you in my mercy, Dante?
Dante: Come now, mother. You and I both know Mason would've killed me back in Lexington City. I know that I have to thank for that.
Kate: You do not have to thank me.
Dante: Tell me, mother, why am I here in a cell and not six feet under? My initial thoughts were to torture me, but then I came to the conclusion that you need me. Moreover, that you needed something from me.
Kate: You were always sharp, Dante, but before we get into that there are some other things I wanna discuss.
(Just as Kate says this, back over in the burning Uesugi Village, Kai chases after the few villagers with his dagger in hand.)
Kai: Run all you can! You're just making this even more exhilarating!
(As Kai says this, he cuts one of them off by suddenly appearing in front of them. The villager tries to escape, but Kai slashes at his calf making it impossible to run. After this, he stands over him and stomps his foot into his chest with such force that he stomps through it entirely, killing him. He then kicks up a piece of broken wood and throws it through the other two villagers as they tried to escape.)
Kai: No one escapes my hell.
(As Kai says this, he dodges an arrow shot at him.)
Kai: Oh? Someone's alive and dares to fight back? Why don't you come out and show yourself?!?
(Hiding behind some of the rubble, Kol peeks through to get a glance of Kai.)
Willow: What should we do Kol? What's the best course of action?
Kol: Leave him to me. I want you to go to the sanctuary and retrieve the medallion.
Willow: On it!
Kol: Remember, stay focused.
Willow: I will.
(As Willow heads towards the sanctuary, Kai grows increasingly impatient.)
Kai: So you won't show your face eh? Then I guess I'll just have to hunt you down just like the prey you are!
(Just as Kai says this, Kol reveals himself to Kai.)
Kai: Ah there you are. Was it you who shot an arrow at me?
Kol: No, it was my sister.
Kai: Your sister huh? Then I guess I'll just have to kill her as well.
Kol: I'm afraid you won't get the chance. After what you've done to my people's home, you won't be making it pass me.
Kai: Tough guy aren't you? I don't think you wanna play this game with me. I promise it won't end well for you...Or your sister.
(As Kai says this, he comes in dashing toward Kol. Kol begins to fire ice bullets at Kai, but he either dodges them or deflects them with his dagger. Once in close range, Kai goes for an attack, but Kol jumps back. Kai closes the distance and begins his barrage of attacks close-quarters combat. As Kai is attacking, Kol begins to dodge what seems to be an unending, unrelenting barrage of strikes. In amidst of this, Kai starts to laugh as he tosses up his dagger and catches it with his other hand.)
Kai: I must admit, I didn't expect to find a suitable plaything in this backwater village, but you are definitely skilled. Too bad you won't be surviving this encounter.
(As Kai says this, he goes for another strike with his dagger, but Kol creates a wall of solid ice, freezing Kai's right hand into the wall. Then Kol catches Kai with a stiff kick threw the wall of ice and crashes into a burning building. Shortly after this, an enraged Kai burst through the rubble and charges towards Kol, tackling him through several homes and buildings. As Kol breaks free, Kai comes in with a breath-taking knee strike to the gut and a backflip kick that makes him lose his balance for a moment. Next, Kai continues on with his unending combinations of attacks to Kol's surprise.)
Kol: (This guy is no joke! Its likes the more I damage him, the more excited and explosive he gets. I must keep my cool if I'm to beat this guy.)
Kai: What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?
Kol: No. The cat has yours.
(As Kol says this, he goes for a sweep kick, Kai sees it coming and jumps over it, but Kol is one step ahead of him as he vanishes above him and hits him with a heel kick on the top of his head causing Kai to bite down onto his tongue. After this, Kol blasts Kai with a powerful ice blast sending crashing back.)
Kol: Now that he's taken care of, I'll use this brief moment to send out a distress bird to mother. Hopefully, this will get to her in time.
(As Kol says this, he creates a bird out of ice and sends it flying towards the Uesugi clan sector in the Lockheart Kingdom. Within the sanctuary, Rai sees the medallion and as he approaches it, Willow fires off multiple arrows.)
Rai: Well isn't this a surprise? I didn't suspect that there would be anyone to oppose my brother and I.
Willow: You and your brother will pay for what you've done!
Rai: Oh on the contrary. We will walk away scratch-free.
Willow: Over my dead body.
Rai: Oh my dear, that can be arranged.
(As Rai says this, he suddenly vanishes in front of Willow and goes for a punch that she blocks, but the steer force pushes her back. After this, they begin trading shots, both landing impactful blows on one another. Unfortunately though, due to Rai's strength and speed, he lands a decisive blow to the gut the knocks the air out of Willow. As she falls to her knees, Rai goes and retrieves the medallion and leaves. As he exits the sanctuary, he sees Kol standing there, then his brother Kai pulling himself out of the debris.)
Kai: You're dead!!!
Rai: Kai that is enough. We have what we came here for. Let's go, you'll have another chance at killing him later.
Kol: Where is my sister?!?
Rai: Within the shrine of course. Do not worry, I spared her. However, next time I promise I won't be as merciful.
(As Rai says this, he creates a portal for him and Kai as they exit.)
