"...Thanks, I guess, but I'm fine," Vanilla responded to the skeleton, rejecting for now to take any of the relics or treasures inside that place. And not because she didn't want them, but with a sword as tall as her on her back, a magical revolver, Avrevm Bacvlvm, and The Key Fragment, She preferred to not risk it and lose them mid-way back home.
"Foolery," Jonathan the skeleton responded in a hospitable tone. "Give me your backpack." He grabbed a stack of gold coins and gems from a sack on the ground and gripped a fair punch with his skeletal hands. "Take this with you. Trade them for money and buy yourself something nice."
"Wow, that must cost a fortune!" Rowie said.
"Quite indeed..." Vanilla spread the top of her leather backpack and Lancelot filled it with gold and gems. She put the heavy bag on her back once again. "I guess I'll buy myself a new pair of boots and a new jacket. And something tasty for Rowie." She smiled. The pup wagged his tail.
